Cambridge Brew house in center of town is like my home pub. It is always preferred pub to have drinks with friends while enjoying the live streaming of sports. The staff is very friendly and now they are known to me. Being vegetarian there are only few options in food hence rated 4 star.

Went there to watch the rugby match. Great place , good atmosphere.

Some great beers etc. But expensive - go elsewhere for soft drinks.

We had the Sunday roast this week. Totally underwhelmed. We had to ask for steak knives to cut through the beef! Which was mainly fat, I wouldn't have served it to my dogs. It was so tough! Hardly any gravy so we asked for a little bit more and got charged for it! Surprised they didn't charge for the vinegar my dil asked for! The stuffing was hard and burnt to a crisp. We paid the £41 for two dinners and then paid the £5 extra for stuffing and gravy and the 12.5% on top for Service charge, through gritted teeth. We only paid so we didn't embarrass our son,who had booked it. The service was average but she was pleasant. We left feeling hungry and very disappointed 😞

Great location! We visited in October 2024 and Izzie was our server. She was very welcoming, kind and helpful with our order as we are both plant based. Would totally recommend this place for the food, service and drinks! The setting was awesome too :)

Always loved this place but haven't been back in years. My friend and I both had a roast (mine was vegan). Both were delicious, a real treat, and generous a portions. Harry who served us was really polite and friendly. Glad the food is just as good as always, and since becoming vegan, very grateful to have lovely options. Also love the warm cosy classy vibes or the decor and atmosphere.

Great place, I've been to quite a few events and gatherings here over the years, and its always been consistently fab. I'm not an ale drinker, but they seem to have a wealth of choice. Great choice of the slightly premium mainstream beers too (Peroni, Moretti, Staropramen sort of thing). I'm a wine drinker and all is well with the vino. Fantastic friendly atmosphere and quirky furniture

Millie provided a great service and fun time for us, the food was delicious highly recommend the venison haunch and shin of beef pie. Ruby our other server for the night was also super attentive. Thank you for the wonderful experience!!

Cambridge Brew House was the perfect place to take my family for a sunday roast, the service were lovely, attentive and very quick (special thanks to Harry for being the best) and the food was lovely. All round a great experience and would highly recommend :)

Nice Pub I am doing a Cambridge pub marathon recently. Rating will be adjusted throughout the visits of different pubs. Pubs of the Cambridge town centre were surprisingly competitive in price and quality. You know, the rent of the town centre must be the most expensive. This pub too, the food tasted good. Maybe everything was relatively expensive than other pubs in town centre, but we found that it has more meat in the Sunday roast. The burger meat was thicker than other pubs too, but it's on the leaner side. The burger was not hot enough. Despite the Sunday roast being just rump steak, it tasted like sirloin to me. Very high quality beef for sure. The vegetables, potatoes and chips tasted good and cooked well. Beautiful presentation. It's a pub for you if you are willing to afford a slightly higher price for pub grub.

Visité con la familia el domingo ( 24 / 11 ) para un almuerzo tardío. Solía visitar con bastante regularidad, pero no había sido durante un buen par de años como solía encontrar la comida / servicio un poco golpeado - y - señorita. Debo decir que me impresionó esta vez. Todos pedimos los asados del domingo y quedamos impresionados con la calidad de la comida - el pavo era excelente. Buen tamaño de porción para el precio también. El servicio también fue muy bueno. Una joven camarera tomó nuestros pedidos muy rápido y fue muy atento. La comida llegó rápidamente y rápidamente pagamos la cuenta al final. Hubo cierta confusión sobre las opciones sin gluten. Inicialmente nos dijeron que el relleno era sin gluten, pero luego un camarero diferente dijo que no era sin gluten (aunque la primera camarera dijo que el personal de la cocina le aseguró que era sin gluten). Nunca llegamos al fondo del asunto. El relleno también tenía que ser pedido como un lado separado y no estaba incluido en la cena de pavo que se sentía un poco extraño. Algunas de las opciones de vino solo se podían pedir por la botella, pero no es un gran problema. En general nos quedamos impresionados y volveremos a visitar pronto.

Nov-24. Caught up with Vanessa again. More delicious GF brews in the pilot stage. Looking forward to the new Pale Ale recipe this side of Christmas. Head Brewer Vanessa has created Mexican Wave, a very drinkable, gluten free keg lager, cold and perfect for the summer. Nice spot for a pint on the walk home. Really interesting and mixed clientele

They quickly found us a space on some tables that were reserved for later that evening. We didn’t plan on eating but after seeing some of the lovely food coming out of the kitchen, we decided to order some chips/starter meals, which came out swiftly and were very tasty! The rest of our party were due to meet us for drinks and so another 6 people arrived and again the team were super quick to accommodate - some of this party again ordered food and considering we hadn’t pre-booked, I was surprised at the swift turnaround for some delicious meals. The whole time we were there the team looked after us and made us feel welcome, especially Harry, Adam and Izzie. I’ve always enjoyed coming to Cambridge Brew House and Saturday’s experience has just cemented it as one of the best in the city.

Worst Stout I've ever had, (out of Guinness) Bitter wasn't any better, would have rather drunk straight vodka my wife enjoyed her cider

We had our wedding celebration at the venue in the larger private room and they were FANTASTIC. Can not rate them highly enough. We were able to use their projector and sound system to play our playlists and their outdoor section allowed for a lovely change of pace. They were friendly, eager to help, and provided a fantastic buffet.

Went with a group of friends for wings Wednesday. The unlimited wings is a great concept however only managed 15 wings in the allocated time given Also ordered chips and coleslaw as a side dish

We tried a couple of the local brews. We loved the wheat beer option, as it didn't have the sour craft-y taste. Very much reminiscent of a proper German Weissbier. Oh! And the staff was lovely and friendly!

We hired out the Locker Room for a gathering earlier this month, and had a great experience! Staff, both when booking and on the night, were very friendly and happy to help! In particular, thanks to Serena for answering all our questions beforehand and to Harry for looking after us so well on the night. We had a really great time. The room is a nice size with plenty of seating/tables but also open space. We opted not to have the upstairs bar staffed so visited the downstairs one to order, which worked well and despite having quite a small party for the room size, we managed to hit the minimum spend for the room without any issues. I had been before but only in the winter, this time it was summer and we were able to use the roof terrace which was a lovely addition in the warm weather! Nice range of drinks available to suit different tastes, good speakers for the music and it's great to have the projector screen to display some photos etc (you just need to bring along a laptop with a HDMI port). There are railings and space to hang decorations (I believe the only rules are no confetti and nothing that will damage the walls). We didn't have food but a few of our guests, including vegetarian ones, did order some food whilst there and enjoyed it. I'd definitely hire a room here again for future functions (in fact I'm already planning ahead for what we can do there next)! The only major improvement I'd like to see made would be the addition of step free access, as the two function rooms are both upstairs, and up a fairly small curved staircase at that. So do bear that in mind if any of your group has access needs. It's a massive shame that this lovely venue's function rooms aren't accessible for everyone.

A good place to follow the European Championships, but very busy.

Really disappointing. A good choice of beers, but not if you’d prefer wine. The cleanliness in the toilets as well as the sewer smell around our table (we sat by the big screen) could do with some effort, as could the service, which wasn’t very friendly. A shame as this would have been our local during our stay, but after our first visit we gave it a miss.

It Is possible to see all Cambridge city during the lunch: great view! The Place Is very nice and confortable for families too. Menu has not a lot of choises and prices are in general expensive.

I liked it, it was tasty, friendly. We ordered a burger - not very big, but a juicy patty and a soft bun :) Despite the fact that there was still a large company celebrating something, they brought us our order quite quickly, and apologized for the inconvenience. It's nice inside. The only point, we came at 4:00 p.m., and dishes could be ordered from 5:00 p.m., before that only drinks

We had a big family meal as a birthday surprise for one of the party and sadly had an all round bad experience. We booked this table quite a while ago yet somehow still managed to be, what felt like, last on the priority list. When someone finally came to take our order we found out that quite a lot of items were unavailable. That happens, not the end of the world, just not a great start with 4 of our party having to quickly pick something else. After we placed our order we were then told there would be a delay on our food due to a function going on upstairs... This should have been advised before we ordered, as half of us weren't having starters and, by the time the starters finally did arrive, were getting quite hungry and frustrated. One of the starters was missing and arrived after the others finished theirs. It then took a good while for the mains and these also came out in bits. By the time the last meal was served, the first had finished his. The waitress who served us looked like she was quickly dropping our food off before heading out, with her jacket on and sunglasses on her head. No offer of sauces, more drinks or apology of delay. No-one came once to ask if we were enjoying our food and we had to wave down a waiter to advise that 2 of the meals were actually cold and would need to be reheated. The burgers were tiny for the price and all of the chips were luke warm. If you're paying £18 for a burger you'd expect a decent sized burger and hot chips. The flavour was there, which is why I'm giving two stars instead of one, but the size was lacking. It's such a shame, as we picked this restaurant based on good ratings, not living in Cambridge ourselves, and were really disappointed.

Really poor experience here last night. We had a fixed menu- two courses that came out at nearly £27. First was a drab slice of toast with a slither of goats cheese and some diced beetroot, then possibly the saddest salad I’ve ever seen - a handful of quinoa, shop bought cheap guacamole (which isn’t the same as smashed avocado) and some slimey veg. A bit of halloumi was the only nice part of it. Hardly filled me up at all and for £27 I’d expect more. That’s ridiculous to charge this. Having seen other food served beforehand I asked a member of staff I could change my preorder and he said it was “far too late” because everything was already in the fryer - this was 25 mins before the starter was served, which was a bit puzzling. I’d like to come back but simply can’t trust the food.

This is definitively the best place for Wings Wednesdays in Cambridge. At £10, a kilo of wings is sufficient and beats the price/value at Brewdog, Cambridge Tap and Carpenter's/Salisbury Arms. The wings are perfectly cooked, piping hot and juicy, with a crispy outer coating and the right amount of sauce; not sparse or swimming. The Korean and BBQ flavours are great but can be overly sweet to enjoy a whole plate of. The Franks wings are an absolute classic and have that addicting heat and acid to cut through, allowing you to finish the plate with ease. The only thing that would improve these wings would be to offer a homemade blue cheese dip. The wings offerings at other aforementioned places are flaccid and rubbery in comparison. If I wanted wings essentially boiled in sauce I'd go home and disappoint myself there instead. Brewdog wings are slightly comparable, but are often overcooked, and you'd have to suffer their horrendous service whilst you wait between batches of your wings to come out. Overall 10/10 and will be continuing to come here with the boys 💪

We'd scouted this place out for a visit on our trip to Cambridge, as we love micropubs and beer cafes etc - somewhere away from the High Street with fun beers to try! The first night we came it was full with people watching football, so we went back the next day instead. The guy serving had zero personality, he was so sour faced it was off-putting. I tried to have a little joke with him but he was blank. I could have taken it personally, however I noticed he was the same with a big group of students ordering from a nearby table. However when one of his friends came to the bar it turned out he could actually smile and have a laugh, up until the friend left again.... The girls bringing food out and clearing glasses looked equally as miserable, and after holding a door open for one girl carrying plates of food to a table outside, we were also unsurprised to discover a lack of manners too. Beer was nice though, and prices were actually decent in comparison with other local pubs we visited. Disappointed after reading all the reviews, and we left after one drink when we'd hoped to spend longer/more money in there.

We had such a positive visit here. Staff could not do enough to accommodate us as visitors to there beautiful city. We had the best chicken burger ever and my husband enjoyed the choice of ales with the Cocolate Orange Stout coming out on top. What a refreshing place to visit that offer other speciality drinks other than ale. Will definitely visit again. Thank you

Just had a couple of small plates that were just really bad. The chicken tenders were like big fridge raiders, dry and chewy and the potato skins were gloopy, oily and pretty sure they were microwaved. Not nice.
