Aura Grill And Bar in Epping Forest

Had a mixed Shish the chicken was dry and lamb was just lumps of fat. Very expensive for what you get. Although the staff were very good. This was a very large family event and all 8 tables were charged extortionate service fee and it total that came to £280 an absolute joke when we only had 2 servers. It took them over an hour for us to all pay as there was items on the bills that we didn’t get and unfortunately we decided just to pay and get out. But most certainly will not be returning.

Have visited Aura many times for special occasions but won’t be returning. On your instagram is states roast dinners half price throughout the year This is not the case when we queried our full price meal (which wasn’t really managed very well )as we were just left sitting there wondering if someone was going to address our querie. We were told if you had rung up you would have been told that the offer is not valid on Father’s Day . ‘ Funny that it was last year ! My daughter made the booking online What a joke change your instagram page then that’s not a valid explanation and make it clear ITS NOT THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. Spoke to the manager eventually who said he can’t change the bill now but offered us a desert. We declined as we were full. Feel ripped off Aura The way we’ve been treated is not acceptable and perhaps you would like to respond to my email sent 2 days ago.

Took my family for lunch. Was welcomed by Harry and the experience we got was the best I've ever had, from taking the order to making sure everything was ok? Food was so tasty, portions was great and overall was amazing!! Will defo be going back and would defo recommend, if you like 5 star dining and service this is the place to be. Can't wait to go back x

I came to Aura with some friends on the weekend, and what a great time it was. The atmosphere in this restaurant did not disappoint, with a belly dancer while you’re dining and a bar/DJ for after your meal. The food was amazing, causing none of our plates to go back empty. I will definitely be recommending it to my friends and will be coming back soon!

There aren’t enough words to describe how incredible Aura is and how friendly the staff are. The food is incredible and the staff are highly attentive. The venues entertainment blows my mind every time. It’s a must go to on a night and any occasion! Will be back down to see everyone again soon

Me and my friends had a great experience last night when went to Aura for dinner and the belly dance show. Food was great and the show amazing! Staff was incredibly attentive. I would only mention that the belly dance show should be longer than 10 minutes.

I rarely write reviews but feel compelled to write something after my poor experience last night at Aura where I visited with my partner and daughter for Valentines evening. Now whilst the service was fine and attentive and the food ok-ish the bill at the end of the evening certainly was not. Like many of their clients last night I was surprised to find that they had a set menu for three courses at £75 each (even children) for Valentine's evening. Now for £75 I had Calamari, a mixed shish kebab and a side order of aspargus and some mango sorbet....that is not a £75 meal. For a set menu of £75 would be expecting something rather more special. In fact the set menu was extremely limited and unimpressive. Including drinks (of which several wines and cocktails were missing off the menu) the bill came to a whopping £398!!! People on the table opposite were equally as astonished as I was. Think about that for a moment ....two adults and a child for essentially a couple of kebabs and a kids chicken burger and a few drinks. That is completely our of whack for Loughton High Street.....this is not Sexy Fish on Berkeley Square, or one of Tom Kerridge's restaurants in the West End, this is Turkish/Med style restaurant on Loughton High Street. Aura Bar & Grill is suffering from the same problem that many Essex establishments suffer from....pretending to be something that they are not and charging prices like they some kind of exclusive michelin starred restaurant on par with the Fat Duck in Bray. They deliver neither the quality of food or service to even think about charging these types of prices. You do not pay £398 for a meal on Loughton High Street - you pay that sort of money in the West End and you get the service and quality of food to match it. Suffice to say I will never return to be ripped off for nearly £400 for a ok-ish kebab and a few drinks....and I recommend you save yourself some money by not going either!

Just returned from thud awesome place! Went for a friend's birthday...28 of us!! Beautiful decor, we waited upstairs in the lounge area before our table was ready, enjoying drinks and good soulful music. We were seated downstairs (there are 2 dining levels). On the whole, food was brought out fairly quickly consideringwe were such a large group. Order the Banging Shrimps...warm and delisshhhh!! Served similar to a prawn cocktail but much tastier! For main it was the sea bass, it comes on a very small bed of green veg so I'd recommend a side. We had a side order of fat chips. Again, all beautifully cooked and very tasty. Staff were excellent, always smiling (despite a few difficult to please people in our party) The staff handled the moaners with professionalism. Most of us had a wicked time, thank you to your wonderful team. I'd definitely come back. Downstairs is quite big and all tables were occupied so you're obviously doing something right. Keep it up. Greeted with a smile on entering Aura Restaurant Loughton. Very nice ambience with good colours of light and decor. Starters of hummus olives and scallops, couldn’t fault it, it was perfect. Unfortunately, our mains were inedible, I had the black cod, costing £45, a tiny triangle shape and so salty… my husband had the sea bass again too salty. The sweet potato fries were overcooked… for the price, they should make sure everything is cooked to perfection and not send out food that’s inedible. So will not be going back!

Terrible Terrible Service, DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT if you don’t want to be stressed!! From start the finish , my experience with this place was HORRIBLE. I attended this restaurant on a Saturday for my birthday with a group of 22. The restaurant had split my guests across the restaurant. Upon clarification , apparently they are too busy and serve over 200 people so table cannot be together even without asking. Staff members INCLUDING the host needs to learn some manners and customer service training. EXTREMELY RUDE! After having to overly explain myself the seating was finally sorted. They had given us a very stressed WAITER for the table of 22 who was also serving other tables across the room. SERVER was shouting at myself and guests , basically everything short of a good customer service. Very rude servers constantly trying to patronise, justify and pacify. They then said we should pay service charge for the most disgraceful service And said because it’s mandatory!!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE if you do not want to ruin your day. I couldn’t even take one single picture on my big day. Truly terrible.

Really good customer service. The owner spoke to us and was very welcoming. Food was delicious and tasty. We got a variety of starters and mains. Everything was absolutely delicious and fresh. Will be back to visit!

I had an amazing time at Aura last night. It was the best dining experience I have had in a very long time. The food was amazing and the cocktails were a hit. We were served by Harry and he did a great job in making sure we were comfortable and he had a smile throughout the night. After dinner, we went upstairs for more cocktails and the dj was fantastic, I will definitely come back SOON and I can't wait.

This restaurant is the most unprofessional place I've experienced whilst at the dinner and afterwards when contacting customer services. The dinner itself was terrible, we arrived at 8.30pm and weren't seated til 10pm, manager was extremely rude to the birthday girl to the point she was in tears, waiters kept messing up our orders and had to fix it multiple times. We 100% took off that service charge as they treated us terribly. Once we left we realised they didn't take off our deposit on our final bill. They currently owe use £160 and I have been trying to contact them to give me my money this past week, they are utterly terrible responding and don't give a toss about you so don't bother at all. Don't bother calling or emailing them because they either won't answer or will act daft on the phone. Im still waiting for our money back and an apology! Take your money elsewhere.

What an incredible experience! The food, service and all round vibe was exceptional We were looked after from the moment we walked in … and through to the end of our night. The venue was absolutely packed … they are so well setup that each table I saw was incredibly looked after. Syed the owner took the time to come and speak to me and my wife and nothing was too much to ask. If you haven’t experienced this place… you need to! I celebrated my birthday last Friday with a group of friends. We all of us had an amazing time. The food is amazing, the service is excellent, they were all great, friendly and fast to bring our food at the same time after the order. There is a lovely entertainment with belly dancers throughout the dinner and they have a nice room upstairs with deejay for dancing. Everyone was so very friendly and kind. We absolutely loved the place and the service. The place is beautiful, positive and great vibes. I can’t recommend it enough, I am definitely going to be back.

Booked a roast dinner based off of reviews I had seen on YouTube. The YouTube videos shows freshly prepared spuds, yorkshires etc and a lamb shank. The triple meat I got was two frozen roast potatoes, old veg, one frozen Yorkshire pudding, small tasteless bit of lamb and half a fatty slice of beef. Service was pretty crap too. Food spilt on the table was not cleaned between starters and mains. The chicken wing starter was nice and so was the chicken sheesh. The roast dinner was slightly worse than a Toby carvery. Very disappointed and a waste long journey

We went to Aura for our anniversary dinner. We wanted to go somewhere local but also somewhere nice. We had a wonderful evening at Aura. Food was delicious, drinks were great but above all of this, the service we received from Harry, was exceptional. An extremely polite, well mannered, young man, who made sure we were comfortable and payed attention to every detail… our glasses were never empty, our table was always clean, even when I took my napkin, Harry quickly replaced a serviette under my cutlery. Thank you Harry for going above and beyond your job. We truly appreciate all you did for us. Thank you.
