Robin Hood in Cambridge

We love this pub, this has been our go-to place since we moved to Cambridge. The Chicken Katsu Curry is our favourite, but tend to enjoy everything we try. The servers are all lovely, our little one really enjoys interacting with Nikki, because she always gets a wave or smile back. The photo doesn't give the food justice, it looks much better in reality.

Very good food. Excellent ambience. Service can be made better, the attitude of bearer that handled our order could mede better. Overall must visit.

Typical English pub, great place, good food, charming, service and very friendly waiters. We were in a motorhome and they allowed us to sleep in their parking lot. Super recommended.

Had a lovely meal at the Robin Hood today, Emma was lovely and smiling as we walked in and looked after us and anything we needed! Highly recommend for food and service with a happy smile!

Had dinner with a friend, check the menu against the real serving dish. The grilled chicken is so dry and not fresh like a left over, the fried chicken was like re-fried, the corn cob- soaked, there is no rocket salad instead replaced by crest leaves well cooked/very soggy, the presentation - seems the cook was in a very bad mood. The server was polite, and the manager offered a discount. The thing is we went there to eat a decent food not for a discount. He offered to replaced a different one, but having made a complaint made you think, how the cook will treat our new order?

Went here as we had travelled quite far for a hospital appointment and this was about 10 minutes drive from the hospital, and what a pleasant surprise, the pub inside is lovely our server Max was great, friendly and attentive! The food was amazing and great value for money! Will definitely visit again!

Whilst it has been a few years since my last visit, the quality of service still remains. The food was well cooked and presented with lots of choices on the menu. Staff (max) was very attentive. Blue light card holders do get a discount but do check out terms and conditions as on some occasions it is not accepted I.e bank holidays

Having decided on an impromptu lunch we both chose the 3 course meal deal which was really good value. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious. Staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient. Decided to come to the Robin hood at the last minuet. Got a very pleasant greeting from Chloe who showed us to our table. A nice window seat with a red hot radiator. A very pleasant and friendly waitress Keshyia took our order. The food wad delicious as usual and service met expectations, look forward to coming again.

Great Service by Sofia and Kesh very friendly, Great Steaks. Tried the tomahawk steak and the fillet both was cook perfectly medium.

We had a very disappointing meal here tonight. The food took ages to arrive and was barely warm when it did. Starter of cold king prawns, with cold parsley butter. My husband ordered a rare sirloin steak, which arrived cold and well done. He did not eat it. I had a gluten free chicken skewer, which was also over done and barely warm. I chose rice, which came dry - without the yogurt sauce, but included a hair. Would not recommend. The front of house staff were lovely though.

Had a great meal, had the sirloin steak and strawberry cheesecake…beautifully cooked. Along with the great meal the service by Chloe was tops. She made us very welcome and will certainly visit again.

My wife and I had a lovely meal at the Robin Hood at Cherry Hinton. The food was very tasty and reasonably priced. Darcia was brilliant. Very friendly and made our visit very enjoyable.

What a cosy pub! I came here for a new years drink with my family and had often passed by and decided to pop in for a drink to celebrate with my family- cosy, warm and very friendly!! The bar was so nice and a good selection of drinks. Will be back!

Took my partner and her mum who has only just moved here for for her first ever Sunday roast a couple of weeks back. The food was really good for a chain's standard and we were very well looked after by Sofia despite her knee being in a brace! Considering you get what you pay for this is great value for money. (Apologies for almost setting off the alarm by trying to leave to the garden through a wrong door!)

We dined here for a works Xmas outing. Was decent. Will definitely be using this place more in 2025

3 of us had booked a table for New Years day. We were seated withing minutes of arrival. The servers were very prompt and informative of the items on the menu. I had the hand battered cod, so did my father, my brother had the Ultimate Burger (I think), we all enjoyed them. Everything was perfect, thank you very much. Oh, and Kesh was our server. Very professional and polite.

We went on a Friday evening. Hadn't booked a table and they were able to fit us in. Camembert sharer for starters and a burger each for the main. Both starter and main were excellent and the burgers were very tasty. Good choice of beer, excellent service and good, reasonable prices. Thank you 👍🍔👍

Went for lunch with family and pets. Tables are a little close together and people not respectful of space. And the fact one dog anxious!!

Absolutely avoid if you have any dietary requirements. Pre-ordered our meals five days prior to our booking with two people ordering solo burgers, meaning no bread on the burgers. Upon arrival of their meals, we were informed they no longer did these burgers and they were removed from the menu. This restaurant had our contact details but did not inform us and just assumed that we would have different meals than what was ordered. When we received the bill, they had added items at extra cost that we did not agree to when we ordered and asked for these to be removed from the bill. The manager came over to advise these were added to make the meals as similar as possible to the original order. When we advised that nobody made us aware that the menu had changed despite only ordering a few days ago, we were shrugged off. The main concern here was the replacement burgers had come with bread buns and again no one checked if this was okay. We queried what would’ve happened if the people who had ordered this had ordered the meal due to the fact that they were gluten-free or suffered with coeliac disease. At this point, the manager gave a very patronising and sarcastic “aw are you okay” to the person who had ordered the burger. I find it absolutely shocking that a manager of a restaurant would be so blasé over dietary requirements and people raising a genuine concern for others who may have fell poorly over their assumptions. I would therefore not recommend anybody who has dietary requirements to eat here as the manager clearly does not take this seriously, so one can only assume none of the staff do. Greeneking should take a very close look at this restaurant, and take steps before someone falls seriously ill.

Loved it. Gorgeous decoration and atmosphere, beautiful lighting, locals and visitors all very friendly, but it was the staff and service that really made the difference. Loved it.

Char Grilled Menu I am doing reviews of different Cambridge pubs recently. So the ratings will be adjusted over time. Not every UK pub has char grilled menu. The char grilled flavoured burger tasted lovely. Smoky flavoured. The fries and onion rings were delivered hot. The macaroni and beef achieved a good balance. Impressed that the beef was not too salty, or would make the macaroni taste bland. The beef had good texture and flavour, not chewy, dry or hard. The salad looked colourful and tasted fresh. The garlic bread was not too hard, good news if you do not have strong teeth. In terms of quality and portion size, the prices of everything are more than reasonable. The environment is nice, clean and cosy. The tables are not too close to each other. Enough female toilets. Too bad the champion cup sundae was not in the menu anymore. A massive dessert that provokes everyone's childish side. Hopefully it will return one day.

Best grilled salmon salad I have ever had. It was even better than the picture on the menu. A delicious healthy option. I will definitely be coming back for another.

Being going for Sunday roast here on and off for a while, always returning because was good value, nice staff etc... today disappointed price was up slightly(like everything) but quality was no where near as good. Trio of roasts, 3 tiny roast potatoes you ever did see which were lukewarm as were the carrots....vegetables always came in separate dish, now on plate but lots of peas(cheapest veg out there) 2 pieces of warm carrot, one piece of broccoli, which mine wasn't even cooked, raw! That's was it veg wise, we'd paid extra for cauliflower cheese. I did raise issue when asked how food was and was offered for it to be microwaved... but there was 4 of us so that would have taken too long and lots of eating different times or waiting or meals getting muddled. Such a shame as we've returned many times with these friends because roast was so good. Not our opinion today. Once I'd declined microwave nothing else was said or done..guess we need to find another place for roast now!

My wife and I had dinner at this pub on Friday evening. Nice, welcoming and clean place with the classic atmosphere of an English pub. The restaurant manager was very kind, the food was excellent, we ordered two variations of salmon dishes and the waitress' service was exemplary. Price very in line with my expectations.

Me and my wife went here for a Sunday roast last Sunday. The food was amazing, as was the waitress who was called Grace she was absolutely amazing.

I have frequented the Robin Hood and can not give it a bad review. The staff are pleasant friendly talkative. The selection from the menu has a varied and large selection. The chouce of beverages hot and cold, are Excellent. The food is cooked to a very high standard. Look forward to my next visit

Went out with family for Sunday lunch, the food was cooked really well and tasted lovely. My 5 year old niece was with us and Sofia was so patient and lovely with her. Would come again

We had katsu chicken and the hot honey chicken Burger and both were delicious! All the staff were very efficient and friendly . We had a lovely evening and would recommend.

Disappointed. Three of us dined here. We enjoyed the starters. Took 45/50 minutes to receive our mains. I had the 8oz sirloin, which was over cooked, cold and chewy, unable to be eaten. Other two meals were mixed grill, which my daughter did enjoy and my partner had chicken fajitas, mainly onion. Server was lovely and refunded my meal from the bill.

Max was amazing, witty and charming. Food was lovely and came to us quickly. Everyone one was attentive. Thank you. Just a shame that the fajitas and salmon were not available.

Stopped over for the night in the campervan. Great stopover, good food and beer, open for breakfast as well. Bus stop right outside for Cambridge. Will definitely return.

Had a lovely lunch here with my friend. We took quite a time to choose, but our server, Max, was very patient and polite, with a good sense of humour. I chose the gammon from the lunch menu. It was beautifully cooked, and tasty. My friend had the salmon from the main menu, which she said was delicious. We both had the hot chocolate fudge cake and ice-cream for dessert. It was tasty but not very hot; so the ice-cream didn't go all "melty" over the top.

The Char-grilled lamb kofta, the hunter’s chicken and the sticky toffee & bourbon pudding were so good. Our sever Max was very attentive and a joy to have as our server.

Nice service and place but food was really, really poor. Worst fish and chips I've ever tried and fish was bland, rubbery and tasteless. Really poor.

Great service, quick and what you'd expect from a Green King pub

Best Sunday roast I have had since I moved to the UK. Priced fairly, service impeccable and food very tasty and well done. I have been very surprised by how soft and tasty the turkey was. Also the Yorkshire pudding was worth its name.

Friendly and happy staff, and enough of them to ensure they didn't have to rush around. Great Sunday roast and a good selection of beers.

Had a lovely breakfast this morning. Served by Ellis. He was very good made sure had everything could need and checked in to make sure all was OK. Will definitely go back. Has a good size carpark just have to put in your registration on the pads very easy to do.

I absolutely love this grill. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the food was absolutely delicious. As I have food intolerances, I have to be really careful, but the lovely staff went above and beyond by double-checking everything. I chose a light, dry Italian wine and was very happy with my choice. Thank you very much, Robin Hood - I will definitely be back!

It was a Woow.. as they mentioned on their display board… two meal for the price of one and 2 beers at the price of one… Well, the meal was good…. Was just about that good not like what you think about the juicy as you expect on a steak… The staff was tyly cccccxxñccc It was a great experience… Must try… highly recommend…

Had a really enjoyable meal after our shopping in Cambridge. They had a fantastic beer and burger offer on for £12 and the meals where amazing! Our waitress Sammi was great, very attentive, polite, friendly and explained the offer well. I would definitely recommend eating here. Second time we have visited and have left very satisfied and with full stomachs each time.
