Starbucks is Starbucks, or so I thought. Friendly enough staff and service when ordering. However menu lacked decaf tea. And after taking my name, my name was not called when my order was ready. Caramel short bread, seemed to just be a slab of chocolate, with bread crumbs glued on with caramel. Was reasonable quiet when we entered, but steadily became harder to make conversation over the noise of music which seemed to keep getting turned up.
Since I’ve ordered I’ve seen people come in, order, get served, finish their food, leave and I still haven’t got my food.
Got a starter bout half an hour ago so should be good👍

Ordered at 8:18pm tonight on Uber eats, been waiting over 3 hours before the restaurant claimed food had been delivered at 11:29pm when it hasn’t at all! By the looks of other reviews on here do NOT order online with this restaurant as you’ll be very disappointed. Was looking forward to trying something different but I will never be attempting from here again.

Delicious food my favourite place to stop by whenever I'm hungry great helpful and understanding staff. The main guy always knows what I want to eat as I'm a regular customer xx
Came here recently for bubble tea with friends. Ordering and payment is done on electronic panels, and there's lots of cool choices on offer. Service is pretty fast, and the prices are okay for the size. They taste decent too. Overall, a fairly happy experience!
We hadn’t been here for a long time (pre-pandemic). However, we were looking for somewhere for an unplanned family meal and this seemed perfect. The service was excellent. We can’t fault it, really family friendly, kind and attentive.
The food was shockingly bad. We wondered whether it had been taken over (the interior has changed) or a sign of cost cutting in a terrible financial climate especially for hospitality. But it was enough for us not to return, sadly. The Mac and Cheese was tasteless gloop. The chicken burger was so deep friend there was no chicken left. It was served in a cold bun, one leaf of lettuce, and a squirt of mayo. The chips were drenched in grease as were the onion rings (which incidentally suffered the same fate as the chicken). All in all, we left feeling we’d had several plates of batter and little else.
It’s so sad to see where Captain America’s has ended up. We hope it can bounce back before losing customers who remembered how it used to be.
Probably the most expensive coffee here than anywhere else in Norwich! Price for the same served flat white is £1.25 more than in Costa, Waterstones, and the service is less friendly too.
Stopped of for a light lunch and a couple of drinks whilst out on a days boating trip. I wasn’t expecting too much as I’ve been here before, but any hopes of an improvement were dashed as soon as we arrived.
We moored the boat and made our way to the front door where we were greeted by the smell of sewage. As the weather was so nice we had already decided we would sit outside, but the smell meant we had to be selective about which table was far enough away from the stench.
Once inside we ordered our drinks and although the selection of drinks was fine, the hospitality from the bar staff wasn’t. So miserable an unwelcoming.
We ordered our food which was delivered to our table in a reasonable time but when we asked for cutlery we were to it was inside and we had to get it ourselves. The waitress obviously went to the same charm school as the bartender.
The food was no better than the sandwich you would get from a supermarket with a few crisps and a green leaf as a side salad. The leaf was joined by two slivers of onion and one wafer thin slice of tomato but there was no dressing, leaving it dry, bland and tasteless.
We had one more drink and in total sat outside for about an hour and a half. During the whole time nothing was cleared from ours is adjoining tables, despite the staff inside standing idly.
The condiments which you have to collect yourself were standard sauces etc. all of which should be refrigerated after opening, these were left out inside and outside in 27 degrees heat. Maybe a little food hygiene training required.
I recommend the owner takes himself and his staff for lunch The Heron pub in Stowebribge. There you are assured of a warm welcome, great service and a selection of light lunches which are I a different league to what we experienced at The Ship.
Won’t be back.
We are fairly regular theatre-goers and our favourite venue is the Theatre Royal in Norwich. We always try and make it an "occasion" and will often invite friends along as our guests to help add something extra special to what is always a pleasurable afternoon or evening out. One thing we always try to do is to eat before the show at the Prelude Restaurant inside the theatre itself. After all, it is so convenient!
Now, we have always enjoyed our visits to Prelude and we know that we will always be warmly welcomed; that out table will be ready; that the food will be delicious and beautifully prepared; that the wine list will be full of tempting and exquisite bottles to suit all tastes; that the service will be very professional and gracious and that we will always enjoy the experience. Now, it will already be obvious that we are fans of Prelude. However, I am prompted to write a long-overdue review following our recent visit to the matinee of "Girl on a Train" on 8th February. As I have said earlier, we know that the food will be delicious, but on our last visit, it was beyond delicious! We have enjoyed so many meals in the Prelude before, but those presented to us on our last visit were beyond compare! The short redhead relished her chicken cacciatore and I was blown away by the superb grilled haddock (How do you get so much flavour onto one plate)?! We have enjoyed some great dishes in the past, but that was the best meal I have ever had there!
We also know that the staff are always on-point and take great care to ensure that our visits are so special, but during this last visit it seemed that the levels of professionalism, courtesy and attention to detail had been turned up to the very max! We took great pleasure in thanking Abbi, or waitress and her colleague who looked after us (sorry, young man, but we have forgotten your name) that we were (are) so grateful for making us feel very special indeed.
Well done and thank you to all the team at Prelude! See you again soon!!

Ordered on Just Eat and was missing half of our food, called the establishment 3 times before they finally answered. When they answered they were rude and started speaking in another language, they then hung up without helping us with the food they never gave us. We tried contacting them again and they never picked up. We never received the rest of our food and the food we did receive was poor quality for the prices we paid, it’s not worth eating here.
Lovely dog friendly cafe and bakery with lots of appetising pastries, cakes and bread available at the counter. Really enjoyed the mushrooms of toast and Red Thai Chicken soup (ultimate winter warmer!) and the friendly staff. Well worth a visit if you are in Norwich. Seek it out!
