The salmon avocado rolls were so good, but ramen was so different from Japanese ramen… i am still looking for REAL Japanese food around here. 🥲

This is my favourite Japanese place in Cambridge not just because of the food but the atmosphere is kind of comforting in a way that's hard to pin down

Yummy food, really nice atmosphere, lady the served us was a bit intimidating but was a good experience overall. Would recommend.

The food at this restaurant was tasty, but the service was really unacceptable. They seated my partner and I at a 4 top table, but part way through the meal split the tables up such that it was no longer possible for us to get out of the booth. As such, we were seated really uncomfortably close to another table, and we watched the following interaction: they brought out a plate of sushi to our neighbors. Our neighbors ate one piece, realized they didn't order it, and let the waitress know. The waitress then gave the plate of sushi (minus one piece) to the table who did order it without even taking it back to the kitchen. Also, everything was noticably expensive compared to other similar restaurants in the area. Nothing here should cost more than £15.

I really enjoyed my time at Tokoko. I got here as they opened, so it wasn't very busy and it was nice and quiet. I ordered a Tonkotsu ramen, which I thoroughly enjoyed!

Food is very overpriced and not fresh. Ordered a teriyaki pork don. Pork was very tough and dry, clearly cooked a long time ago and quickly reheated. Food was not sitting well with me for the rest of the evening.

Yesterday I had a really lovely lunch. Those are some of the most flavourful nigiri i’ve had outside of Asia. YUM.

Was sent pink chicken nuggets...and milk had gone off on milk tea...2 things that could make someone very sick. Be careful!

The best sushi and noodle bar I've been to in Cambridge! Good atmosphere, service was quick, polite and gave good advice about questions regarding the food (someone is not into spicy food, but wanted something that mentioned it had chilli). Watermelon soda is to die for.

I don’t normally leave reviews but this restaurant was such a great find. I came here with my wife who’s usually very picky but she absolutely loved it. Honestly, the sushi was such amazing quality, way better than the big chain sushi places. I’m definitely going to come back!!

Went to this place tonight, very lovely Sushi, fresh ingredients. Ordered lots of stuff. All my friends loved it! Service is great and friendly, definitely going back.

Tend not to leave negative reviews but this sadly warranted it. Had friends visiting so ordered a selection, generally good reviews on Google so figured it was a safe bet. Philly roll, tempura prawn roll, were poorly constructed, laughably small sliver of prawn throughout the Philly roll, all very sloppily constructed with an odd taste to the rice. Chicken yakitori was essentially chicken on a skewer, but rather than chicken pieces, there were pieces of unrendered fat just interspersed with chicken. Gross. Teriyaki don was average. As was the chicken poke bowl. Again quality of meat was poor with unrendered chewy fat. Overall, you’d find more enjoyable sushi and donburi in your average Wasabi. I’m genuinely surprised by how positive other recent reviews are. This ranks amongst my worst five Deliveroos and definitely the worst sushi/Japanese I’ve had. For the price too, quite shocking.

What a gem! I found this little place near the Grand Arcade in Cambridge last Sunday. I ordered a few of my favorite Japanese dishes, plus a miso soup. I was absolutely astonished by the quality and freshness of the food and how well it all tasted. I would say it was some of the best Japanese food I've had in a long while. I ordered a bubble tea earlier in the day to start my shopping (it was refreshing and very tasty indeed) and noticed how busy it was and how friendly and professional the staff were. I decided I'd come back after shopping, and I'm so glad I did! I will no doubt be returning next time I'm in Cambridge.

Worst bubble tea I've ever had. Had a chocolate milk tea and a fruit one. Chocolate tea tasted more like fish than chocolate and the fruit tea tasted more like water with a hint of tea with no hint of fruit. Both were thrown in the bin after a sip. Won't be returning

We ordered the food online. Sushi was of poor quality, extremely small portions, ingredients not fresh. Will never order again.

Ordered 1 bubble tea. The person working takes 10 minutes to make two bubble teas, tell me why I had to wait 20 minutes for a simple lychee bubble tea? You guys tell me. Also the second worker was just sitting down on their phone the entire time and didn’t care to help in the kitchen to make anyone’s orders go faster. Also the bubble tea didn’t taste good at all and was watered down. Mood ruined after ordering here, service is terrible.

Ayer probé mi primer cuenco y no decepcionó. El salmón sabía fresco, todas las verduras, arroz, algas y cebollas crujientes sabían crujientes, parecía vibrante y me sentí lleno después. Tenía una lata de coca para complementar esto y mucha soja. En general era delicioso y sin duda volvería a tener. Propinas como todo sabía increíble. Un gran plato para tener en clima cálido, ya que todo está frío. Lo recomendaría a todos.

This is one of my top go to sushi restaraunts in Cambridge. I've been here a lot of times for dinner and lunch and their food is consistently wonderful. Yesterday I tried my first ever poke bowl and it did not disappoint. The salmon tasted fresh, all the vegetables, rice, seaweed and crunchy onions tasted crisp, looked vibrant and I felt full afterwards. I had a can of coke to compliment this with and plenty of soy. In all it was delicious and I would definitely have again. I tipped as everything tasted amazing. A great dish to have in hot weather as everything is cold. I would recommend to all.

I had lunch here awhile ago prior to my dentist appointment. The place is small but nice and clean. For the food,it’s absolutely delicious! Priced well! Owner is friendly and you’ll get the best service. I enjoyed my lunch. Highly recommended. They only accept cash payment tho’.

We had read all the great reviews before we went in and prices looked quite attractive on the takeaway menu before we gave it a try. The food was freshly made. It tastes ok but there were way too many cheese in my sushi. I would say they had put at least half a tab of cream cheese in there and very little salmon. So all i can taste in my sushi was cheese and rice and that made me felt a bit sick afterwards. My husband ordered chicken curry. I had a bite. Chicken curry taste ok but they put something underneath the chicken to make the portion look bigger. The dine in price was more expensive even though take away cutlery were used due to Covid reasons. Overall we paid just over 30 pounds. For the amount of food we got for £30.40. We felt we can get better quality food elsewhere. Wish we had went somewhere like itus or Wasabi instead, the food would have been better there and it wouldn't have cost us 30 pounds for similar food. Don't think I will ever go back to this place again unfortunately.

Genuinely lovely experience. Staff were kind and knowledgeable, and made me and my family feel very welcome. The food is absolutely delicious, if you like noodles and sushi then I highly recommend this place. Portion sizes are excellent too, I had the Tonkotsu ramen and it was just the right amount.

Probably my favourite sushi place in Cambridge! It is a tad bit more expensive than others, but I think it’s very much worth the price and it’s one of those places where you feel like you are getting what you paid for. I normally stick with a basic uramaki roll and some miso soup but really everything on the menu that I have tried so far is great, including the boba! And if you’d like something sweet, the matcha dorayaki is also delicious!

We enjoyed our lunch here. Seating area not very big and cash only when you dine in. Would happily go back. Inari nigri and avocado hosomaki were spot on, as was custard dorayaki. Bento boxes were great, veggie spring rolls very tasty.

I couldn't finish it, nothing good to say about the order and most definitely not worth the price.

This is one of my favourite places to go eat in Cambridge. It's a small business with lovely staff and some of the best food I've ever had! I love their bubble tea as well and they have a loyalty card for that. Very pleased with their service!

It's been a while since I last visited Cambridge, and I'm really missing the vibrant atmosphere and memories from my university days there.

Sashimi tuna had not a good color: was dark brown. Id appared not fresh. I didn't eat it. The fries were coked in a oil with a strong taste of fish. It means that they didn't change oil often. The spicy food isn't spicy. I ordered a take away, so without table service, and it was pricey.

Delicious sushi that I usually order. Unfortunately on this occasion a few of the pieces of sushi had avocado that had gone brown / brown spotty which I don’t think was appetising and I worry about eating them. I will still continue to order from here however as the rest of the times have been wonderful and issue free so hoping this is a one off!

Due to some difficulties communicating – entirely my fault – the delivery driver had some trouble finding me. The restaurant, however, went out of their way to make sure I got my order (and the driver was very sympathetic about it all). An excellent experience.

Lowkey one of the tastiest meals I’ve had in a while.

Went for a quick bite and food was good. We share the katsu curry chicken, really well cookee and sauce was good. Miso soup and sushi were average. Will go later on to try the ramen and other cookes dishes.

The food is all made fresh unlike other Asian restaurants in Cambridge. The service was great and very fast and pricing was amazing for the quality of the food. Would definitely recommend coming here and will be returning!

We had a taro milk tea and a passionfruit bubble tea. My brother didn't know that there were tapioka in the bubble tea, so he didn't like it. I enjoyed the milk tea a lot.

Sehr nettes Personal. Das Unagi war leider etwas gummiartig. Die vegetarische Ente ist eine gute Option, allerdings gefiel mir die Konsistenz auch nicht so gut.

One star for not taking card payments. This is always an inconveniencing for clients, not just me, I can see it when I dine in and people have to run to the ATM. Another star for the excessive use of single use plastic even when eating in.

Great disappointment. We looked at the rating, which was pretty high (4.6). I still don't know how was it possible. My family had sushi, bento box and curry None of them were good. And the fish on sushi was simply not fresh. The worst spent 50 pounds for a long time.

One of the best restaurants I have been to. Amazing atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was good althought the sushi rolls could be more tightly rolled, always fresh. Prices are reasonable and affordable.

Really impressed with the takeaway sushi here. Would def order again. My wife doesn’t eat fish and was very content with the vegan box set, which she said was quite good. HOWEVER, our order didn’t come with chop sticks, which we found really annoying given the price — and we had to use forks instead. Owners, please include chop sticks with all orders! I don’t think this is something people should have to specifically ask for… who has these laying around in a typical kitchen?!? Other than that, we were happy!

Best sushi in Cambridge! Prices are very reasonable, portions are big and most importantly it always tastes great , so yummy. Everyone working there is super nice and friendly as well.
