Lovely friendly staff home cooked food and lovely to see home made cakes rather than shop brought based in Norwich city centre so easy to get to there even on deliveroo and just eat
Thought I'd try the Pantry as not been for a long time. Young lady behind the counter was miserable, asked if they do a bacon roll, she said yes...then proceeded to use bread. They don't do rolls any more. Bacon looked like it had been waved in front of a grill. Pot of tea.... £9.70.
Better value and quality elsewhere in Norwich...
Overpriced, tired decor and furniture. This place used to be buzzing but a shadow of its former self. Time for a rethink Jarrolds.
The sign writing in the wall says 'irresistible homemade cakes from the heart of the pantry kitchen' ...judging from the other comments on here that sounds like misrepresentation..!
1st meal from here in a while. Delivered on time, fresh, piping hot, and perfectly made, could not fault a thing. Whoever complains about this food obviously needs a new palette .
What can i say first time visiting norwich from london never seen a cafe in wilkos we thought we'd give it a try as we love morrisons breakfasts and what can i say the breakfast and bacon bap we're the most disgusting things for breakfast we'd ever had please people just don't waste your money plus my cappuccino was just froth BIG DISSAPOINTMENT!!!
Interesting experience, but not one I would repeat. Went for lunch with friends. I do like this style of food and I do eat all variations of meat. But......
I ordered the Vermicelli veg pot. Which arrived. The flavour was spicy which I expected and liked.
But I ordered the veg pot!!
Half way through eating I found clam shells and clams. Beef meat balls and what looked and tasted like slices of luncheon meat and also slices of tofu!
I was expecting this dish to be vegetarian!
Conclusion if you are vegetarian or have a seafood allergy please check and make sure they understand this!!
Came here for lunch and were surprised by the quality and value of the soup and service. Comfy setting and plenty of light from large windows. Very refreshing.
I was told about this place by a mate. They serve the best bacon and egg rolls. The bacon was local ,the roll was really fresh. Only 60p for a good mug of tea -was amazed at the value.
Will definately go back.
Used my vouchers for two 6” meals for £6.99 and a 6” sub for £2.49 on a visit with my 5 year old twins. It was their first subway visit and it was a success for them.
My daughter had the meat one with all the meat balls, and hams etc, my son had cheese and ham. I wasn’t as pleased as I got sweet corn which I’d been clear was the only salad item I didn’t want. The whole place needed a good clean and tidy and staff could be smilier.
Been going to five guys for a long time now and the burgers are always good, you have it exactly how you want it and the addition of being able to order by yourself on the machine is great so you can take the time to really think about your order. Burger as always very good, Milkshake is the best around but the fries and Cajun fries were just too salty and I'm a big fan of salt 🤣 Nice to see the prices of items creeping down too as always has been quite pricey.
