Second visit , lunch time, not very busy.

We have eaten many times and had numerous takeaways, always been amazing. Visited on a Thursday night with family ordered our starters and mains, food was lovely. At 9.15pm the waitress advised us that the bar was closing so if we wanted more drinks we needed to order before it closed, 5 minutes later we asked to order desserts only to be told the kitchen had closed, it would have been courteous if we had been told this VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Me and wife had a lovely meal this afternoon, 1st time here, won't be our last, food and service was wonderful

Couldnt express the service and the quality of food with words. A cosy and beautifully set restaurant with delicious Mediterranean dishes. The staff are friendly, attentive and caring. Would absolutely recommend.

I’ve been meaning to try Forest Kitchen for a while now, and it did not disappoint. Chicken Shish is delicious, tender and succulent. A generous sized portion too, very filling. The sauces that come with it are very tasty too, as is the salad and bread, and good value. Looking forward to trying more from the menu in the future. Would recommend.

We have been going here for long time having take aways like once a week we ordered few week ago and they got our order wrong and we told them the food wasn’t as good, we called up today to order and they told us we are banned for them basically getting our order wrong and telling them food wasn’t as good honestly can’t believe it never had that ever or heard any restaurant ever doing that nice to know you look after your customers that come to you and order so much awful customer service

Ordered from here several times and the food is hit and miss, ordered on this occasion and they got the order wrong called them upto inform them and also state the food consistency is inconsistent to which the staff did not take the criticism kindly as its the mother of owner who cooks, called to place an order again to be told, because I had complained about the food I was now Banned from the restaurant and placing any orders. Never heard a restaurant unable to take criticism before, ludicrous I know but there loss, as there are many other Turkish restaurants in Epping and surrounding.

Visited for the first time today. Delicious food, lovely staff and great atmosphere. Couldn't ask for more really!

The food was nice and the service was good also. The only letdown was that the place was much smaller and not as nice as it looked like online. It looked more posh and larger online. The menu was also not as big as online

Have dined several times and there is consistency in the quality of the food and service. Great all round restaurant in the heart of Epping. The care and quality is evident.

A friend and I went here last Sunday evening. The service was quick and efficient, and the food very good. However, at 9.20pm while we were enjoying our desserts, one of the staff decided it was time to start cleaning up, so she began mopping the floor. Chemicals were also being used as part of the cleaning process and my friend, who suffers with asthma, pointed it out. The restaurant was not due to close for another 40 minutes and we felt that it was extremely rude to start cleaning while customers were still eating. We had intended ordering coffee but decided against it as it was as if they were hinting for us to leave. Cleaning should not be carried out until all customers have left. Despite the food being excellent, it has put us off going back.

Had an absolutely wonderful lunch here, the food was stunning and they had a great lunch deal on. Lots of vegan options too for my friend, the staff couldn’t have been more friendly and welcoming. Plus the decor is stunning, this place is a hidden gem. Definitely visiting again, thank you so much.

What a fantastic addition to Epping’s culinary options Forest Kitchen has been. Fantastic quality, service and competitive pricing, it’s arguably the best dining experience currently available in the town. We often use them for takeaway and on special occasions will eat in. Their lamb is fantastic but all dishes thus far have been tasty, fresh and well presented. Given that Epping now has four or five options you could describe as Mediterranean, the fact Forest Kitchen is always lively of an evening is a testament to its quality.

Absolutely wonderful restaurant. Fabulous authentic Mediterranean cuisine. Extensive and very varied menu choices. Really nice staff and brilliant service. Really helpful re my dietary restrictions even though there wasn’t a specific menu for gluten free etc. Lovely young lady serving us, really attentive and couldn’t do enough for us, nothing too much trouble. Clean and tidy restaurant.

Really fantastic Turkish restaurant on Epping High Street. We took advantage of the great value lunch deal (£13 for x2 courses), and we were blown away by how great the food was. My chicken shish was cooked perfectly, and the taramasalata was to die for. Our waitress was incredibly helpful and explained all the dishes, and we loved the Turkish tea at the end. We also enjoyed the decor and the disco / 70s pop music. All in all, a really great local restaurant to support and visit whenever you want a beautifully cooked meal. We are already thinking about when we can next come back.

We went there for the first time tonight, we were celebrating a family birthday, the staff were great, we couldn’t fault the food or the service, would highly recommend and will go back, there was a variety of food on offer for everyone.

What a lovely evening we had at the Forest Kitchen. It was my husband's birthday and the staff made us feel very welcome, he even got a slice of chocolate cake and birthday wish which was a lovely surprise! The food and drink was amazing and I would definitely recommend to friends and family. Came with a few friends for dinner. The restaurant had a nice buzz, even on a Monday, and we liked the decor. Staff were attentive and friendly. All of the food was delicious and portions were good. I chose my favourite dish - chicken shish, and it was excellent! My friends all enjoyed their food and drinks too. We will certainly be returning and I would recommend this lovely little restaurant :)

Popped in here for a meal & was not disappointed. The Forest doesn’t look like much from the outside, but on the inside there was friendly service & OMG the food was amazing. We ordered the meal for 2/3 & there was just so much that we took a doggie bag home & it tasted just as good a couple of days later.

Very few other diners for lunch on Sunday. Excellent food , well presented. With a glass of wine each and coffees plus 2 hot starters of prawns and falafel, mains of wonderful lamb shisk and aubergine veggie dish, suclac dessert for one, for £76. Highly recommend a visit but did not experience a full house !

Fantastic lunch spot. We came here on the off chance and then came back three days later. The lunch menu is fantastic value, the staff were extremely helpful. I almost didn't want to review as I'm worried I may not get a table. But such a great place with fresh food at a reasonable price. Can't wait to go back

We've just moved into Epping and are working our way through all the restaurants.we like the look of. First visit here and was looking forward to a nice lunch as the Forest Kitchen has received many great reviews. I'm going to be kind here as I may have caught them on a bad day. I think there must have been a problem in the kitchen as we ordered two coffees but the service was painfully slow. We were not in a hurry so it didn't matter but it took ages for my wife's coffee to. arrive and I thought they had totally forgotten about mine but it finally arrived about twenty minutes later. There was no one else in the restaurant. Our orders weren't taken until some time later so maybe the ovens weren't working properly or they just weren't ready. We both ordered Chicken shish with yoghurt, but although my wife's dish was piping hot, her chicken arrived stone cold.. They were very apologetic and reheated the food.. Maybe it was our menu choice but it was very stodgy, bland and unappetising and we could not finish. I have to say the waiter was very good, but he was fighting a losing battle and on the whole it was hugely disappointing.

I cannot fault this place. The food was so tasty, very reasonably priced and the staff lovely. Even on a Monday evening the atmosphere was just right.

I must say, I was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional quality of the food and the outstanding customer service at this restaurant. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction and actively sought feedback from us. Amazing cocktails 🍹 The food was simply exceptional. Each dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. My personal favorite was the Lamb chops cooked in charcoal, which was absolutely excellent. The menu also offers mouthwatering desserts such as Baklava, Rice pudding, and Pistachio cake, which we had the pleasure of trying. The Pistachio cake and rice pudding were both delectable. Without a doubt, I highly recommend this restaurant. The combination of excellent food, superb service, and delightful ambiance make it a must-visit establishment.

Epping has a wide choice when it comes to venues for lunch, but Forest Kitchen should be in your top 3. I had lunch here with a dear friend on July 8. There is plenty of choice on the menu and this proves difficult when trying to narrow down your choice as everything is so tempting. The food was delicious, we both enjoyed our starters and mains immensely. A slight change to one of the menu items I chose was accommodated without any issue. My friend ordered the chicken sote and we were advised that this may take a little longer to arrive, this was fine for us as we had a lot to catch up on and also highlighted that it was cooked fresh. When it arrived it did not disappoint. The portion was generous and my friend was not able to finish it and the remainder was packed so she could take home. A nice touch. There is a also a wide variety of drink options. The service is very good and attentive I note that they do a lunch special menu too, not sure if that is just weekdays, I did not look closely at it. Overall I would recommend this venue, Food excellent Service excellent Definitely will be returning. Thank you

This was our first time at this restaurant, we were looking for somewhere for a family dinner to celebrate our anniversary and having looked at the reviews we thought we’d give Forest Kitchen a try. I must say, it was a great decision, from the minute we walked in the to the moment we left everything was excellent. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much and everything we asked for (more and more chilli sauce😂) was taken care of straight away. The food was excellent, one of the best Turkish restaurants we have been to, portion sizes were great and everything tasted fantastic. Even though they were quite busy, everything came out in good time and we were not left sitting waiting for ages as in some establishments. Overall the experience was excellent, we will definitely be back, highly recommended.

With my friends we opted to the deal £49 , choice of cold starters , various hot dishes from the grill as mains & wine or soft drinks! So much food I took some home in a doggy bag. Forest kitchen is our go to restaurant in Epping, we love absolutely everything about this place. The food, the atmosphere and the service are just wonderful. If I could rate it 6 stars I would!

We had the sharing meal deal for 3/4 (enough for 4) and it was very good value for money. £80 for 3 cold starters and a meat platter to share. A bottle of wine included in that price as well. We shared two desserts between 4 of us and came to under £30 each including service charge. For a Saturday night in Epping you will not beat that price. The food was also very nice and all the meat was tender! We will definitely be back. Waitresses were very nice as well.

Excellent food and service. The food was very, very tasty, with great presentation. I had the Lamb chops in the charcoal, and it was excellent. For they have Baklava, Rice pudding, Pistachio cake, and others. We ate the Pistachio cake and rice pudding. I strongly recommend this restaurant. 👌

We had a takeaway and the food was absolutely amazing! The lamb and chicken shish was soft tender and flavoursome, same with the lamb ribs . The food was all hot and we even ordered two kids meal which were larger than anticipated … 10 out of 10 ! 😋

Oh wow, very much impressed with their quality of food as well as their customer service. The staff wanted to know our feedback and ensured we were taken care of well. The Turkish red wine was medium bodied and won my approval. The facilities are super clean and I very much appreciate them taking care of it. The food is home cooked and is pretty delicious. The portion sizes are generous. Look nowhere if you feel like a hearty food.

This place is just brilliant. Staff, atmosphere, music and the food are perfect, once you have been you will keep going back. Almost scared to write a review just in case it gets too popular and I can't get a table.

Friends had recommended the Forest Kitchen saying it was really good food so we went for lunch on Monday and we were not disappointed. Shared a few starters which was prefect for lunch and the food was delicious. The owners and staff were friendly and we will definitely be back for an evening meal soon. Highly recommend a visit.

We visited yesterday and had a lovely evening. The service was really great and the sharing platters we ordered were very large and tasty. Slightly stingy on the bread compared to other places who have continued to bring bread as long as you ask for it, but still nice. Would probably return at some point.
