Haven’t been to Sheesh since pre covid and I have to say, it was better than I remembered! Lovely, friendly staff really helpful with allergy information and the food was delicious. Hot, beautifully prepared and very tender chicken sheesh. Hopefully next time we’ll have room for dessert!

I absolutely love this place, first time was my best mates 50th, since then couple more 50th birthdays, and recently my daughter 30th birthday with her boyfriend, wanted to treat them both to some thing special, making memories, and both big foodies, the building, decor is stunning, the staff always very kind, polite, friendly, welcoming, and the food is just unbelievable, melt in mouth, delicious 😋 every time I go, I'm always impressed, and to share this with my family is amazing 👏🏼 well done, excited to come back again soon ❤️

So I gave this review 3 stars because I really do want to try and be fair with this review. Read on if you want an honest and fair review when dining as a couple at Sheesh Chigwell. To begin, we arrived dead on the time of our table reservation and was told the table wasn't ready and to take a seat and have a drink. That was fine as the outdoor seating area is heated, however I don't know how pleasant this would be during the winter months. The member of security staff at the front door was very polite and greeted us in a professional manner referring to us both as "Sir" & "Madame" - nice. Our table finally became available around 20 minutes past our reservation time. We ventured inside and were taken to the back where it was slightly more quiet, as many of the guests that evening (being as though it was a Saturday night) were quite rowdy. We sat down and ordered a bottle of wine which was £50 (£12.75 at Morrisons - we used Google) and then ordered our food. The lobster spaghetti starter was delicious and my wife's halloumi was cooked to perfection. No complaints on the starter front. The main course ... well let's just say the monkfish ain't worth another £50 considering it was served still swimming in water and what I would describe as "1 skewers worth' of fish. The rest of the plate was made up of salad... loads and loads of salad. I also ordered. side of truffle cheesy chips which had a sprinkling of cheese on it and were not great for £34. My wife did not enjoy her chicken shish and when I tasted it, I had to agree it wasn't great. Dessert was on the house thanks to our anniversary which was a nice touch. Service was alright, the waiting staff were pleasant enough but I didn't feel the need to tip as they didn't really "heighten our experience" so to speak or do anything that you wouldn't expect... plus, let's have it right - they are charging £50 for a bottle of wine which you can get for just over a tenner, so it's not like they're not already earning a few quid. The atmosphere was also alright, bit dark in there but the ambience was nice. Overall, it was all a bit "meh" considering the hype on social media, but I suppose that's just it .. the hype is what keeps people coming. Not the food or the service. The longer the likes of Joey Essex keeps rocking up and telling everyone on Instagram about it, the longer they will charge you £34 for a side of chips. We won't be returning simply because it's massively overpriced for what it is and there are other restaurants of a similar calibre elsewhere in Essex which are more fairly priced and offer a wider range of selection on the menu and better food in general.

Been here many Times before. We celebrated my Partners Birthday at Sheesh a couple of weeks ago. Service, Communication through the whole process and the event was outstanding. The food was brilliant as usual. Big shout out to Claire for the help and to Yola for her brilliant service throughout the night. Thank you ever so much.

The food is genuinely excellent, the restaurant service is also at a very high level. The drink service upon arrival needs improvement and also the table allocation (which was thankfully rectified for us very quickly). The food is expensive, but the quality of the produce and the execution from the chefs justifies it. The waiters are A1. Thank you Umut and the team.

I recently visited Sheesh, and I was thoroughly impressed. The management was incredibly welcoming, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere from the moment I arrived. The staff was exceptional, with one particular member, Brooklyn, providing service that was truly 10/10. The overall experience was fantastic, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and outstanding service.

Came here after wanting to for a while . I been to a lot of restaurants so I am aware of what’s good or not . Food is mid nothing worth the hype . Local Turkish restaurants have better quality at half the price . The decor is nice and staff are somewhat nice . However for 40 plus pound for a basic dish I wont be back .

I visited Shessh Chigwell for the first time with friends I had heard so much about the restaurant and was excited for my first visit From the minute we arrived The car park valet was so lovely , the beautiful gardens and entrance was breath taking We were greeted at the door by a lovely lady who directed us to the upstairs bar for a drink before we sat as we had arrived early for our table. The first floor bar is just gorgeous so many wonderful things to look at. Once Sat at the table our waiter was really attentive. We explained it was our first visit and he advised us on the menu with our being pushy. Drinks were served promptly, the cocktails are delicious ! Our starters arrived quickly. We had the Calamari, shrimp, halloumi , mushrooms and Esme salad all served with warm homemade bread. Everything was superb. Our glasses were filled without asking with the wine we had chosen. The ambience In the restaurant was warm friendly and fun. Everyone was happy with a real mixture of ages and cultures. Our main courses arrived after our table had been cleared of out starter plates. Wow we had a mixture of mains from Steak to the chicken Sheesh and one friend had the prawn spaghetti The portions are so generous together with a beautiful salad, the dressing was so tasty. Although we were so full we could not resist the desserts. We shared 3 between us. The Dream Cakes, Strawberries & Cream and the Cheesecake All three were super delicious. After our meal we went back upstairs to the cocktail bar where a DJ was now playing We had the best time The staff here are just lovely so polite and welcoming. We are just ordinary people who were made to feel very special so thank you to you all Yes it’s expensive but you get what you pay for !!! This is not just a restaurant it’s a destination for a full entire night of pure joy Will def be back

Me and my partner visited Sheesh Restaurant in Chigwell few days ago, to celebrate my birthday. Without a doubt if you are looking to have the best birthday this is the place to visit! Honestly the vibes that place gives you as soon as you walk in, is incredible. The food was so delicious and everything tasted so fresh. Definitely try their desserts when you go, my favourite was “Strawberries with biscuit & Amaretto cream” which was mouthwatering. Everything came on time. The staff were honestly so friendly and constantly checking if we were happy and if we needed anything else, something that I really appreciate. So to conclude I had an amazing day and definitely will be visiting again. Thank you guys!!!

I highly recommend Sheesh Chigwell, I recently visited for a midweek lunch with friends , the food was amazing , it did not disappoint! I ordered the chicken sheesh which was absolutely delicious, I’m not into desserts but their donuts are absolutely divine. The service was fantastic, staff were extremely helpful and understanding with our dietary requirements and special requests. The ambience is superb and the decor has to be seen to be believed!

Amazing experience at sheesh Chigwell, Food delicious,drinks amazing service superb.we did go upstairs for drinks 🥤 and Music is amazing for anyone like to go out for meal and have drinks and music afterwards this is the first and only place in Essex that you can find,strongly recommend Lots of places for parking and secure with security every thing is just perfect amazing views with fire pits all to make ambient beautiful.

Came to Sheesh recently (Jan 2024) as a table of 6. We'd seen lots of different food reviews for the restaurant all over social media so thought we'd come and see what all the hype was about. As a group we've eaten in some pretty special places in various locations, so coming to Sheesh was definitely something we all all wanted to try, and we travelled over an hour each way to the restaurant. Our bill came to £900ish (with a £90ish service charge included) we ordered six starters, six mains, a few sides and a few desserts, with a birthday surprise dessert included. The wine starts from £50 a bottle and we did also have a few bottles of wine, the rest was water and soft drinks. The prices were what we were expecting. We went there knowing roughly what we all wanted to eat having gone over the menu ahead of time so we knew it was going to be expensive. But this is what we do as a group, we enjoy eating out, trying new places and enjoying food together. Was the food nice? Yes it was nice, But that's It, it was just nice. The presentation was great and the service was good, but In my honest opinion It's over priced and over-hyped. You're paying for the experience and theatre of the place, which is what we were expecting. It's a beautiful location, the building itself, if you appreciate that kind of thing is stunning. The aesthetic and decor is plush and grand, with a chilled atmosphere. On the whole, the evening was great because we were with our friends celebrating a birthday so we all had a lovely time, and it is what you make it. The atmosphere at the restaurant was lovely, The staff were really friendly and very helpful. My only annoyance was being sat right next to the ladies toilets! , which I guess was just bad luck, there's a table there and someone was going to be sat there, it just happened to be us on this occasion. The waiting staff were also too quick to clear our plates for my liking, It was almost like being in an all You can eat Chinese buffet, when they whip your plate from under you, to the point where I had to ask them to stop, as people at our table were physically still eating and they were clearing our plates, which we found very rude actually. Having said that I do understand there's time constraints for the staff, it's a very busy place (it was packed!) and they have 2 seatings, so we were politely kicked off of our table exactly 2 hours after we sat down, so the next guests could be seated. It wasn't a negative experience by any means, and this isn't a negative review, it's just a neutral review, has it put me off from recommending Sheesh it to others, no, because although the food didn't blow me away, i appreciated the experience.

Racist, do not visit at any cost unless you are a celebrity or of non BAME background. Food was terrible, just a hype over the brand. Only gave 1 star because no option to give 0.

I have been a sheesh chigwell customer for a few times for work purposes and had no problem but i have never seen the foods quality go down as much as it has today. The shrimps were undercooked and raw, the mushrooms were watery, the cream wasnt cooked right. I could only taste garlic in the spagetti and it was raw. The manager was very aggresive and racist she told me to speak english as it is my second language and laughed in my face. They made us pay even though we never ate anything, they took off one shrimp spagetti as it was raw off the bill. I will never return to this resturant again and i will tell all my other friends that visit this resturant to never go.

There is the best restaurant in all Essex simply. Food delicious service amazing, From the first arrival from a fantastic manager and the all experience it was fantastic. Very well organised from booking greeting food drinks service what more do you want. Strongly recommended ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Food was average, the rice was very disappointing and tasteless, massively over priced and considering the waiter had the audacity to choose our desserts whilst we were still looking at the menu, £425 for 2, I will not be returning. I would also suggest they turn the heating on. Very much a social media hype and not about the food.

The restaurant inside and outside is quite stunning but sadly the experience of dining here is a huge let down. Apart from being grossly over priced the quality of customer care and service was quite poor. There is no flexibility with choice and the food is on par with your average high street Turkish Restaurant. Meat and salad. All side orders were extra over double what they should be. We had plans to take the extended family for a new year meal in January but we've rescheduled to another local restaurant where we know we'll get good value for a meal.

We were taken to our seats, and it was so dark, all black, with one tea light on the table. We were given the menus again, black with gold writing that you couldn't see, so we had to turn the lights on our phones to read. We were not the only ones. as people at the tables around us were doing the same. The waiter didn't seem to care, as he could see we were having issues, but he didn't offer any help. The floor behind us was being mopped constantly, which left a horrible smell of bleach right by our table, very off-putting. When I mentioned this to our waiter again, he didn't seem to care. When he took our orders, he was looking around the restaurant more than us when we were asking questions. I had the overpriced Wagu burger and asked for it to be cooked well done, not pink. As it was so dark, you couldn't see how it was cooked until I got to the middle, when I could see it was raw. The chunky chips were not chunky chips but ragged-cut potatoes that were brought to the table 5 minutes before everything else. It was so cold by the time our food came. The burger made me unwell through the night, and also this morning. This is why I asked for it to be cooked well done.  We were not asked once how the food was by our waiter.  My friend had monkfish with salad, or should I say a ton of salad and some monkfish. I was unaware of the changes to the restaurant's menu and how limiting it was. I had visited the restaurant several times before the changes, which is why we chose to come again. We enjoy dining out at great restaurants, and the food standard for the price just doesn't match.  We paid £165 for for two people having a one-course meal and one drink each. I understand now you are not a restaurant that cares about the food, but the celebrities and social media influencers who are not genuine customers.

Had an awful night! When we sat down, the waiter said there's going to be an issue. When asked what the issue was, he didn't answer. Brought over some wine and said there's going to be a problem, he couldn't get round the table! Why put a table there then!! We were made to feel an inconvenience. Over priced for what you get. Then went upstairs and the owners dad was filming girls!!!! When asked to stop and delete what he had filmed, he said no and burged one of girls. Absolutely disgusting! The girls were then asked to leave. Never again will we be setting foot back in this place.

Fourth time we’ve visited as a couple. We usually visit Thu-Sat night but opted for Sunday evening. No atmosphere, service lacking and we felt very rushed, only downstairs open where all guests were cramped together. Food only good this time. By far not the best we’ve had! Safe to say the worst visit we’ve had here which is disappointing for the prices!

Not sure I will visit this place again, food was ok, staff could have done better, music was loud and there was a group of 6 who made so much noise that made it feel like a pub meal hours before a derby. For the amount of money paid, one should definitely get more value

Firstly they were rushing us off the table, despite spending about £550, initially the bill was £620 but my friend checked and found they had put £70 worth of drinks on our bill which we didn’t even have. Went to the toilet, came back out and our half eaten deserts were taken and the table was being cleaned up, couldn't even give us the time to finish our food. Music was also so loud we couldn't hear each other speak and had to shout the whole night. Even if you only spent £50 you shouldn’t be rushed off the table, but I thought for £550 they would’ve let us have the table a bit longer.Won’t be rushing back, or recommending. I’ve had much better experiences at other local Turkish restaurants for less than half the price.Better service at the local chippy.

Really gone down hill, awful service, food was ok, truffle chips at £25?!! Table was stuck in the corner next to toilets and waiter wasn’t great! New layout of restaurant doesn’t work and means there is no where to sit and have drinks certainly not until after 10.30. Overall vibe was bad, really not the same as it used to be. Got hassled by not very friendly clientele whilst waiting for a cab too - Won’t be going back.
