Fabulous coffee, selected and made with passion and expertise. He knows his stuff and produces excellent coffees both espresso and filter based, including pour over, which is rare! The coffees are very interesting and not your run of the mill beans; some are a really new experience! Always busy despite being a really tiny place - visit if you can!

We called in for lunch today and immediately were impressed with the friendly and welcoming staff. The cortado I had was out of this world and the toasted sandwich was the best I’ve had in a long time. Another feature I liked was the deli with its well stocked cheese. I will be back!

Looked very promising when I booked the table, however it was pretty average although charging a premium price. Mediocre service, which including us having to find a member staff to pay which didn't help. If you market yourself a premium establishment deliver. Lovely setting but service and food quality was only as good as a big chain such as Harvester.

Met friends here a few times over the years but found this place going down hill, Employees don't seem very happy go lucky anymore, service isn't with a smile anymore, décor and atmosphere seems dated and none existent. Tried to order food at 6.30pm but was told unless we have pre booked they cant cater for us as only order stock and cook food for pre order customers, thought this was a up and coming pub / restaurant in Holt ? Before we were regulars here with friends we was told we could use our 10% locals discount and our chestnut points, apparently depending who serves you you can either have both or one or the other , no consistency over the rules. Came back 2 weeks later and got a table for four at the front of the restaurant as the rear wasn't being used as lack of customers ( I wonder why ? ) Food took along time to come and then was warm, ask for a hot meal but second one came back the same so we declined eating it paid and left as waitress didn't seem to bother trying to provide a service. Wouldn't normally leave this kind of feedback but this place is going downhill rapidly and only seem to cater for the Greshams clientele. Wont be returning now..........

Very mixed review! Positives. Quick service. Chow mein was great. Neutral - Curry was okay but lacked a bit of flavour, peas were noticeably undercooked. Crackers were very thick & hard in places Negatives - overcharged what the menu said quite significantly, also missed an entire dish from the order & it was too far to go back for 1 meal. Sweet & sour sauce was like jelly. Chicken balls were small & were probably 70% batter 30% chicken.

Cute little coffee shop tucked away just off main high street. Delicious cakes, good coffee and very nice hot chocolate! Biscuit jar full of biscuits for dogs - very friendly all round! Toilets upstairs. I safely left my husband and our dog there whilst I browsed the lovely shops😊

Having lived in Leicester for many years before moving to Holt we’re very used to a good curry (some of the best anywhere in the country) so wasn’t expecting too much from here but Taste of India in Holt has surpassed our expectations and then some. It’s an intimate and small restaurant so sometimes hard to get a table as it’s very popular with the locals and tourists alike so I highly recommend you book in advance if you wish to visit here. The chef produces some really authentic dishes along with the traditional favourites with the Dansak worthy of a special mention (best we’ve ever had!) and will gladly spice them up if, like us, you like lots of heat! Their Tarka Dall and plain naan are also exceptional and worth a mention, we’ve never had a bad meal from here with the staff always attentive and accommodating. The only slight negative would be the decor could do with updating and the seating re-covering but you don’t go there to eat the seating do you? If you are after a great Indian meal then I would say this is the best restaurant around, visited many others in both Sheringham and Cromer and they just don’t compare. I highly recommend The Taste Of India if you are after a good curry.

Had a meal in the Kings Head, there was a ‘specials menu’. A choice of We were the only ones in there . No curry No mash. Finished main course to be told no desert as kitchen is closed this was at 8.28pm supposed to be serving until 9pm ??? The barmaid kindly said she would do it for us. No wonder there wasn’t anyone in there, we will not be going back. Very disappointed.

We visited in the summer and returned while we were on a short break to Cromer. It was as wonderful as we remembered, staff are attentive, food was excellent and we were full to the brim when we left having had a fantastic three courses. Thank you for a lovely evening.

This is the third 2 magpies bakery cafe we have been too. Both Blakeney and Wells are brilliant. The one at Holt was poor , floor needed sweeping, we were told 3 times they were understaffed. The food selection was very poor, no scones at all. We had to wait to be served, 2 other couples near us waited for ages to be served. I went to pay and had to wait ages. This is not the normal standard we expected from the 2 magpies, will not go to the Holt cafe again. Will carry on with the other two
