Chill#2 in Cambridge

Really fun spot to hang out while waiting for a delayed train. Coffee was ok, but service was really friendly and almond croissant was one of the best I’ve ever had. And I don’t say that lightly.

This place is really big for sitting arrangements. Good for obviously chilling, have salads & food items available. Toilets are here. Good service

Their are very disorganised, I asked for a Eggs Benedict and they gave to other client. They forgot that I ordered and I needed to remind them again, it took 50 minutes to receive my food. Also noticed other people complaining about not receiving their drink and food.

Fab full English if you're looking for a brunch option to set you up for the day. Relaxed atmosphere. Service leisurely but waited less than 10 minutes for food at around 10.30.

Was about to have a coffee and some lunch here but they are cashless. Businesses like that don’t deserve custom so I chose to go somewhere they would take my legal tender.

Undiscovered cafe in Cambridge in my opinion. £8.5 for breakfast of vegan tomato and cheese croissant, sparkling water, and espresso. It’s also not busy and the staff are great. There’s actually lots of vegan options too.

Had lunch here today. Setting is nice. Menu offering is very limited. Asked for an avocado/poached egg toast with no black pepper (allergy). And it came with black pepper on top. I returned the item to the counter and was told the kitchen wouldn’t be able to make another one because the staff is “in a meeting” and wouldn’t be coming out any time soon. Never heard this excuse before.

Well spent with friends at work! We were a group of 5; had some teas and snacks.. Good spot!! Very cosy and great ambience!! 👍

I watched a live band here, and it was a cosy and pleasant environment to hang out. The coffee was a little disappointing, but it was made quite late into the evening.

Carta no muy amplia pero con platos de calidad tanto por el sabor como por la cantidad y la presentación. Atención amable del perdonal. Precios adecuados, similares a otros cafés de la dona. Recomendable!

We savored a delightful hot chocolate and chai latte, both proving to be excellent. The atmosphere was exceptional, and the customer service surpassed expectations.

Pricey though a tasty breks and no coffee available the day we visited, which is a bit of a basic fail fir a cafe...anyways, the place itself was very snug and comfy and the staff were nice, if a bit vague about what they were doing. WE had to ask about sweeteners and request ketchup when our food arrived...so some basic service training might help ..would also be nice to be able to order online, instead of queueing...nobody likes queueing. 🙄😬 I'd visit again as an occasional but of variety, but there are far better cafes nearby .

This is a pretty cool place to come for brunch. Food is tasty and arrives quickly, staff are friendly. I would advise against having the blackcurrant iced tea, it's mildly flavoured cold water. Otherwise, a nice meal.

Nice atmosphere. Good working space on the tables. However....... Don't pop in for a quick coffee if you need to be somewhere on time. The slowest service possible. It took almost 17 minutes to get a hot drink - after I had said on ordering that I only had 20 minutes. There was no sense of urgency. Staff stood chatting and serving people at a leisurely pace. When I finally asked about my drink I was told mine had been at the end of a long queue and they had been busy. No apology at all. I could see the coffee station from my seat and compared to any other coffee shop - they were not busy at all! When the drink finally did arrive, half of it was in the saucer soaking the napkin.

Killed some time there before meeting a friend. Had avocado on toast. Delicious. Had to wait a while, but the waitress was helpful and pleasant, and apologised. A really nice feel here. Have stayed once before and room was very comfortable. Would definitely return. Thank you

First time visiting this place. It’s modern and clean. Staff are friendly and polite. We were served by Tammin and enjoyed an espresso martini made by her. Will definitely return.

Barista making the coffee as well as server taking payment had the worst attitudes. The coffee was truly awful - tasted like sewer water and they made it so hot I couldn’t hold the coffee even with a carton sleeve. They pride themselves in serving organic artisan coffee - it completely goes to waste with how they make it. Never going back.

Was gonna go to this venue but then saw a huge cardboard cutout of King Charles inside and left. I just wanted food, not your propaganda...

Extremely poor service! We waited for 2 coffees and while people who ordered after us were served, our 2 simple coffees took more than 35 mins to come! Asked twice about the order and the staff just apologised, and taking another good few minutes still! Very very poor service! Not coming here again.

I liked it. The food presentations are beautiful. The coffee was very good. They are generous on the avocado for the avocado toast. The toast and pancakes were acceptable.

Had a little time before catching a train to the airport so choose this little place, like the decor inside but the sun was shining so went for the outdoor seating area.

Great place to study, plenty of charging sockets and seating. Welcoming staff with great food and drink options. Recommend the iced tea and pizzas are so fresh probably the best gluten free based pizza i had.

Love the avocado toast! The portion was really big, enough for lunch. The matcha latte has no flavor, but the latte art was amazing.

A place you can trust will be open late before you need to take a train.

Service was not great, I felt like I was bothering the lady who served me and my friend... Not helpful, so I was disappointed by the service. Her colleague to whom I spoke later instead was great. The food is in good and the atmosphere in the lounge cosy and warm (unlike the service received today).

Decent coffee and a laid back vibe. This is a place you can work from for a few hours with no issues.

I frequent this cafe often due to its great food and friendly service. The manager Lucilia even dropped by to make sure that we're having a good time while listening to live music.

Arrived just before 9am, decor looked great. When I got to the till the waitress looked so miserable and fed up. She bluntly asked what I wanted. So I ordered a black americano. She told me to sit down and she would bring it over. I sat in a cosy corner which looked comfy. When I got out my laptop I realised the table was covered in croissant crumbs. I brushed them to a corner whilst a waitress literally stood there and watched me. I waited over ten minutes for my coffee to arrive and eventually I asked where it was. She looked over to a table they served before me and asked that I was definitely waiting for it. When it came over it looked oily and had no créma! Just served with no sugars or a spoon. I was pushed off my table by an American football team obviously staying at the hotel. Not the staffs fault but didn’t add very well to an already disappointing experience! Sorry chill #2… I was not feeling very chilled!

This space is a strange one: it's really the restaurant/cafe for the hotel to which it's attached, but it's also a very nice alternative to the fast-food style cafes near the train station. It's also sort of a place for people to put their laptops out and do some work: there's a long table with power points where people put on their headphones and study or catch up on email. It avoids being sterile and institutional without absolutely achieving being a warm, comfortable local coffee spot.

A cosy place to stay before getting on the train. Their Chai latte tastes super lovely, so we re-ordered for a second round. The second ones were made by different baristas thus looking and tasting slightly different. Not bad though. We also ordered a pizza, which only took less than 20 minutes for a freshly baked one. Will return for its convenience and vibrancy!

Plate was hotter than the food, awful.

Lots of serving staff around but service slow, tables left uncleared and general mess. Fairly quiet time. A shame as is a nice, warm cafe with very good selection of small plates and drinks.

A fine establishment which has made me and my boyfriend visit every week. Prior to this I had been searching for a coffee shop which provided extended opening hours. Raquel and Luna always provide us with excellent service making sure all our requests are met. The coffee and food are amazing but the warm welcome we always receive is why we always return and will continue to do so.

Warm coffees and undercooked toasties. Nice cosy atmosphere but had to wait ages. Would of complained but the queue was to long and we had a train to catch.

Used to be much better. In 2022, the staff are friendly but severely understaffed. We waited 45 minutes for our coffee. The food and drinks are great but not worth the ridiculous wait. Pizza is not all day despite the board outside advertising this - we were told it's only being offered from 14:00 onwards. Will not return to this place although the chai latte is the best.

Good but very busy place right next to the train station. Came there around 2030 and they ran out of most ingredients for pizza, so had to hit the store and hotel restaurant. So I didn’t get to try any of the pizzas, but be back next time and hopefully they will have it.

Food was excellent. Loved the fact that could keep my eye on the train times. So would have been excellent rating however the staff could be better trained. At the door helpfully told me that the tables have menus but could have also informed of the need to go and order at the till. Brunch places with this level of pricing usually do have a table service. Cappuccino was served cold so returned it and got a hot drink. It was confirmed it is cappuccino but nope it was latte with little extra foam. Cutlery was plonker on a table with no napkin. Table was obviously not wiped since previous customer as it still had suger and spice packages left on it. For £12 toast and coffee I expect better.

Called in here for a cup of tea and cofee with my wife Staff were helpful and polite. Served in proper cups and tea pot. Good variety of sandwiches, rolls and pizzas. Also cakes as well. Very handy when waiting for train to arrive as only 2 minutes to station. It's also open till 11pm which is later than any of the station outlets

Nice little cafe, used it to work for few hours. Has power sockets and good WiFi.

After a very long flight and 2 very long train rides, Luna was our saving Grace with her wonderful service and warm, welcoming smile. The breakfast was delicious and so was the coffee! We highly recommend Chill#2 and ask for Luna!! This will be our go-to-place each time we come to Cambridge!

The sluggiest, least professional and least hygienic service I’ve ever seen. Had half an hour to get a quick breakfast, took 10 mins for someone to clean the table after being asked to do so twice (had to start clearing it myself and has to ask for someone to actually come wipe it down) while someone else spent 10 minutes at the till trying to make a basic order. Had to leave because breakfast was not coming and hadn’t even started being prepared when we asked. Will never come back and would advise anyone who likes good service and does not like random bacteria to avoid this place.

Amazing hot chocolate and coffees. Pizzas are good too. Great location and relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staff, quick service and great if you don’t want a full pub meal at one of the other restaurants.

I had an EXCELLENT latte before getting on the train to London. Otherwise, I can not comment on the food. Very helpful staff.

I accompanied my wife on a business trip, and the hotel, and the little cafe and bar, Chill #2 was a wonderful surprise! The pizzas were tasty, cooked and created to order, and the accompanying cocktails or beverages were served quickly and without difficulty. Fortunately, the little cafe had wonderful folks working there, like Luna and Josh, who made me and my wife feel like valued guests. Coming back in the late afternoon was a joy with the two of them making us feel at home even though we were far away. Thanks again for the wonderful stay!

Nice place to sit and relax especially that it’s close to the train station and also closes late. Their coffee is decent but I always enjoy the vibes of the place.

Great coffee most of the time and open until late but the last time I went, I asked for an iced latte which the barista made as a normal hot latte by accident and instead of making a fresh one he just poured the same hot one over ice leaving me with lukewarm coffee and no ice

I often visit chill #2 Cafe & Bar, where I spend some hours after my 8-hour shift. I like the environment and the atmosphere there, definitely a yes while waiting for the trains.

Very slow service. Waited over an hour for a little breakfast. The kitchen staff were not very polite about it. Was very unhappy. Overpriced.

Stayed in Ibis for 5 days and visited this bar few times. The best cafe and bar in Cambridge. Nice decoration. Staffs are helpful. Will visit again when going to cambridge.

It's ok, the internet is working well, the waiters are nice and it's not very noisy so you can work a lot.

I don’t often post reviews unless there are exceptional staff. We were served by Tiago, who was really friendly and helpful. We had a credit on our account from the hotel (due to a delayed booking from the start of covid) and he went out of his way to ensure that we could use it to purchase breakfast, i.e., ensuring that staff in the hotel were aware of the credit and did not charge us again. He sorted the issue professionally and with a minimum of fuss while being really friendly. Nice to be served by someone who makes an effort. And the breakfast was pretty good as well!

The cafe is fine. The staff is friendly. However they were taking a bit more time to prepare the coffee. Also it would be nice to have cakes or any kind of sweets to eat with coffee. There were no cakes or any sweets in the cafe other than pastries

After they’ve forgotten my order I politely went up to the bar and asked for it, was told to have a sit and that it would be brought right away. After about 30 (1 hour waiting in total) it never arrived.

I asked Luna and Joshua if they could make me a London fog and even though they’d not come across it before they were super accommodating, friendly and Luna made a really great one! Really appreciated seeing Lunas pin badge as well, so nice to...

Went here yesterday evening for pizza and a bottle of fizzy,after going to cinema, staff haven't a clue, went through my order several times,just didn't seem to grasp it,very frustrating, wanted 2 pizzas and bottle of prosecco, not rocket science,not welcoming at all ,won't be going back

Tried this cozy place before boarding a early morning bus and did not regret waking up more than an hour early to have a hearty breakfast here. The latte was also wonderful (especially as the barista really enjoyed making coffee for herself), so I drank rather slowly and took it with me instead of swallowing it when I left for the station.

Is was my second time to have breakfast in here and still continously makes me smile every morning with the food, people and the ambiance. So far my best favorite morning place. 🥰🥰🥰

Could be a real life saver if you’re too early for your train and need a space to work in a comfy seat for a couple of hours. Liked the tea cups and milk bottles, tea bags could be a little stronger perhaps

I never thought I could be this attached to a hotel coffee shop. But it’s often felt like a perfect place and one in which I relearned how to hang out comfortably in public space after the worst of the pandemic passed. The one downside is service has sometimes been quite poor, getting orders wrong and then being defensive when you politely ask something to be changed. But I love the place nonetheless and staying in the attached hotel is now a treat. It was my pandemic living room and I will always be fond of it.

This place is a hidden gem - it’s one of my favourite go-to spots for a hot chocolate or tea. I love that they have various options for hot chocolate. What I appreciate the most is the comfy seating - the sofas and arm chairs and the fact that it’s never really overly crowded. It’s also dog friendly and super central! My only ‘complaint’ is that the food isn’t “cleaner” (vegan, gluten free soups, salads etc), but this is a common factor across most Cambridge eateries. See you again soon!

Relaxed little cafe with a brunch menu, pizzas and a few other bits and pieces. Pizzas can be slow but everything else was quickly prepared. Very convenient if waiting for a train as the departure board is posted inside.

I love the wide varieties of teas there. Peaceful atmosphere and good ambience.

The drinks are tasty and averagely priced. The lounge area is quite comfy with a mixture of sofas, arm chairs, tables and chairs etc. The staff are friendly, however often quite long waits. Ideally they should have someone at the till at all times. Not...
