Lovely building and decor, let down by mediocre food. Lacking in flavour, served like warm and portion size of the fries was very small.

Historical, cosy pub with a nice atmosphere. Tasty food, but a bit overpriced for the portion size of my plant burger and chips. My niece's fish and chips was a generous portion however, so maybe mine was bad luck. The photo shows the chips before I ate any. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

We visited here last weekend. So much history really enjoyed having a drink while looking at the graffiti on the walls and ceilings from pilots from the past and probably present day. My only grumble is drink prices I had a pint of bitter my wife had one cup of tea not a pot full just one cup that came to over £10. Which I have to say I've never paid that amount before for one tea and a pint. Would I recommend visiting probably yes, would I go back again sorry no .

We had 2 roast beef and all was good except for the oversized non cooked hispy cabbage. It took up half the dinner plate and was enedable. Both of us had to take off and put on a spare plate. The cook needs to braise the cabbage in stock, taken out cooled to keep the colour then charred up when served. We did not complain as it was our anniversary. The staff were great and very efficient.

I visited this bar purely as I was looking for one of the oldest in Cambridge, This and another, but this has more prominence for me. I went in via the Beer Garden (tucked away down an alley). The RAF Bar is lovely. Small, but the decoration is immense. Every wall is littered with signings, and notes from service men and women. Plus signs and badges. There is so much history in that one room. So much so, that I wish i had stayed in there for my drink rather than going outside. For reference, I had had a Lucky Saint bottle, which was £4.50. Bit pricey for a small zero beer, but nice place. Plenty of zero options, tho none alas on draft. It's a big place. Lots of rooms, dark wood, history etc. Well worth a visit. Just be prepared for it to be busy, and a bit pricey.... But then, it's Cambridge!

A lovely old pub with a lot of history. The Ciabattas we had with bacon and chicken were underwhelming and with a portion of triple cooked chips at well over £12 overpriced, especially as there were about 7 chips of mixed sizes. I had a lovely day trip in Cambridge with my family. I read so many lovely reviews of the Eagle pub and told my family it was a must to have our lunch/dinner there. We ordered the eagle burger, the vintage cheddar burger, Korean chicken burger, sharing chicken plater x2 and 6 chicken wings with added chips and drinks. I'm not a picky person but all of our food was dry to a crisp. All the meat were over cooked. I am certain that all of our meals was pre cooked and reheated to order. We were all very disappointed. Yes I did get the blame from my family for strongly suggesting to go there. We payed about £150 for our food and drinks but can say the food was very disappointing. I wanted to write a review as it cost a lot to eat out these days and it is very very disappointing to get bad quality food in return. I wish we went to a different pub.

He also moved the menus from our table without even asking if we had finished looking. And the guy who cleared our table also started clearing while we were still sitting, also without asking if we had finished (we still had chips on the plates and liquid left in our cups). An urban legend pub in Cambridge. The famous Watson & Crick celebrated their DNA findings in 1953. They proves that the DNA molecule exists in the form of a three-dimensional double helix. During the World War II, airman from the Royal Air Force (RAF) stationed on the eastern part of England, enjoy their pint here. The left marks on the pub’s ceiling with the cigarette’s lighters. The pub is quite classic, serving beverages and food. However it is a “touristy” place so expect waiting list to be seated. The price are like any “famous” pubs, a bit higher than average.
