The best restaurants in Tendring East of England

Randomly stopped here after the beach for food and I’m so glad we did! Beautiful pub with outdoor dining, it was so peaceful. The staff were friendly and the food was UNREAL. I had the chorizo and prawn pasta, my partner the burger and we ordered some random picky bits for our toddler and every single bit was so tasty! Would 100% recommend this pub, the partner wants to drive back 2 hours for a roast! We use Walton beach a lot so will defo be our stop for after. Thank you!

Very swift service. Food pipping hot. Used drive-thru. Liked to see that packaging is linked to vehicles on drive-thru... good way to limit littering

Lovely atmosphere at the Brewers Fayre in Harwich — the staff were warm, friendly, and couldn’t do enough for us. The service was quick and professional, and the whole place was clean, welcoming, and great for families or a relaxed catch-up. Will definitely be back!

This was once a very good restaurant, sadly no more Had to return food to be reheated Live music extremely loud and no conversation to be had Will not be returning

A lovely warm welcome, and cracking food freshly cooked, and at a reasonable price! The fish and the batter were beautiful and the chips were just as good, not greasy at all, and well worth the trip from Cambridge

The food was ok for us. We would have liked to have had a table by the window for 4 people. There were only tables for two and four in the second row and it was impossible for us to move them (in the otherwise pretty bad restaurant). Frustrating when it suddenly became possible during the course of the evening and with other staff... The one star is mean because it had nice staff, but the one lady who served us so poorly and rudely and was more concerned with monitoring and correcting her hairstyle really ruined our evening.

ordered last night, 3 very disappointed adults and a waste of money, my meal and the quality of the meat was bad very fatty lamb it also seemed like it wasn't entirely lamb looking by the colour of the meat and tasted like there was piece of pork. no flavour what so ever just taste like naga sauce. won't be returning!

Absolutely horrible service, The driver was very verbally abusive to me, and ended up throwing my poor food on the floor, curry sauce stained all my front door mat and i had to throw it away. Then the delivery driver called me an idiot. Horrible service never again.

Saffron is quite simply Out Of This World. This restaurant cook the best Indian food I've ever had, and I have had A LOT of Indian food!! The service, the restaurant, the food, the cleanliness, the flavours, the colours, the atmosphere, the choice, the EVERYTHING. I cant recommend these guys more! I'll never eat from any other Indian for sure. I'd move into this restaurant if they'd let me :o)

What a Crap Chicken Shish ☹️ Worst I’ve ever had. They put it in the Pitta Bread so by the time I got home it was Soggy and Cold. Nothing wrapped tight to keep it warm. I only had to drive Kirby to Holl on Sea. I went in to pay and they said I had to order on-line 🤨 Whaaaaaa …. So I’m stood there in the shop in front of em ordering on me bleedin phone 🤨 Crazy.

Great fish and chips! Dined in the restaurant and came back again for a takeaway as it was so nice! Best fish and chips we had in the area.

Mother's day and wanted quick lunch. Managed to get table for 3. Service was great, staff great, food great. Would recommend definitely
