Interesting experience, but not one I would repeat. Went for lunch with friends. I do like this style of food and I do eat all variations of meat. But...... I ordered the Vermicelli veg pot. Which arrived. The flavour was spicy which I expected and liked. But I ordered the veg pot!! Half way through eating I found clam shells and clams. Beef meat balls and what looked and tasted like slices of luncheon meat and also slices of tofu! I was expecting this dish to be vegetarian! Conclusion if you are vegetarian or have a seafood allergy please check and make sure they understand this!!

I like the fact that you get freshly made noodles here and authentic Chinese dishes. A good menu with a difference all cooked to order. Try the noodle hot pots and have tuck in to dumplings with dips. A casual eatery - no need to book, just drop by for a bowl of the good stuff.

Very friendly. Not too expensive. Delicious. All 3 of us had biangbiang面 which was a spicy noodle dish. Really great fresh tastes. Go with an open mind. This is not the same chinese food you will find in a local delivery place. It's authentic and its great.

If you read the 'terrible' reviews you'll see they're written by people who have never been to China and don't know what to expect when ordering authentic Chinese food. The folks at Noodle&Pot know what they're up to. The food here is quality, cooked with care and attention. It just may not meet your expectations because some dishes are VERY different from continental food. The Biang Biang Noodles are an exceptional experience for example, but if you've never tasted Szechuan pepper before you might be in for a bit of a shock! Give it a try with and open mind and you might find yourself craving this stuff at your desk a few days from now....

We ordered our food as a take-away and what arrived was indebible. The noodles were gelatinous and cold. The food was far too salty and had no real flavour. I can only assume that the positive reviews written for this restaurant are not genuine. Really disappointing Saturday night treat!

Four of us tried Noodle & Pot for the first time 15/11/18 and we weren't disappointed. A small menu very well priced and plenty of Chinese people eating there and like us, some Westerners trying it out. Their Pot meals are piping hot and a choice of spicy or non spicy. The spicy will warm you up very quickly. The owner explained that in the damp Chinese weather this is eaten to warm you up inside and it certainly did. I had the fish pork strips with fried rice which was really tasty, again piping hot and spicy but very nice. The staff were helpful because we didn't understand some of the dishes. Whilst ordering they do draw your attention to the allengens and nuts contained in the food.

We visited on a quiet Sunday afternoon and were greeted by our waiter who was very welcoming and knowledgable. We ordered a starter of dumplings and two of the sha pots. The sha pot was huge, so tasty and filling, I had to take the rest of mine to go. Will definitely be visiting again!

A relatively new restaurant, apparently opened around August 2018. They specialise in food from Xian province in China. Some of the dishes may not appeal much to the Western palate but appear very popular with local Chinese, mainly students. However, much of the relatively moderate sized menu would still appeal to a British public raised more on Cantonese & southern Chinese dishes. I had prawn dumpling dim sum which were very nice. This was followed by the slightly spicy Singapore chicken fried rice and a side dish of cucumber and garlic - washed down with Tsingtao beer. The gentleman I spoke to (presumably the owner) was very friendly & helpful, chatting at length with me about the cuisine and the restaurant. Well worth a visit, a lovely homely style place, right next to the Maddermarket Theatre.

I've only been the once so far; received a friendly greeting and was warmly welcomed. The Chinese gentleman who seated and assisted us was very helpful; very attentive.,He told us a little about the cultural aspects of the food/area, which was interesting, and offered explanations of the dishes on the menu. The beef Raman was unlike any of the Raman dishes I've tasted before, but then it would be as this was my first Chinese Raman! It was very flavoursome, and most definitely had a kick to it! If you don't care too much for that spicy kick, ask for a toned down version!!(or extra iced water‼️‼️😜) The restaurant seemed well frequented, and it's basic feel has quite a charm. Easy to feel comfortable there. The only slight negative that I experienced was that it was a cold day and I felt quite cold inside.( The radiators were off). That said, I wear thermals most of the year so perhaps no-one else felt the chill!! If you haven't been, give it a try. They offer a well priced menu.

Ribs hot pot came piping hot. We knew it was going to be spicy hot, so we asked for the non-spicy version. Beef noodles smelt wonderful but the soup was lukewarm and beef cubes not as tender as I had hoped. We'll definitely come again to try the other dishes.

Tonight we went and got a take away from the restaurant and the smell emitting from the door makes you dream of a wonderful meal, but that dream will soon turn into a nightmare. The experience of watching the chef making the noodles is one not to be missed, but do yourself a favour and watch it online and do not pay for them in a meal. Apart from the noodles the food was stone cold after walking just 5 minutes back to the home and the taste really is unique, the chicken had bones in them and the after taste must be the real Chinese experience, this must be what the Yangtze River tastes like! The taste leaves you with a tongue and mouth that is begging to lick the carpet and yes this is a unique experience, but one to never repeat again in my life. How anyone can rate this 5 star is a mystery, the waiter struggles to understand English and got the order wrong, the food and the after taste is something I never wish to experience again, all in all don't waste your money at this place please.
