I was surprised by a jazz band on the Saturday before Easter. They play jazz standards by notes..they are all trained musicians. Saxophonist extraordinaire.

Good jazz, good choice of beers.

Just amazing! So friendly, great food at very fair prices and brilliant selection of drinks. Staff were just super.

Fancying some food we could all share as we watched the rugby we decided to go for the 5 for £32 dishes from social menu. Firstly they tried to charge me £42 and then when the food arrived what a disappointment! The smallest portions of food for over £30….3 chunks of Brie, 6 tiny prawns on a lettuce leaf, 3 slices of chorizo, tiny bites of calamari, and 4 burnt halloumi fries. We complained but nothing was done and they were totally unbothered. Appalling!!

Very disappointed Burger no fries included for the price seems crazy Quiche bar snack you had cold nothing with it £6 not good and had to peel off the tin. Chilli fries over priced as had more sour crème than chips Been loads before but this was not good at all. Especially for £70 Will not return unfortunately

Great sweet potato chips, good burgers, quality food usually, good portion too. The only downside is that this is not a family friendly pub, no children allowed, not even for a Sunday lunch.

Went there for a jazz night...Good atmosphere, good customer service and a wonderful band...will go again if there is a jazz night😉

Fantastic pub I've been going for years such a same John's leaving. It's the best place for real ales and the tiger ale is the best .I would definitely recommend it

Had a private party here and everything was amazing! The food was delicious, the service wonderful, and a great range of drinks. The quiches especially were great. Will be back soon.

Love this place, whenever we visit Cambridge we have to pop in. There is a fantastic range of beers and the food is very good. Can highly recommend the dirty fries with brisket

Good wheelchair access. Although the toilet should not be in the restaurant/bar area, it is very embarrassing 😳 Good service, food looked lovely, although did not sample.

I am much improving my previous review here (which was about three stars overall). Is this place under a new management? Their chips were super crispy, and the burger was a very nice one. Keep this up! Please! A huge improvement since my last visit a couple of years ago. Minuses are minor, I really don't want onion rings on my plate unless asked for. And please, give me more greens. A small salad or something. Or at least an option for a salad.

Ordered some coffee and chilled. Tried to play piano at the corner however some customers, who were playing cards, made complaints to the waitress about the music and we have to stop. Typical god of pubs and I personally do not like them.

Absolutely great service between the owner and Sharon. Great to see the boss behind the bar instead of a desk and as much as Sharon is new, she's a fantastic bartender\server and will go a long way (bartending experience here) :)

I've had a good experience every time I've been. It's kept clean, and the atmosphere has always been very relaxed. I haven't been on extremely busy nights so I can't speak to those however.

We had a fantastic meal this lunch time. The nachos were the best I have had in a long time. The burger was amazing, be prepared for a lot of meat. The cheesy garlic bread was also amazing. Overall a great meal for a great price. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back to taste more of the menu👍🏼☺️

Stunning and amazing food. Exceeded my expectations being an in town pub opposite the ARU University. Top notch food for very reasonable prices. All very freshly cooked. We had a loaded nacho starter sharer, Cheesy garlic bread, goats cheese and beetroot salad and a pulled pork burger with fries and drink for under £40. The nachos and the cheesy garlic bread were the best ever.

Cosy bar on a cold Monday evening. People playing games, having meetings, eating and chatting over a pint. Lots of nooks and crannies, a relaxing place.

My friends and I stopped off at this gem of a pub on our march from the station to the Cambridge United v Charlton match. Great beers and lovely food. John the landlord is very friendly and maintains very high standards although he let us in.

Incredible burger! I stopped in here for a bite to eat and a drink after a long day. The staff are so friendly, the menu is great, and my burger was great! The best thing is that it didn’t break the bank! I will definitely be back- might even just become my regular spot.

We saw this place as we walked from our Premier Inn and decided to give it a try. What a find! A lovely old fashioned pub atmosphere with reasonable prices. On second visit we ate dinner which was excellent. Not too loud inside that you couldn’t talk and very relaxed and friendly. Super staff. Would highly recommend.

We were walking back to our hotel when we spotted the welcoming lights from this little, out of the way, pub. The decor and atmosphere was charming. The outdoor area was well heated without being stifling. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I shall be going again.

This is a very nice pub. The selection of drinks is varied and the quality is impeccable. But what makes this place is the staff - they are a very friendly and helpful bunch. One of the very best pubs in Cambridge and a bit of a hidden gem.

I have come here alone for lunch a few times when shopping. The Landlord, John, is a larger than life lovely genuine Fella with a pub he should be really proud of. Honestly, the food here is great! I am constantly drawn to have their Loaded fries and today I was not disappointed. Big John himself took my order and doubled as a graceful waitress :) I tried a new one 'Brisky Business!'...which was the most delicious brisket with crispy onions on top of beautifully cooked chips. I asked for the 'runny cheese to be subbed for normal melted cheese as that can be very rich and it was the best plate of food I've ever had there...just amazing. This place does simple food cooked really really well...all I hear while there are people thanking Big John for a fab meal. Pay them a visit, you won't be disappointed!

Visited this pub before going to a football match at Cambridge United. The pub is nicely decorated and has a lovely feel about it. I had a pizza which was huge and my son had sausage and mash which was in a giant Yorkshire pudding. This was washed done with a few pints of real ale. Great food and beer, with friendly service, what’s not to like.

Amazing hearty food. Had the jerk southern fried chicken burger and added bacon and cheese. It was sooooo delicious I can't move. My boyfriend built his own burger and went crazy creative, he looks insanely happy now. Staff is lovely and fast. Very nice and chilled atmosphere. Highly recommend!

I have just visited for my second time. My first visit was around 6 months ago, we stumbled across you, stopped for drinks and loved the atmosphere. My husband and I found you again, the homing device is working well. This time we had food too. I'm recently diagnosed coeliac, this was my first time eating out. I asked what was gluten free on the menu, to be told what did I want. Along with the explanation as to how every meal could be adapted, within reason. The gentleman then apologised as the GF pizza bases are smaller than non gf bases. I had the gf brie and bacon sandwich lovely, as was the coleslaw. My husband had the tram dog and was very happy. The bar maid was delightful and then a bar man who had worked there for a number of years took over and was warm and friendly. The regular customers who I have met during my visits have also added to my pleasant experience.

Organised my birthday drinks last night with a group of friends. The staffs were very accommodating. We were surprised by a live jazz music - they were so sweet and played happy birthday for me. The drinks were incredible (try Blue Moon!) and the chips and pizza were to die for! After such memorable night, I will definitely come back again.

Lights on, doors locked and nothing visible inside at 13.00 on a Saturday when the local University had its open day! Absolutely ridiculous especially signs outside advertised open from 12 and food available on all day

Parece que reemplazaron al chef hace un tiempo, o simplemente reformularon el menú, de cualquier manera, ¡estoy muy contento! Tuve una gran fiesta de cumpleaños aquí! El personal fue increíble y servicial. La comida fue excelente. Nos llamaron el día antes de la fiesta varias veces para alinearnos con los tipos de comida que quisiéramos, etc. También nos ayudaron a preparar la sala colgando carteles de cumpleaños y globos. With different ciders and a variety of ales/beers, The Tram Depot with its outdoor seating included is a great place to go. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is sound.

Good staff that are welcoming and are good at their job. The pub has a great aesthetic and feels welcoming. The food is very good, especially the fish and chips special I had. The chips are crunchy and fluffy and aren't bland or dry, with the fish and chips batter was delicious. Plenty of different drinks, especially if you like your ale. 5/5

We called here to get a lunch meal after the Cambs half marathon, a lot of tables were empty and then told they were fully booked, this was 1.45 pm, the staff rude and not helpful at all, another family of six said the same to me as we went out of the door, not reservations on the tables to be seen. wont bother going here again

Este pub no permite menores de 18 s en las horas típicas para la familia (es decir, antes de las 7 pm). Fui a unirme a mi amigo para su cumpleaños con mi hijo pequeño y nos dijeron que teníamos que irnos. Esta es la primera vez que me dicen que no podía llevar a mi hijo a un restaurante o pub en Cambridge, por lo que fue muy impactante.

Sandwich fue decepcionante y esperó media hora mientras la comida de todos los demás estaba en la mesa. La ensalada no era fresca y se había marchitado por estar en una tina confinada. Una mujer mayor con cabello rubio era grosera y extremadamente desdeñosa, ofreció un reembolso pero se alejó antes de que pudiera responder. Location sempre bella ed in stile British, ma sia il servizio sia la qualità del cibo lasciavano un po' a desiderare. Abbiamo aspettato più di mezz'ora per due hamburger (ah, e sopresa, le patatine abbiamo scoperto solo al momento del conto che non fossero incluse nel prezzo dell'hamburger, come in ogni altro pub!).

The staff are all very friendly and the food is very good. The Tram Stop doesn't look much from outside and the view isn't exactly 'nice' but having said that don't let that put you off. The food makes up for what it lacks in scenery! The Staff are all very polite and helpful. The portions are huge, very well presented and very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this pub/restaurant. Excellent value for money. Make sure you are hungry!

The Tram Depot certainly shouldn’t be top of your to-visit list of pubs in Cambridge but it is one which does the job whenever you choose to visit. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating as well as food generally served most days here. Not the most imaginative bar nor the most popular but still a place to get a straightforward pint.

After not a best experience few month ago, I decided to come back to my local pub. I had a lovely experience. Friendly staff, manager has done an amazing job. All staff went the extra mail to keep us happy. As alway food was spectacular and a whole atmosphere has been just great!!!

Visited here a fortnight ago with my carer and friend Danny was applauded by the service one staff member attitude was terrible looked as if she didn’t want to be there £3.40 for a pint of coke was ridiculous ordered meals got mine jut 40 mins later my career and friends meal turned up we had to ask twice it appeared to me they where more bothered about serving the regulars and students than providing a service to customers that were buying meals wouldn’t visit again

Me voy a la cochera de tranvías mucho ya que soy una estudiante de 2 Anglia Ruskin año. Realmente me gusta el pub y la decoración y la comida es buena. Una selección decente de alcohol.

En una reciente visita allí paramos unas cervezas y algo de comida. Selección de cerveza era variado y abundante, así que fue un buen comienzo. Pedimos varios platos del menú de tapas todo de basura, de alguna manera.
