Been here twice upon the reccomendation of a banking friend, who frequents this venue. A few of us retired Bankers meet every couple of months and in July we have requested a few others for a table of 6, for our next lunchtime meeting. Staff and the venue, reminds me of how pubs used to be..lots of regulars and excellent generally home cooked type food. The size of the portions..as I said to them last time, means you hardly get the opportunity to sample their deserts..also don't eat the previous night or morning if you want to sample a three course..because you won't maker it past two! Selection of home cooked pies in a dish..like Mum used to make! Excellent quality fayre..lovely staff..only a pity that it's not a five minute away from where I live in Hertfordshire

We’d been walking in the woods for two hours to get to this pub, although we hadn’t booked I can admit We struggled to find the lunch menu with sandwiches, we only knew it existed as someone else had a sandwich. The only cask was off, nonetheless we ordered other beers we didn’t want and some food. Despite having already ordered the bartender told us we couldn’t have food as the manager had said no more food orders for 30 mins and he hadn’t put it though the till yet I wouldn’t of minded had we not already ordered (and it was only a couple of sandwiches not main meals) when I asked, are we not okay we ordered earlier before the block off, the manager overheard and responded not to me, but the bartender saying, look tell him no, I’d only asked once.It was very rude and disappointing

We chose the 3 courses for £50 deal and my goodness, it was absolutely beautiful, the pastry cheese filled starters and dips were so good! Then on to our main, I had the chicken sheesh and my partner the beef, the meat was cooked to perfection, and the salad, well, we really diddnt know where to start, there was so much colour and vibrancy! Everything from start to finish was beautiful. I also pre warned it was my partners birthday, and they came out with our desert, singing happy birthday, with a delicious chocolate desert with a firework on! The only negative I would say, was the price of the drinks, they were on the dearer side, I’d say, centre of London prices, which really bumped our bill up, which was a little disappointing, and a bit of a shock once we got the bill, but everything else was truly amazing.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and food was great. Just one little tip, keep an eye on the salad bar as certain things needed replenishing. Other than that, excellent service 👍🏽

Fantastic food, nice and friendly environment. I can’t recommend a better Chinese in this town, if you are visiting the Swan is definitely a must visit.

I added garlic dippers to my order instead of chicken strips by mistake which was my fault but then had called instantly once made the order to change it, I had to call 5 times before anyone answered, I was then told they couldn’t change it because they had already put it in the oven so I accepted this, once the order had arrived I realised they had got the order wrong & in actual fact had not even sent us garlic dippers at all so they could have changed them in the first place for chicken strips as I had ordered a deal bundle so would not have changed the cost, at this point I called the branch & was told they would now send chicken strips but was very rude & just hung up the phone, I then received a call 10 minutes later saying they now can’t send the chicken strips because it was not on my order, I then tried to explain it’s a deal on there website & they was also a option so it would not make a difference they became very argumentative & at this point felt they was just being awkward because they did not want to rectify there mistake, would not recommend using this branch especially don’t deal with them personally as are rude & hard to speak to, they could all take a class on customer service in my opinion being a business owner myself I would not have anyone of them work for my company

Had a mixed Shish the chicken was dry and lamb was just lumps of fat. Very expensive for what you get. Although the staff were very good. This was a very large family event and all 8 tables were charged extortionate service fee and it total that came to £280 an absolute joke when we only had 2 servers. It took them over an hour for us to all pay as there was items on the bills that we didn’t get and unfortunately we decided just to pay and get out. But most certainly will not be returning.

El calor en el interior de la cafetería ha mejorado mucho, pero el personal es todavía frío. Apenas era una palabra cuando me dieron a mi pedido en el mostrador, y nada cuando ella recoge mi plato, ni cuando fue entregado. Budín de carne lo que yo tenía era muy mediocre, pero el café es muy limpio y bien ventilado. El café estaba caliente y cremosa.

The quality exceeded our expectations, and the service was outstanding. Everything was handled professionally and efficiently. Food was prompt and delicious. I highly recommend Plume of Feathers to anyone looking for top-notch service. Will definitely be coming back!

Edit. Returned from our walk 2 hrs later and went from 1* to 5*. Great service on the return. Waited for a good five minutes at the bar, no one there to serve. Rang the little bell on the counter to no avail. Walked out again
