Las Iguanas - Cambridge in Cambridge

Great burger, but the Corona wasn't very Cold...

*las iguanas customer service have been great, I just hope my feedback is taken on board.* Food was lovely which is a shame , we had a table of fifteen for bottomless brunch for a hen do. The table wasn't ready on time. We didn't get seated until ten past our slot. This wasn't added onto the end.. we had one drink within the first hour which is unacceptable considering. I spoke to the manager (I think) she wasn't overly bothered but did make sure someone was more attentive. So we did get more drinks within the second half. We just kept ordering duplicate rounds to try and help the staff. So didn't get the experience of trying different cocktails and felt like we were just chugging them down to get our money's worth in the end. At the end of our time slot it made me laugh because suddenly the waiter was there ... Ready for drinks orders and of course it was because they were now chargeable and not within the deal. I'm assuming the establishment doesn't have the facilities to have big tables in, which is fine but shouldn't be offered.

I always love this place to have a good time with friends, family,... I recommend it 100%

The food was really good, only came for a bottomless brunch and was very pleased. Worth the money and would 100 percent do again. Our server Viviana was amazing, a very laid back attitude and easy to interact with. A great experience.

Was here for drinks. The beer wasn't cold and the Moctails were not well made.

Went there for a late night meal at around 10pm. Ordered 3 vegetarian starters and they were all terrible. They didn't seem fresh and the sauces used on them were awful. Will never order starters here again. Got the Brazilian curry for main which seemed fresh and tasted good.

Nice selection of food. Good atmosphere, can be catholic on weekends.

Las Iguanas in Cambridge is quickly becoming our favourite place to go. The quality of food and drinks is excellent, and it is amazingly good value for money. Let’s just hope it stays like this for the ongoing future as a lot of restaurants in Cambridge are rapidly going downhill, but the prices are still increasing well done guys and girls!

We are always pleased to be eating at Las Iguanas. Food is delicious, service is quick, staff is polite and attentive. There is always a happy hour, so nothing to be not pleased about. Also, they update their menu from time to time.

We turned up as a big group and they did look after us but the food quality was more rice than chicken.

Nice bar by the river, Saturday evening they gave a dj and free nachos. Great atmosphere. Toilets are upstairs which could be an issue for some. Sharing cocktails are delicious 😋

First night of djs back and it was a great atmosphere and all the customers and staff were very welcoming

Booked a table for 4 online for evening drinks only to arrive to be told that tables weren’t bookable as they had a DJ so had to wait and grab one ?? No mention of a DJ on the website so didn’t stay long anyway Not the best experience

Ordered a Buenos Aires Burger and it is SO GREAT!!! Didn’t expect to have this kind of good food in the UK.

We came here today and got turned away when there was lots of tables. The guy who “served” us pulled a face when we asked for a table. Very poor customer service and not accommodating at all. The people behind us didn’t book a table and got served straight away! Disappointing and wouldn’t recommend this branch!

Usually just grab cocktails here (which are always incredible) but this time we ordered the taco sharing board and it was fantastic!

The food was good, but expensive... Roughly £10 for 10 churros! The chocolate sauce wasn't great but the caramel sauce was very good! However the drinks.... Wow! Very pricey... even for Cambridge. Be sure to get both cocktails when buying it as you basically pay for two at once. (Very cheeky)

Came with my work for a staff party and it was incredible! Drinks wonderful food even better!! Honestly couldn’t have any better staff members serving us , thank you so much guys!!! Definitely would recommend coming for some food and drinks!

Writing review on spot while sitting at the restaurant. We have been quickly welcomed by the waiting staff and sat next to approx 15 people group which was very loud. Would be nice if the waitress took a consideration that this could be not the greatest spot for a couple especially when the whole back of the restaurant was empty. We have requested better table so no problem with that. A kind and polite Indian member of staff Gokul was very attentive, took our drinks and food order. Restaurant was pretty empty (max 10tables in total already served). Our drinks took about 15min to be served (2x’day of the dead’, one corona and glass of Tempranillo). Bartender wasn’t aware of his ticket until manager told him so after approx 10 min. Once drinks arrived, we have enjoyed our drinks until food arrived after about another 20min. I have requested very spicy and with extra chili flakes which was delivered. After our dinner we have asked for a local pharmacy where we could buy a medicine for our daughter and two member of staff were very helpful and engaged. Gokul also came back to our table on couple of occasions to make sure all was up to our satisfaction. This was our another visit in Cambridge restaurant after 1.5 year to give another chance as our last visit (August 2022) was a total fail. I visited Las Iguanas in other cities which I was always satisfied with the service and food. Cambridge one improved but there is still a lot which they lack. Choice of right staff would be the key.

Slow service for bottomless , drinks refreshed very infrequently

Unfriendly, rude staff, who automatically add 12.5% service charge to bill, for slow poor service. Food portions are very small portions and nothing more than average quality, despite the price. Waiting staff became very rude when attempting to pay and questioning bill total - This large restaurant would not let me use my credit card or allow to pay by cash. No signage on the doors - Dirty toilets along way away up 2 flights of stairs.

Lovely food and experience generally. Reasonable prices and nice selection of dishes, Difficult to criticise the atmosphere, since we went on a Thursday 1.30-3.30, and it meant we got a table for 7 easily. Waiter very personable and food served really quickly. No rush to get you out at the end either. Overall, well worth a visit.

We loved everything about Las Iguanas! The team was excellent, food and drinks were also great! One really important thing is that they are open until late, while most places in Cambridge are not.

One waiter doing his best always with a smile but couldn't cope and kept apologising, food small,and cocktails no style no taste ,

The food was average and the service sketchy. We arrived as a party of five at lunchtime and were shown to our seats by a member of staff who informed us that there was a special offer where kids eat free. When the food arrived it was largely bland. My Brazilian curry had no sweet potato as advertised and my son's wacky tacos came with white tortillas as opposed to the black ones shown on the menu. These were replaced when requested. My wife couldn't finish her fajitas as she just didn't enjoy them. Our waiter was initially attentive but this waned as the meal progressed. At no point during the meal were we asked how everything was. The bill arrived with multiple errors including being charged for the child's meal and being charged for the "extra" black tacos. Our waiter told us that we had been misinformed about the free children's meal offer and that the person who told us about it would "get into trouble" for telling us about it because it is not available on Saturdays, and only begrudgingly removed the extra £1.50 for the back tacos advising us that he would take it out of his tip, which is, of course, automatically added. It is a shame because I've enjoyed visits to other branches of Las Iguanas in the past but based on this experience I am unlikely to return.

We were served by really friendly staff who made us feel super welcome. They were child friendly and the river by the restaurant made even more special

We visited Las Iguanas for the first time to spend some vouchers that were given to us as a present. The lo cation is spot on to give you a taste of Cambridge by the river, especially when you can see the traditional punts go by. Food was good with an extentive menu. Staff were Friendly and attentive. We served by Viviana who had a great smile which added to her polished customer service. We will definitely visit again the next time we are in Cambridge.

I visited on my birthday and our server went above and beyond to make it special. We were served by Viviana at the Cambridge branch and she provided impeccable service. She was very friendly and approachable and made the birthday experience that much better. This was our first visit here but we will definitely return after this experience. Not only was the service amazing, but the food was delicious too (Bruno’s Aires Burger).

Amazing food, big shout out to Viviana who looked after us, she was great. Only slight moan, keep the volume down on the music, going out for a meal is about eating and conversation, it’s not a night club. You don’t actually need any ambient noise, the customers will generate that for you.

Very nice restaurant, good view on the river. Fantastic menu, specially chicken fajta and patatas bravas. Also good churros, maybe little urdercook. Sparkling water pricey.
