The best restaurants in Market Cambridge East of England

We stopped here due to recommendations and gf options. Unfortunately this place is NOT suitable for coeliacs, with only one pan operating and a small kitchen space unsuitable for avoiding cross contamination. For the two in the party who did order, the kinder bueno and lotus crepes were good, but not outstanding. For the price, along with two milkshakes (average again) and two coffees (average and help yourself to sugars??) it wasn’t great and certainly would somewhere else unless they upped their game.

Cozy, nice food, friendly, efficient staff, my order was ready in just minutes. I appreciate a lot the vegan breakfast option.

Sunday lunch Very poor service food serviced lukewarm and and the people I was with didn't get their food at the same time.

We went to a taster session of a new menu here as they was relaunching the new menu and cocktails etc... I can say the food was amazing so we had sharers of bitezise meals off the menu, starters mains and deserts. Absolutely amazing, the place was lovely and quaint. The new head chef came to every table who attended the session to ask for feedback and to make sure we was okay, the food is locally sourced. Just absolutely amazing. The owners were around making sure everyone was okay but ultimately left it to the staff who was attentive and welcoming and knew what they were doing! Will be back.

All vegan options were out of stock, no fruit, bad service. Just don’t come here!

The food here is delicious. My partner had a piece of hot salmon tart which he loved, and I had a sourdough sandwich but was tempted by the arancini. The cakes were also very tasty. It’s busy and for good reason, so if you’re passing and there’s space you should definitely pop in.

Really nice place, very welcoming. Plenty of tables, everything seemed well stocked. Also very reasonably priced. Had a few games of English pool, no issues with the table which is a huge plus! Will return for sure.

Lovely building and decor, let down by mediocre food. Lacking in flavour, served like warm and portion size of the fries was very small.

The food is great, and the facilities (toilet) was outstandingly clean, well organized, with a wash basin. I'm in a long drive from London to Birmingham, ND could not have chosen a better pitstop. Well done!

They need more bartenders for a busy night. Waited 30min for cocktails...

Pros: - nice atmosphere - good location - got seated with 11 people in the bar area (not the restaurant) on a Saturday without booking Cons: - slow service behind bar - there were a lot of staff around the bar/kitchen area but only 1 serving the bar area so it took ages to order - the bar staff didn't know what a mocha was and said they didn't do them. I later realised they did but had to wait again for another staff member to serve me (again, despite lots of staff being behind the bar area). It took ages to make and there was no apology. - one of the nachos that we ordered didn't arrive. I spoke to the barman and he just told me all the food had come out. When I explained again that it had not, he just looked at me blankly and said "hmm it's confusing". After then speaking to the manager, he checked and did go over to the kitchen and told me they were on the way. They did finally arrive after the rest of the table had eaten but no apology! Not impressed with the service at all. Overall very frustrating and I spent half the time at the bar trying to sort out drink then food!
