Best chippy in the Burwell area.

Refused us service and were quite hostile (💀💀💀) unless we made cash payment, despite saying that they have a card machine and that they should accept all cards except Amex (🛩). Food was not prepared fresh and was clearly sat there for a while [⏰️⏳️] before we arrived. Food was ok in the end after a long wait, but I would recommend just going on an app to order from somewhere else or going to another place if possible.

Delicious fish and chips. The batter on the fish was very crispy, while the fish itself was flakey. The portion for a large chips was enough to feed two people. £16.80 for two regular cods (both of which seemed large!) and a large portion of chips (so £8.40 per person). I came at 6pm on a Friday and the service was very quick. I look forward to going back!

Great village chippy. Regular cod is huge and very tasty. Plenty of chips , friendly atmosphere , staff cheerful. Pizza,s are really yummy. Good prices

As 'out of towners' we had warm welcome, a bit of a laugh and some very nice chips. I'd be sure to pop in if I found myself that way again.

Excellent service at Charley's Chippy. The food is delicious, especially the kebab that I had at lunch time. It was great. Thank you Charley's chippy. The food is highly recommended. I would say the best chip shop in Cambridgeshire.

Popped in for some food after being recommended by friends, but have to say I won't be returning, chicken was very dry, tough and the coating was very soggy the chips where the same. The gentleman behind the fryer was ok with me but was rude to the lady on the till. I've worked in retail 25 plus years and learnt very quickly that you should treat your staff how you wish to be treated, shame the gentleman doesn't treat his staff with respect.

Went there today 7/6/23 just passing to get food as not from area .And asked if he accepted card payment he repeatedly asked me if I had cash ,then finally answered my question to card payment and said yes but its £16 minimum which I then turned and left.Very rude …More

My hubby had 2 Battered Sausages , they were Rock Hard and Chips, 3rd time the same...I had Cod and Chips, delicious

Ordered chips, but they weren't very nice. Will not be visiting again.

I placed a order for collection, upon arrival food was not ready and I had to wait 15-20 minutes which wasn’t the end of the world but still disappointing. At home we noticed one portion of chips was missing which isn’t great since the main reason of ordering because it’s a chippy. The food was not great either this time , we have had the food before and it was good but the last two times the standards have dropped for sure. Unfortunately we won’t be visiting again

Good food, generous servings, what you expect from a local chippy.

Food was soooooo greasy and tbh it all tasted as such. battered burger was floppy and just dropping with grease, pie was so bad can't explain the taste. Genuinely made us feel sick. They did offer our money back tho.
