Ordered a prawn bhuna as takeaway and it was tasteless and watery, husbands order was also tasteless and thin. Paid £14 for each and was a rip off

Ordered a set meal for 3, was really tasty, good balance of vegetables ( where as most takeaway bulk out rice & noodle dishes with lots of onion) and meat. Good value too. Will definitely visit here again next time we are in Ely.

Lovely range of lunch snacks and amazing cakes. Very reasonable prices too. Nice location in the Market Square so great place for people watching

Food isn’t very tasty , ordered a burger which was tiny , was about half the size of a usual 1/4 . Chips are dry and tasteless Glasses for drinks are dirty We was overcharged by £4 too Won’t return

My mum & I wanted a bite to eat for lunch & at first tried the cafe on the Ben’s Yard site but found there were no free tables so we went into the restaurant to have a drink & small bite to eat. Upon entering, my mum made a comment about sitting by the window, the bald man with glasses looked over to the tables by the window (one was free) & then proceeded to lead us to a table in the centre of the room telling us, “I think you’ll be more comfortable here”. We said no, I think we’d like to sit by the window actually! Both ordered a Raspberry fizz but were told that they didn’t have it so we ordered non alcoholic Bellinis which arrived after a long wait but were very nice. We tried to order the ravioli but were told they also didn’t have that so we ordered the tart small plate & mussels. Both the bread that came with the mussels & the tart looked overcooked & I had to send the bread back as it was burnt in places & too well done for me. The bald man said he’d bring me a spoon for the mussels sauce but never did, I had to ask someone else for one. I needn’t have bothered though as the sauce was VERY salty, to the point it was not nice & I stopped eating it. We had a long wait for the bill & the server asked me directly if I’d like to leave a tip (not particularly great etiquette) I said no. Very overpriced for underwhelming food. And the collective customer service experience was poor, we won’t be returning.

I had a bit of time to kill before my train left so I decided to get a drink whilst I waited. On platform 1 of Ely station is Locoespresso so I ordered a green tea which is something I drink regularly. The young lady who served me was very polite and friendly and was quick to serve me. I get the impression she does not drink green tea herself as she asked me if I would like milk or sugar in my tea. Does anyone else have these in their green tea? I may be in a minority?!?

Bar owners are lovely. Security are incompetent (possibly new) and break a variety of SIA regulations. Venue would be a tidy 4.5 otherwise.

The portion was generous and the fish was freshly fried with crispy batter - thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was very nice and polite as well. I will definitely visit again!

Excellent food great service and highly recommended for a Sunday lunch. Plenty of choices on the menu and good value for money.

We only stayed one night, but the room was fabulous. It was clean and cozy, and the breakfast was amazing. Mike, you and your team were amazing. Thank you.

Evening meal before Elvis at the cathedral service was first class food was fantastic would definitely recommend

Monday lunch using the £13.95 set menu. Delicious Lasagna followed by a very nice Tiramisu. Only criticism was the Lasagna was incredibly hot. But a very enjoyable experience.

Very slow service, 15 minutes wait to be served. Only one member of staff serving. The three customers before me all ordered coffees, I felt sorry for those wanting behind me when I ordered four coffees. However I will visit again, coffee was very good.
