The best restaurants in Tendring East of England

Service gets poor , always things from you order get forgot. Check before you go. Last time while waiting in the car they gave my order to someone else.

Because was very polite and excellent service .

This was once a very good restaurant, sadly no more Had to return food to be reheated Live music extremely loud and no conversation to be had Will not be returning

A lovely warm welcome, and cracking food freshly cooked, and at a reasonable price! The fish and the batter were beautiful and the chips were just as good, not greasy at all, and well worth the trip from Cambridge

The food was ok for us. We would have liked to have had a table by the window for 4 people. There were only tables for two and four in the second row and it was impossible for us to move them (in the otherwise pretty bad restaurant). Frustrating when it suddenly became possible during the course of the evening and with other staff... The one star is mean because it had nice staff, but the one lady who served us so poorly and rudely and was more concerned with monitoring and correcting her hairstyle really ruined our evening.

ordered last night, 3 very disappointed adults and a waste of money, my meal and the quality of the meat was bad very fatty lamb it also seemed like it wasn't entirely lamb looking by the colour of the meat and tasted like there was piece of pork. no flavour what so ever just taste like naga sauce. won't be returning!

Loved everything. The food was lovely, the staff were very friendly and we found it very welcoming. I am meeting friends for dinner today!!

2.5 hour wait for food was crazy… even after chasing 3 times kept being told wouldn’t be long… needs to be more honest! That being said… food was nice although wasn’t partially hot once arrived and had leaked badly in the bag like it had been chucked in there in a rush.

Saffron is quite simply Out Of This World. This restaurant cook the best Indian food I've ever had, and I have had A LOT of Indian food!! The service, the restaurant, the food, the cleanliness, the flavours, the colours, the atmosphere, the choice, the EVERYTHING. I cant recommend these guys more! I'll never eat from any other Indian for sure. I'd move into this restaurant if they'd let me :o)

Absolutely fab our first meal from you and we loved it very i had tasty duck chow mein and the wife had duck pancakes all very tasty many thanks to all ....

What a Crap Chicken Shish ☹️ Worst I’ve ever had. They put it in the Pitta Bread so by the time I got home it was Soggy and Cold. Nothing wrapped tight to keep it warm. I only had to drive Kirby to Holl on Sea. I went in to pay and they said I had to order on-line 🤨 Whaaaaaa …. So I’m stood there in the shop in front of em ordering on me bleedin phone 🤨 Crazy.

Great fish and chips! Dined in the restaurant and came back again for a takeaway as it was so nice! Best fish and chips we had in the area.

Mother's day and wanted quick lunch. Managed to get table for 3. Service was great, staff great, food great. Would recommend definitely

Had a lovely meal from mayflower Chinese last night. Great value for money. Portions were huge and like the fact there's so much choice on the menu. And the value meals are well worth the price. Thank you
