Have lived near this takeaway for years, but have only tried it recently. Been there 3 times in a month, easily the best Chinese food I've had for many years. Very friendly staff too - recommended.

The King Prawns are very very tasty and so perfectly cooked. Veggie curry also so fresh and ask for extra hot as it can be a bit mild.

Dont deliver half the order. Then claim order wasnt from them????

The food arrived barely warm / cold and very greasy and did not look very appetizing I will not use new lucky star again. DISGUSTING

We have used this restaurant for a few years now and the food has always been good, but tonight I ordered a vegetable chow mein which had a huge piece of chicken in it. As a vegetarian for over 30 years, this is incredibly off putting and disappointing. I won’t be using them again

Best quality, freshest food from a Chinese in Norwich, although I ordered English dishes from this Chinese ate just about everything so did my partner, next time ordering Chinese dishes. Tried lots of Chinese takeaway in Norwich best so far.

We had two English dishes lovely tasty sirloin steak with mushrooms tomato peas in gravy, 4 sausages in gravy with chips, gotta say everything was fresh, hats of to the chef will definitely be ordering from here again, best quality, freshest food from a excellent Chinese. Next time be ordering a Chinese from here tried a few in Norwich best so far.

Very disappointed! I might as well have ordered a plate of salt! Waste of money and will not be ordering again.

First time we've used this takeaway and I can honestly say it was the best Chinese takeaway I've had in years. Lots of Quorn options, which I've not seen at other takeaways, meant that the vegetarians were able to enjoy the usual dishes such as satay rather than just simply having vegatables or tofu.

Lucky there is not a 0 star option. Gave me the wrong spring rolls - I ordered 10 mini veg and got delivered 1 large meat which was inedible. Everything was cold. Chilli salt chips turned out to be a tiny portion of chips with 5 tiny slices of chilli (seriously no taste). Chicken satay was tough as boots.

Food is always Piping hot and delicious. Really good range of food including a Thai section which I'll order from next time. Would highly recommend them.

Absolutely rubbish now, ok the previous owners weren't sparkling clean but the food was brilliant, the new owners are cleaner but the food is tasteless, i ordered a Singapore chow mein, there was a bit of egg, 2 prawns, and a small amount of chicken, I'd have got a better meal with a pot noodle, the other dishes were just as bad, no taste and sparse with the meat. I wont be going back.

Very tasty food and in really good quantities. Nice price as well. Ordered for takeaway, they were faster than expected and the food arrived in the perfect temperature. I will repeat for sure.

Absolutely shocking waited 3 hours for my order now gotta wait 2-3 days for refund kept on ringing for over an hour half to either putting the phone down or voucemail box was full so couldnt leave a message

Delivery was 2hrs and 10 mins after order. Had to reheat the food,which then spoilt the taste.

Cena realmente fresca y sabrosa de un ajetreado para llevar. Clasificación de higiene de 5 estrellas. Pedido en la aplicación y listo exactamente 15 minutos después para cobrar. Personal amable en el frente de la casa. Comida fresca degustación y buena relación calidad-precio. Aparcar en el exterior es fácil como en la carretera principal. Entrega local solo por desgracia.

My husband called in here after an appointment this evening to get dinner on the way home. He had the duck curry and I had a king prawn dish. I have to say it was the nicest Chinese I’ve ever had. Highly recommend. Thank you for a lovely dinner.😊

Well done to the new owners. Food was fresh, edible and still hot when delivered. Unlike the tired rundown takeaway prior to the new owners. Delivery was super quick. Delivery lady polite and helpful. Will defo be ordering from here again for the next special family occassion. Can not fault the delivery service or the food.

Ordered a take out via big foodie ,have used this game out many times before with no issues ,ordered a Thai red curry ,chicken pad Thai ,spring roll and salt and chilli chips , the curry and chips were fine but the pad Thai was absolutely awful ,had a very tangy taste something like vinegar not nice at all and made my Mrs feel very unwell . We rang to complain ,we have never complained about food from here before , we were told they never get complaints ( I no of one ) and indeed are complimented on their food ,everything is cooked fresh etc but nothing that helped us out . The person said she would talk to the chef and offered us 10% off the next order which we declined and said we would not be using them again ...didn't bother them much in all honesty .

Definitely the best Chinese in Norwich. We have tried many now around Norwich and I have the say the food is incredible. Fresh vegetables and ingredients used. So Tasty! All the staff are super friendly and professional. If you want Chinese give these guys a go.

For theeeeeeeeeeeee Chinese that hits all the spots - this didn't I am afraid. Too westernised for my liking but it was warm, edible and not too greasy.

Checked the opening times before we went (on Google) said they were open but when we got there they were closed. A staff member even pulled the shutters down, I'm really not happy I normally love the food there and I was really looking forward to going. I'm so angry they need to update there opening times even there website has no opening times.

What a difference Jenny and her husband have made, to a takeaway that had lost interest. Actually there has been a decline of good Chinese takeaways, over the past few years. the freshness had gone. Well Jenny and hubby have brought, a new and excellent menu. The dishes have a freshness that has been lacking for a long time. You can belive it has been made freshly for you. I wonderfully hot on delivery, massive portions of fresh excellent tasting food. I could go i forever how impressed i am. I am sure you have got the drift by now LoL. Great Value for money for the best Chinese in Norwich.

The shop looks disgusting inside, cobwebs are still there from last year ! ! ! Paintwork is atrocious, really doesn't look good for a food place

Usually service is fast, food hot and Saturday night takeaway is good. Disappointed tonight as thai curry wasn't good. No flavour and half ingredients missing. Although the solution was quick and generous, 'free dish next time', I found tonight's meal not up to usual standard and it was £16 poorly spent. Perhaps there were other circumstances affecting them this evening. Will give benefit of the doubt but wish I'd postponed my takeaway treat.

the ingredients seemed pretty processed but they delivered promptly for £1 extra and the contents were hot. nothing to complain about, the food was satisfactory but nothing outstanding. its hard to get a good chinese the nearest one is in brundall that i know of. we paid £18 for 2 mains a large spring roll and a fancy fried rice which was fair enough, neither cheap nor expensive in my book, about the going rate.

I've ordered from New Lucky Star for almost a year now. The food is always hot, good quality and is tasty. I can highly recommend this takeaway when in Norwich.

On a couple occasions Iv had different dishes to what Iv ordered turn up but this is always sorted and a new dish is sent straight back out. (Maybe repeating orders back to the customer is the way to go?) This is not something that puts me off as I always find myself ordering again. This is now the only Chinese I order from and recommend anyone too! My favourite is the curry YUM!

Really good food from lucky star on alysham road. Never had a bad order from them ever. Food is very good and you can tell good ingredients are used. Would recommend anyone ordering chinese in norwich to try this chinese.

Love the food here always really nice but delivery times are always longer than expected and always over an hour! It was an hour and a half this evening which also means the food isn't as hot as it could be. We regularly use New Lucky Star but we've had to wait for ages on many occasions so we will probably be finding somewhere new from now on.

Order was wrong (no egg fried rice) and delivered to wrong address - neighbour rang my door to see if I had ordered a takeaway and handed it over.

The food took nearly two hours to arrive, plus two follow up calls to find out if there was a problem and it was not particularly nice when it finally did arrive.
