Costa Coffee in East Cambridgeshire

Lovely Costa in Tesco’s on the outskirts of Ely. Always friendly helpful people and always clean and inviting. Good drinks too.

Me and my wife just returned from Italy and are making our way back to Leeds. We stopped here as we waited for a trains transfer. We were served by Ellie and the service was excellent, and even though she was serving on her own and it was busy, she served with a smile and struck up conversation with every visitor! Great people skills and a definite credit to the company!

Worst iced latte ever. Tasteless, watery and with huge chunks of ice instead of crushed ice. I needed something to chill me down, not done watery slop. I wouldn't mind but this was best part of a fiver. Disgusting.

Used to be OK when they used M&S food but their own sausage rolls are dreadful, best avoided.

Young Jack served me. He's a very professional and extremely friendly young man. A real credit to Costa.

Can't even make a latte a simple latte and two top it if off iv had two take my Salted caramel latte back cos thay can't even make sort if out new stuff need ASAP

Is this what you call a Decaff cappachino with no chocolate sprinkels And my takeaway cup is half filled And my decaff cuppachino tasest bitter and no up to costa standards. Note to costa head office and branch. And the costa manager needs to read my feed back on google reviewes.

Hadn't come into this Costa in a while (complete changeover of staff), came into today just for a coffee and a sandwich for breakfast, the lady serving me (is apparently maternity cover manager) was absolutely lovely! We need people like her in locations like this. Management in cities like Cambridge are so focused on turnover that you don't truly get to feel welcome in chains like this - the manager at this Ely Tesco branch was not like that. This lady was swift with my order, offered all options and extras available (didn't partake this time, have a bus to catch) without feeling like they were being thrown out at you, asked how my morning was going and was generally a welcoming and lovely individual. Keep her in locations like this! She's a gem that the company can't afford to lose! Thanks again Chrissie! You absolutely made my day!

Unlucky to come here, coffee making young guy so slow and served 4 customers in line behind me before. Ordered tosted sandwich that got cold waiting for my coffee to be made. Sandwich wasn't fresh had dryied sides. All was nearly £8 not worth queeing for 10min. I will avoid.

Getting very annoyed with this branch. Always shuts when it feels like it, very dirty round the counter and floors. Staff do their best but the best staff have left and gone to Ely Leisure World.

This use to be one of the best but due to poor decision and lack of support for staff that cared about there job the morale of the staff is at an all time low and has driven out all the staff that care and unable to recruit new staff has now made it one of the worst for a good experience

Overly priced mediocre coffee, you can make nicer coffee at home for 10% of the cost

Blonde chick with fake lashes served her friends at the back of the queue out of turn, and seemed to not charge them for the food or drinks. 👍

Absolutely brilliant selection of coffees along with cold drinks on offer. A superb selection of toasties along with bacon baps and cakes if you don't fancy a panini for lunch. Very clean store with a wide choice of inside seating. The staff are so friendly who strike up a chat while you wait for your coffees to be made by brilliant batistas

After my car breaking down and waiting in the cafe even after hours i can't thank Coran enough for letting me stay until recovery came nearly 5hrs later. Thank you so much as it's freezing outside!!

Great place, very polite and friendly staff. Especially Luke (Ely Costa ). Luke is a very pleasant young man and l hope he does well within the company. Its not as easy job and yet all the staff are cheerful and even said goodbye to us! We definitely will go back. Hot chocolate with cream and white chocolate cake was amazing !

Great coffee and food, although some items are on the more expensive side

Surprisingly clean for a Costa, drinks are always the same standard and I was impressed that the person that served me asked me to sign in for test and trace. That takes bravery but is the right thing to do.

I hate any Costa coffee and have never been to this one.

Can't fault the staff here they are wonderful. The service is great and speedy even though it gets very busy at times. The staff remember my coffee order as i pop in several times a week after work. The coffee is always great. The staff are always helpful and often offer to carry my tray when my son was little. When he was sick from coughing too much they were so kind and made no fuss. They brought him some water and toast. Both my kids love coming in for a treat with me.

I have never seen such awful tea bags. They will remain in landfill for years and years to come. But tea tasted OK and staff were polite

Coffee always good. Staff friendly and attentive.

First time in I was shocked at the state of the cup and saucer and the tea pot wish I had taken a picture absolutely filthy put me off drinking it but there was a lot of people waiting and the girl was busy.

The refurbishment looks great, and I always like the coffee here. However, the menu could do with a bit of a refresh too. It's all tasty, but I'm getting bored of seeing the same old things.

It's convenient. Could be slightly cleaner and maybe even a bit quieter (a couple of partitions might break up the noise a bit) but it is what it is.

That manger Dan guy is a edgy fella, not to sure about his employees though especially that one called jasmine she smells.

This is a much the same as other Costa outlets located in stores. Usual selection of drinks and snacks available at an over inflated price. My only criticism of this Costa is it's not so easy to negotiate your way through the seating area if you are a wheelchair user. Tables and chairs make the going a bit tough. This being located in a Tesco store benefits from a large free level car park with dedicated disabled and child parking areas.

Standard chain coffee shop. My favourite of the big boys. You know what you are getting. I prefer trying individual shops but the quality varies so.

Very popular, busy slow to clear tables

Service is good and fast and the people are nice. The seats are a little dirty and kind of falling apart but overall it's a nice pit stop.

Got there @ 5.40 with son for hot snack and found the blind was down on the fridge . Asked for what we wanted thinking it was to keep food cool and was abruptly told "No it coz we are closing at 6" Well even so we still had 20 mins . When I asked why 6 she said " coz we work hard boss said we can shut early " I'm not impressed and won't be going back . Think your staff could do with some training. Ely costa in Tesco

Average coffee for a high price. Much prefer cafe Nero that uses Italian coffee and not some horrible American coffee. Some of the food is nice, but wouldn't rush back there for the coffee, which surely should be the best product in a coffee shop? But isn't.

Bloody expensive for a cup of black coffee .... I don't know why people drink there.

Just to let you know the person who served me was man but on the ticket was Jasmine he never did my costa card and charged me less for what I had a salmon sand and coffee he charged for egg sand and cappachino coffee £5.10 and the sand should have been £3.90

One of the best Costa cafes. Staff know how to make a flat white. Good, consistent drinks.
