OMG! Amazing! If google has zero start on this page, I will definitely give them zero even minus. Noodles and dumplings used to be delicious but they have some special skills to make these two taste so bad. Gyoza should be fried dumplings but I got boiled, and noodles are made by transparent konjaku flour not undo! Do they really know what is Undo Noodles?! Did they really try real Undo Noodles before?! The names of foods and the corresponding pictures on the menu are totally different from what I got. I feel scammed. Super disappointed.

Food was ok though not that hot. It was overcrowded, noisy and the tables were not clean. The stools are not very comfortable. Basically it has a canteen feel to the place. I won't go again.

Bao buns cost £2 each!!?? They are tiny and the bao which is supposed to be feather soft is hard around the edges. All the food is pre packaged and doesn't feel at all fresh. Flavour is lacking you need to douse the food in sauces afterwards to make it vaguely acceptable. It feels like a badly run school canteen. Staff were not friendly they seemed bored and tired. Toilet is the worst part. It is absolutely filthy. Vile. It is also shared, I can't imagine any woman being able to sit on the seat covered in various liquids and soggy toilet paper without being sick or getting some kind of disease. Really really disappointed will never be going to itsu again.

No soap in disabled toilet. This situation has lasted for months. I informed the manager a week ago, and he promised to sort it out. Yesterday there was still no soap. There is soap in the other toilet, and the dispensers are not broken. So it looks like someone constantly forgets to fill the one in the disabled toilet. Very disappointing to say the least. A disabled child has no possibility to follow elementary hygiene rules.

I didn't know what to expect when going I to itsu but I was very pleasantly surprised by both the layout and the food. They have a great selection of cold and hot foods to choose from that aren't expensive. The food was great, we all loved what we bought and could not fault any of the flavours or portion sizes. But what stood out most for me was the way they have laid out the restaurant, it's simply beautiful, it's a nice relaxing environment to eat your food in. I would highly reccomend going to itsu as I will be going back a few more times in the future.

Great choices for lunch. Speedy service and decent prices for sushi.

In most cases, whether a fast food meal is a success or not starts with the dishes provided. What quality are the cardboard spoons and cups? Were they designed to be handy? I regret to answer the second question in particular with no. The liquid drips from the style and stains the surface of the table, which, if you think about it long enough, should be something to be happy about. You're less likely to "enjoy" the below-average soup at an above-average local price. However, the service is good, the establishment is clean and the conditions are friendly.

Itsu is a good little spot to grab some lunch, especially some of the cold foods on options in the fridges. The food here tasted good, and the cold teriyaki chicken rice box was very tasty with a side of hot vegetable gyoza. Was a bit on the pricey side however, especially when looking at what you’re paying for. Sitting in the restaurant is a pleasant experience, and was a nice touch to have dog leads under the table to keep them in place. Staff here are friendly, and the restaurant is clean. Recommended if you’re in Cambridge 😸

The most rubbish sushi I've ever had. I ordered an Uber priority delivery that included 3 sets of sushi (2 for adults and 1 for a child) and received only two. 1 Item(for child) was missing and the helpline is not responding my messages. Also I was quite disappointed with the quality of the food, sushi was falling apart. Moreover I found that they put wasabi between rice and salmon which make them not suitable for children. Guys be careful if you order it for your kids! I still hope that the helpline will pay attention to my order and refund my money. Btw the delivery was fast and I have no questions to that. I can not recommend that restaurant.

I really don't know what this new trend is supposed to be that they only cook the chicken to just about legally cooked dont get me wrong it is cooked through but just about as im someone is really stopping the cooking process when it leagally reached the temperature that it needs to hit. I experienced something similar at Wagamama and there the staff was even saying that they had a few customers commenting on it a real pity I really liked the Teriyaki chicken.

I came here yesterday with my dog, all was ok, today I came and I am told no dogs allowed. Can you please put a sticker on your doors that dogs are not welcome, so people will not be confused? Visitors with dogs are very common now and you need to clearly state your attitude about this issue. Also, the staff lady spoke to me in an unpleasant tone. I did not like my experience and I will avoid Itsu altogether for some period of time which I hope was not the initial intention of the owners.

Just popped in for a quick early lunch on the go was very quite. Food was nice but not anything special tbh. Will try eating in next time.

Definitely have no idea how they dare to open a store.. staff are nice, but the food is neither cheap nor tasty, worse than simply any instant noodle you can buy in an Asian market, cost is like less than £1 yet they sell at £7.99, and the only strength they have is that they serve fast. I wouldn’t recommend if you’ve ever in your life tried something decent. Sorry.

Das ekeligste Essen das ich je vorgesetzt bekommen habe. Zerkochter Reis mit TK Gemüse, das auch noch tiefgefroren war und labberiges Hühnchen.

awful “asian” food. spicy chicken teriyaki served with (indian?) basmati rice, weird sauce that tastes of kimchi? and full of peas. strangest chicken teriyaki i’ve had in a while. i doubt anyone can even locate japan on the map.

Looking at the place from outside it seemed a nice restaurant to sit; people watch; and eat. Sadly it wasn’t. Staff didn’t know what the menu items actually consisted of. A lot of the food was pre-made in some plastic boxes a little further away from the counter and the actual noodles I ordered were a big disappointment as well. It was very different from the photo on the menu board 🤣 It consisted of a few noodles with half the cup full of green beans. The cup wasn’t nicely filled either at all, it’s a very small amount of food for having dinner. The staff also kind of just shoved our food on our table and ran off. This is an ok place for takeaway and small portions I guess?

Not supporting cash payments is the end of your business.

First time trying Itsu... And I think I might actually like it more than Wasabi!? The veggie sushi box tasted very fresh, there were a lot of flavours there. I also liked there were sauces on the tables - Teriyaki and a spicy sauce (can't remember what that one was called) as well as soy sauce on tap and seeds. I added some seeds to my sushi (perhaps odd to some people) but it actually added a nice crunch. There was mint in some of the sushi which also gave a fresh taste, I also liked the crunch of the green beans. I wanted to try all the different sauces, seeds etc with my meal, however I think it would have had plenty of flavour without and I did regret putting quite a bit of Teriyaki on at one point! The staff were friendly and didn't misgender me. The place was really clean and not too busy. It looked like there weren't tables accessable via wheelchair but I may be wrong as I didn't look around the whole shop. I need to go back and see what other veggie/vegan dishes they do! I also bought a spork! 🍴

This is a UK trading business that does not accept UK currency. This practice is hostile to tourists, who may not have an electronic card that can transact in pounds. It is also discriminatory against people with disabilities and/or any less-fortunate member of our society who may struggle to access or to use electronic-only banking. UK businesses must accept UK currency. Don't patronize establishments like this that refuse to. Edit: Reply to the reply: None of what you said contradicts my points. Further, other businesses remain demonstrably able to transact using UK currency. This is proof enough that it is feasible and achievable. I posit that your primary reason to refuse currency is a cost-cutting measure, and the other "justifications" you have stated publicly are nothing more than a post-hoc justification. I reiterate: Nothing you have said addresses my core concerns. Rather, it deflects. You have made a speech, but not an argument.

Odd experience where sushi is pre-made rather than behind counter, not as good as the screen order experience and staff didn’t make clear. Received wrong dish

Food is 5 star in the category of fast suhsi houses. Place cleanliness is poor. Tables not cleaned although they charge extra for eating in. Worst Itsu restaurant I have been to.

Very nice itsu, good quality sushi for being preprepared. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bathrooms had a strong urine oder despite looking clean rest of restaurant was very clean and tidy with nice decor.

Had a very nice chicken katsu with noodles. However I was rather puzzled as to why I had to pay slightly extra for the meat version, or is this normal.

Its okay, i think, but at the same time I think that there also needs to be a bit of seperate tables, although that might be the theme of itsu, but the food is very good.

Came to Cambridge as a tourist and found most places to eat to be tourist traps, very expensive and/or greasy options. This place is an oasis in the middle of the best landmarks, very quiet and clean with lots of vegetarian and low fat healthy options

Lovely food, god fo a quick bite to eat.

The rice is half cooked. The lady told me at the till the thats how the rice should be done and I told her I eat rice 3 times a day everyday as im asian. She didnt want to listen even though she tried it but its really bad the taste its like eating a raw rice. Very disappointed when she didnt acknowledge my side of view. She offered me a chicken noodles but I paid more than the noodle and she didnt even want to give me a refund straightaway when I asked. You should not sell food specially with rice as you dont know what your doing at all. I can report you guys to a health and safety due to proper food handling amd preparation of food.

Healthy, fresh, environmentally conscious, vegan and vegetarian options available

I don't like eating at lunchtime but I do like sushi. So Itsu is perfect for me - fast and healthy food. Also I don't eat meat, so having a tasty choice of fish and vegetarian is ideal. I often have their Miso soup, which is sufficient for a light snack. Can't comment on service as obviously it is self-service. But it is easy to access the shelves of food. And I've never had to queue for long to pay, even when busy. Staff are friendly.

Itsu is a very fast and convenient place to get a warm and fairly healthy meal. The first thing I noticed was the bright pink and welcoming atmosphere, which made it exciting to eat at! There's also a variety of prepared foods stores in cooled containers right by the entrance, which makes it pretty convenient to grab and go. We ordered a noodle bowl with chicken and added a poached egg on top, which was a little under £10. This meal was good enough sized for 2 not super hungry, and overall it was very healthy. I especially liked the fast service and sauces bar!

We ordered 3 Thai odon noodles, 1 chicken odon and 1 rice bowl teriyaki. The chicken noodles were mostly liquid with the only chicken in it was the dumpling which tasted very floury. The rice bowl was very salty, the table was very dirty and the toilets were disgusting. It was only when we left that we noticed 2 other noodle bars very close that looked far superior. Not recommended.

Lovely range of meals and great value for money. First time I visited an Itsu and I my family and I went back three times in one week for more! 😋

Really poor experience here a while ago. The prices are confusing as certain offers you can only have for eat in or take out and the staff were really rude when I got confused about this at the till. The food itself is ok but nothing special. Can't say I could recommend.

I sometimes eat it Miso detox soup. After seasoning it with sauces that are on every table. it's very tasty.

Extremely slow service, food was delicious but trying to get it was painful.

Ordered a triple chicken rice bowl. 3 pounds more expensive than the regular rice bowl my friend ordered, but I couldn't tell the difference. Same amount of chicken, same box size. I told them to skip the spring onions, but the staff said everything is mixed. Low flexibility. Overcrowded space.

Dirty and unhygienic, this has to be one of the worst Itsus in the Uk The tables were sticky the food portly prepared and strongly advise to avoid.

We stopped off here before seeing a show at the Corn Exchange. The girl that served us was really friendly and helpful with suggestions as we hadn't eaten there before. The food was hot, fresh and reasonably priced. The dumplings were really nice 😋

They were out of Veggie Gyozas right from the morning until late evening. I tried 5 6 times but they weren't in stock. The service was average, staff was not very friendly and polite. Atmosphere was good but could have been better.

Usually enjoy eating at Itsu, but at this branch the quality of sushi has deteriorated and rice bowls are more salty now. Also, new staff at shop front is rude and blocks view when trying see sushi options - makes me want to leave empty handed.

A place for a fast and fresh meal. They have hot dishes, salads, and sushi. They are all packed for you to grab and go. But you can also sit and eat there to enjoy your food and drinks.

They have gluten free soy sauce!!!! I frequently visit this sushi restaurant in Cambridge when shopping. It’s the best one and now they’ve just got better by having gluten free soy sauce. I’m delighted!

ITSU in Cambridge is a disgrace to the brand, I'm sorry. I used to work in ITSU and I love it ever since. I have worked in four shops in London. Now I never miss the chance to take friends to ITSU wherever we are, taking pride in having worked for the chain. Cambridge shop disappointed me with one thing - customer service, total fail, here's why. When we went in, I knew that my friends would choose longer as they were not familiar with the menu. To avoid being rushed (like the customers before us), we stopped far away from the till, allowing other customers to order, if any, however there weren't any at the time. While choosing though, the person at the till stood staring right at us with hands on the counter, despite the long distance and that we obviously were NOT READY to go to the till and order. That made us feel quite uncomfortable and, as there weren't any other customers at the time, we felt forced to step forward and make the order anyway. And so we did, choosing quickly and keeping our choice to a minimum to just break free from the awkward situation. What made it even worse, much worse actually, was the attitude by the same person at the till. The shop was busy with customers talking, so we were struggling to hear what he was talking about, he made no attempt to speak up after a few times us asking him to and to repeat. In the end of the whole pulling teeth communication, he went off doing things without telling us that the terminal was ready for us to pay, we stood there feeling like idiots and I just noticed the display so we paid and moved to the side. Being hot and building up frustration of the whole bad impression this guy made to the otherwise always praised by me ITSU to my friends, I tried to look around and find the cutlery etc. Probably someone was standing there, so I wasn't really seeing them, when suddenly I noticed the good old spork (spoon+fork) in a tray near the till, so in line with the whole atmosphere, I thought I was being silly thinking it would be elsewhere; took one gently and this same guy, who had just been so horribly incommunicative by now and doing his thing, flew to me to stop me (not quiet anymore) and to tell me that these were sporks "customers have to pay for". I didn't even get the chance to realise that the thing in my hand was made of metal, so obviously not part of my order, but his attack left me no time to process anything, it all happend in a stretch of a few seconds!!! I could have been more than happy to pay for the metal spork, conserving that ITSU is so dear to me that I even keep my PLASTIC spork at home and wash it after use, can you imagine??? All he had to do, was to say something polite and I would have tapped my card for at least 2-3 of these, I don't even care how much they cost! Anyway, embarrassed by the looks of people around and feeling being treated like a person who just attempted shoplifting of a £1 spork after paying £30 for some sushi, I dropped the spork back in its place, apologised, the guy turned his back around and carried on with his obviously dreadful job, resulting in some disgusting and a reputation-damiging attitude towards customers. On top of that, one if the things I had praised ITSU as top of the world for to my friends - cleanliness or hygiene, was another serious fail in this shop in Cambridge. It was disgusting all around the tables and worst of all - on them. I remembered how we would clean the hell out of the customer area when I worked in ITSU, so it literally hurt my feelings that my friends will probably never repeat the experience. Sadly, cannot blame them, I can still feel the sticky filth on that table. Overall, my personal experience was extremely bad, if not traumatic. It seems that staff in ITSU Cambridge are not up to any standard, ITSU's or otherwise. That alone also speaks clearly of poor management as well, probably starting with recruitment and ending with day-to-day management responsibilities.

I like itsu but my life it is becoming expensive and the variety is not as wide as others in the area. On reflection i could have gone to Wagamama and had a main and a drink for the same cost.

Delicious fresh food, good size portions at a reasonable price. Just the best 'on the go' sushi place on the high street. My favourite place to go for lunch. (Stopped doing coffee here)

Expectations were not very high, understandably it is a (fast food) chain, and the meals come in pre-packaged boxes. I got the gyoza noodle dish, but the dumplings and the noodles were under-cooked, and didn't really taste like anything (I had to add a lot of soy sauce to give the dish a bit of flavor)... My friend got the Thai-style noodles, which had a mustard dressing that didn't really fit the dish. Neither of us finished our food.

As a Japanese, I generally don't expect a lot from Japanese fast food restaurants in the UK, but with all respect this one was quite disappointing. Sushi was fine (although the rice was slightly undercooked and it contained no vinegar). But Katsu curry wasn't really my thing at all. It wasn't Katsu that you expect - chicken was not fried, but rather marinated with very salty sauce. I don't mind adaptation as long as it tastes nice - this one was questionable. I am not a fan of the system of using so much disposable things as well even when you eat in (from the dish to the cutleries).

Favourite place!!! I love itsu so much i cannot put it into words! My favourite is the chilled chicken teriyaki on a bed - I recommend eating in as the restaurant is lovely and feels clean and comfortable with chargers and bottles of soy/ teriyaki at every table 😋. I love the sushi options also , as well as the warm food (paradise rice with soy😩) I am so grateful that cambridge has an itsu and will be heartbroken when i have to leave the area next year 💔. not to cause havoc but itsu>wasabi. every single time i have been to this itsu, the staff have been so kind and welcoming!- i almost applied for a job here but i think i would have been fired for eating the food 😳😊As of last week, i have eaten chicken teriyaki on a bed of rice at every itsu in existence 🎉 my favourite has got to be either cambridge (👑) or stratford although none have been anything short of outstanding. Itsu should be number 1 on trip advisor for every city it populates ! every time i have the opportunity to make a wish (birthdays etc) i wish for an itsu black card ❤️🖤❤️🖤❤️🖤I love you Itsu ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Ok food, however understanding allergens is a bit of a task. Particularly if you have intolerances. Clear labelling should be displayed to aid potential customers.

Really nice ready to go vegan salads, I ate in, no real interaction with the staff but I guess that's because it's a self-serve place. I would definitely recommend going there though, one of the nicest salads I've had !

Great place to eat if you don't want the formality of a full service sit down restaurant. Walk in, pick and pay then sit down and eat in a relaxed environment.

The prawn goyza noodles were vile & the chicken goyza passable. I’m a noodle fiend & these were enough to put me off noodles altogether. Not a good place to eat, a waste of money, could go somewhere much better & authentic instead with a chef & some passion. Never again!

Sometimes crowed and usually unclean. Almost all the dishes include gingers which tasted weird. Would recommend other Japanese restaurants.

I love itsu, food tasted great but I've asked for extra sauce twice on my udon noodle dish but not received it. Bit of confusion regarding the new itsu loyalty app where according to my understanding it is 1 stamp received after every £5 spent but I've only had one added and I've spent over £15! Not very good upgrade/change from the itsu loyalty card where i used to get 1 stamp after every hot food purchased! Plus the toilet was out of order so had to queue for the only one in use (which had no toilet paper!) which is not really acceptable at a impeccable location as this in the middle of Cambridge.

Not expensive and great for a quick lunch which is what we had. Plenty of choice at really good prices and lovely food. Obviously not for a special occasion but lovely for a quick cheap lunch
