The best restaurants in Tendring East of England

food never turned up and when I called the restaurant it had shut! and no answer

What a disaster. Where to start. Firstly the app to order wasn’t operational so there was a queue to order food with the one member of bar staff on duty. Then lots of items were out of stock which made ordering for a lactose intolerant member of the family difficult. Staff did not know the menu and had to check to make sure peas were suitable for lactose intolerant people! When the food eventually arrived it was overcooked and cold. Rice was dry and when the chips came back after being reheated they were dripping in grease. One of the meals came with items not included on the menu such as cheese and mayonnaise. Both these items could be allergens and were not identified prior to ordering. As for the ambiance, staff appeared to be “going through the motions”, two of the three men’s toilets were out of action and a number of ceiling tiles were missing. Definitely not worth the inflated cost for being on a caravan park. Went off site for rest of holiday

Disappointing. I gave them a second chance as they used to be fantastic. Unfortunately still not good. I have no words for the vegetable mini rolls 🥺. Now looking for a new Chinese takeaway.

Visited today, had the best roast dinner, three had beef and one had chicken, ample portions,definitely compliments to the chef, lovely food and lovely staff. Ray & Jackie.

The staff where friendly enough and customer focused. HOWEVER, the duty manager was completely rude and not customer focused. She is the type of person that stops me wanting to part with my money. It was suppose to be a treat fore and my mum, which was ruined by her. The tables were filled with dirty trays, she also didn't put any day dots on the the cakes she got out and was picking cutlery up with her hands touching the parts that you put into your mouth. Since she's been working there the atmosphere is marred. I would rather sit in a dirty pigsty. The pigs would be more friendly. Hurry up and open Starbucks (even though it's not my go to coffee outlet) Change your attitude, if not change your sour face. Perhaps customer facing roles are not for you.

This review needed to be done years ago. Dimitri kassaris is gunna be the future manager of favourite chicken hands down. Never seeen a better worker, better customer satisfaction, better cooking ability, better customer care, better understanding on how to run a top tier establishment. Dimitri I think your thst man. I’m also a food critic and I strongly believe you need to be a manager now, as in 2 years time youlll run your own business I’m sure of it. Dimitri take a bow you deserve it!! Love you

Mostly a takeaway business although I think they have the odd table in there! Regular customer and have never had a complaint - good food, generous portions and friendly service - give it a try!

This was one of the best cafes we had in Clacton sadly no longer open I used to go here as often as I could

0wner chatty shop run down only has cod only no other food on show no pies savs have to wait for food to be cooked shop could be given a lick of paint

Disgusting slimy undercooked ( raw in middle) chicken burger soggy sorry excuse for an onion ring in it and cardboard warm at best fries One star is far too high for what they served me tonight!!

we thought we would give this fish and chip shop a go, but we will not be going back the fish should have been medium more like small and batter was very hard like it been sitting around for a while, not freshly cooked..The chips were also a small portion and loads of very small hard bits. We have eaten fish and chips in loads of places around the country and this was one of the worst and the most expensive,

A great selection for breakfast with the staff being really attentive and happy! cant beat a good sosig roll thats for sure

This morning had a lovely breakfast at the Boardwalk bar and grill Clacton..Recommend it highly .Wonderful as usual .Denise is a star .Lovely girl .Service great .Value for money .Pleasant surroundings too .And from Mon to Fri .They have a 2 course lunch menu for £9.99 for over 60s .Go there you won’t be disappointed xx
