Fantastic food and service. I don’t usually opt for Japanese food but every time we come to Cambridge we absolutely have to stop here!

We enjoyed our lunch here. Seating area not very big and cash only when you dine in. Would happily go back. Inari nigri and avocado hosomaki were spot on, as was custard dorayaki. Bento boxes were great, veggie spring rolls very tasty.

Probably my favourite sushi place in Cambridge! It is a tad bit more expensive than others, but I think it’s very much worth the price and it’s one of those places where you feel like you are getting what you paid for. I normally stick with a basic uramaki roll and some miso soup but really everything on the menu that I have tried so far is great, including the boba! And if you’d like something sweet, the matcha dorayaki is also delicious!

This is one of my favourite places to go eat in Cambridge. It's a small business with lovely staff and some of the best food I've ever had! I love their bubble tea as well and they have a loyalty card for that. Very pleased with their service!

It's been a while since I last visited Cambridge, and I'm really missing the vibrant atmosphere and memories from my university days there.

The food is mouthwatering and the hygiene is just superb!

The chicken katsu curry is lovely and spicy and the salmon poke bowl is delicious and refreshing

Sashimi tuna had not a good color: was dark brown. Id appared not fresh. I didn't eat it. The fries were coked in a oil with a strong taste of fish. It means that they didn't change oil often. The spicy food isn't spicy. I ordered a take away, so without table service, and it was pricey.

It's a very warm shop. I go there often. The roasted bird rice is very delicious... The boss is very nice and enthusiastic. I would call it the best Japanese food in Cambridge...

Really good size portions, so filling and the atmosphere is so welcoming and people who run the place are extremely nice. I will be coming back again

I LOVED IT OMG - the staff are lovely, it's quick, affordable, such nice decor and environment and just overall lovely, me and my friend got milk tea and we loved it!

I had lunch here awhile ago prior to my dentist appointment. The place is small but nice and clean. For the food,it’s absolutely delicious! Priced well! Owner is friendly and you’ll get the best service. I enjoyed my lunch. Highly recommended. They only accept cash payment tho’.

Went for a quick bite and food was good. We share the katsu curry chicken, really well cookee and sauce was good. Miso soup and sushi were average. Will go later on to try the ramen and other cookes dishes.

The food is all made fresh unlike other Asian restaurants in Cambridge. The service was great and very fast and pricing was amazing for the quality of the food. Would definitely recommend coming here and will be returning!

We had a taro milk tea and a passionfruit bubble tea. My brother didn't know that there were tapioka in the bubble tea, so he didn't like it. I enjoyed the milk tea a lot.

Sehr nettes Personal. Das Unagi war leider etwas gummiartig. Die vegetarische Ente ist eine gute Option, allerdings gefiel mir die Konsistenz auch nicht so gut.

One star for not taking card payments. This is always an inconveniencing for clients, not just me, I can see it when I dine in and people have to run to the ATM. Another star for the excessive use of single use plastic even when eating in.

Great disappointment. We looked at the rating, which was pretty high (4.6). I still don't know how was it possible. My family had sushi, bento box and curry None of them were good. And the fish on sushi was simply not fresh. The worst spent 50 pounds for a long time.

Really quite average food in takeaway boxes, not great service with meals arriving at different times. restaurant was very hot despite it being a cool evening.

We had read all the great reviews before we went in and prices looked quite attractive on the takeaway menu before we gave it a try. The food was freshly made. It tastes ok but there were way too many cheese in my sushi. I would say they had put at least half a tab of cream cheese in there and very little salmon. So all i can taste in my sushi was cheese and rice and that made me felt a bit sick afterwards. My husband ordered chicken curry. I had a bite. Chicken curry taste ok but they put something underneath the chicken to make the portion look bigger. The dine in price was more expensive even though take away cutlery were used due to Covid reasons. Overall we paid just over 30 pounds. For the amount of food we got for £30.40. We felt we can get better quality food elsewhere. Wish we had went somewhere like itus or Wasabi instead, the food would have been better there and it wouldn't have cost us 30 pounds for similar food. Don't think I will ever go back to this place again unfortunately.

Homely warming tasty food with great portions,

One of the best restaurants I have been to. Amazing atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was good althought the sushi rolls could be more tightly rolled, always fresh. Prices are reasonable and affordable.

Generous, delicious, and stylish (!) food with really friendly, easygoing service. You can dine in, takeaway, or get a delivery (order on Tokoko's own website).

Really impressed with the takeaway sushi here. Would def order again. My wife doesn’t eat fish and was very content with the vegan box set, which she said was quite good. HOWEVER, our order didn’t come with chop sticks, which we found really annoying given the price — and we had to use forks instead. Owners, please include chop sticks with all orders! I don’t think this is something people should have to specifically ask for… who has these laying around in a typical kitchen?!? Other than that, we were happy!

Best sushi in Cambridge! Prices are very reasonable, portions are big and most importantly it always tastes great , so yummy. Everyone working there is super nice and friendly as well.

Fair. We may have been unlucky, but the fish on all of our sushi rolls had that bad fish smell and the rolls were so lightly rolled that they just fell apart. The spicy ramen had a good spice to it, which was nice but it lacked other flavors, which was surprising. The noodles and the pork belly in the ramen was excellent though. The bubble tea was good as well.

Very delicious sushi, the Rainbow rolls and the golden rolls were amazing. Very sweet staff, our waiter Winnie was great and attentive even when she and colleague had lots of deliveroo orders coming in. Recommended.

Always have a delivery from here, nice food. Usually deliver within an hour. Would only suggest to keep rice consistent as sometimes it’s over cooked …

Great sushi and price! I’ve ordered Tokoko’s Philadelphia maki set (£15.6) through Deliveroo for more than 10 times in the past year, and it is consistently delicious 🍣 I appreciate that it is vegetarian-friendly and have a few good vegetarian options. My vegetarian friend recommends the Vegetarian Californian roll futomaki (£5.8) because it has some crunchy bits inside. I’ve ordered salmon sashimi in the past and it’s quite fresh as well, though less filling than sushi for the same price. Moreover, the wasabi portion is generous, which is essential for the sushi experience! 😄

Had the Taro milk tea and it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend it!!

Amazing customer service! My favourite place to go eat, the food is affordable and delicious. There Boba has loads of flavours and the flavours are divers and tasty. I love the staff very pleasant and I have never had a bad experience! I highly recommend!

Definitely the highest quality of sushi I've had in Cambridge so far, employees are friendly and sushi is tasty. Both delivery and dining were great experiences. Would definitely reccomend to sushi lovers and people who would want to try sushi.

Very nice family meal. Staff are very friendly and welcoming upon entry. We ordered several meals which included a char sui pork ramen, katsu chicken curry, katsu chicken bento, sea weed salad, and a Jo sushi set. The food was excellent. It was served on paper/plastic plates due to covid etc... but restrictions are over so i don't know what to make of this. The sushi rolls were a touch on the small side, the nagiri was as expected. I had raw prawn, raw calamari, raw bass, and raw octopuses nagiri. It's been 48 hours and I've not had any problems! So despite the expensivness of the sushi it appears they do indeed use very fresh ingredients. 4/5 stars due to the food been perhaps a little more expensive than I would have expected.

First time visiting after the lockdown and has changed little bit. Quality of foods were good and very impressed about customer services such as the staffs are very friendly and keep checking up on us. Phoenix rolls were better than my expectations and definitely would like to order again next time. Tuna and squid were just average and mackerel got my attention which was worth to try. Not as good as the one I had in London but considering the price I was very happy about it as not many places even have mackerel as their sushi toppings. Perhaps the rice size could be reduced because the size of toppings were quite small. Ramen was satisfied as well. Great taste of tonkotsu soup, very rich and deep flavour but the noodles were over cooked. Would’ve been much better if the noodles were less cooked and take out the corn as they just ruin the taste and rather put beansprout or eggs. However I would still order it again next time. Unagi don was not too bad but could’ve been better. Quality of rice wasn’t perfect and put too much sauce as they got too salty at the end. Eel itself was soft and cooked well but should’ve cut before it’s served because I was struggling to divide into smaller pieces. Wouldn’t really order again considering the price. Very disappointed for the fact that they still use disposable plates and cutlery even though I was eating in. At least should’ve gave me proper big spoon for the ramen noodles and plates rather than using lid of takeaway box. Overall it was okay and willing to visit again to have some noodles and rolls. At the end of the meal they gave us korean seaweed snack and I think it’s a good idea so much appreciate that kind of overwhelming service.

Very much a tiny hole in the wall, the staff were lovely, the Sushi was fresh tasting; we had a bento box, there was also a good choice for the bubble teas. One of the gentleman gave my daughter a pack of snack seaweed as a gift which she loved, a great visit and will definitely go back for a quick bite.

Best Japanese restaurant in Cambridge! THE restaurant if me and my girlfriend ever fancy Japanese food. Cozy environment and very welcoming as always. Both the taste and portion of the food are far beyond average. Look at the salmon sashimi! About the same price but twice the size than other restaurants, so a worth try definitely. A side note, do remember to bring cash with you.

Good place for sushi and bubble tea, reasonably priced considering the quality. The ramen was a good portion, though I would consider the sushi the ‘main event’ as Tokoko

A must go. Tonkotsu Ramen 10/10. Just perfect, authentic and delicious. Try adding to it black pepper or the Japanese mix of 7 spices that you will have to ask the staff to bring it to the table. Fried gyozas, delicious with the proper gyoza sauce. Fresh and tasteful delicious sushi with wasabi served apart so you can add as much as you want. The staff is very gentle, hard-working and kind.

Came here quite a few times for sushi before the pandemic and it was nice. Went there today and the decor seemed a little different -mainly without the cuddly toys. It was still nice and cosy. I ordered an eel don as I wanted something warm and it was really delicious. If I had to be picky, a few grains of rice were quite hard/dry. Not sure if it's because of Covid, chopsticks and bowl were plastic. Would be nice to have proper tableware.

Small eatery place, friendly & helpful staff, fresh food cooked/prepared on site, loved the soupy noodles, not too sure about the sauce which came with the rice, it's an individual preference really. To be fair, should try a few more times and other menu. Overall, it was a good experience.

I fancied Katsu curry for dinner. Ideally from an independent outlet. Found Tokoko on tripadvisor. I was not disappointed, very tasty! I’ll be back.

Over priced for very small portions and the food really wasn't that good

delivery: weird that total cost is higher going direct than through just eat, you'd think they would appreciate you saving them just eats cut... food seemed alright although i expect it would have been better suited as eat in rather than takeout

Stale rice and overall very poor poke bowls. For 14£ I'd expect something nicer.

Yummy n tasty sushi very thick cut sashimi

We dined in this evening and we enjoyed every dish we tried. We had everything from the signature Phoenix rolls, to the Tuna Sashimi, Octopus Nigiri, Gyoza, and rolls with eel, tempura prawn and spicy salmon, as well as the Flying Fish Gunkan, with a red bean dorayaki for dessert. It was a fantastic experience and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We would definitely return 🤩

There is no better authentic Japanese anywhere in Cambridge. I crave Tokoko daily and it takes serious self control to only eat here once a month. Pick up some Tokoko today and see what I mean!

C'est notre 1 ère commande on c'est fait livré c'est arrivé dans les délais tous étaient très chaud, j'ai été surprise de la quantité des plats, je n'ai pas pu fini mon riz curry crevettes car je n'avais plus faim. Je suis agréablement surprise et on recommandera. This is our 1st order, we used the delivery, it arrived on time all were very hot, I was surprised at the quantity of the dishes, I could not finish my shrimp curry rice because I was no longer hungry. I am pleasantly surprised and we will recommend.

Amazing sushi! Small for dining in but worth it!

We were staying round the corner in an AirBnB and fancied something bit different for our takeaway for dinner. We've been to Japan and seeing that there were Japanese people eating at Tokoko we thought it looked good...we were right! Lovely friendly service and absolutely delicious food, the Tonkotsu Ramen broth was excellent the belly pork was cooked beautifully. The best Teriyaki pork donburi my husband has ever tasted and really lovely sushi, gyoza and tempura prawns. We will definitely go back next time we're in Cambridge!

Ordered takeaway for the second time today from Tokoko and I have to say that both times they've been excellent! I think I've found my new favourite sushi place in Cambridge 😄

Dine in today. I was amazed by the freshness and quality of the food served as well as the friendliness of the staff. They gave good advice on food choices. I particularly enjoyed the bubble tea, it is one of the best I've had. The young man who made it was professional and friendly. I would definitely come back soon. I highly recommend this place.

Highly recommend this place! I tried Tokoko for the first time this week and the food was amazing, definitely recommend trying the Spicy Salmon Poke Bowl and the Golden Crispy Duck Roll such an incredibly filling and wholesome meal perfect for the hot weather! Staff were also super friendly and gave great customer service~ Definitely will come back again!

I highly recommend Tokoko when craving sushi. You can tell the owner really cares and looks after his customers and the quality of food and service given. For those like me who dont like Papaya a lot I still recommend trying the Papaya Milk Tea as I tried my friends and it was really good. Another highly item on the menu I would recommend is 2014 - Golden Crispy Duck Roll as its just a perfect harmony of textures in your mouth.

Delicious food good portion sizes

I'm 100% a returning customer to this lovely place. First of all the customer service is always top class. We feel welcomed and valued all the time. On top of this, the quality of food never disappointed us. Delicious food for a good value. Absolutely recommended!

Been coming here since it was in a different name, not often and I’ve always ordered the same thing on the menu, salmon avocado inside out roll and tempura prawn. It gets smaller and smaller or maybe my mouth is getting too big. Everything is quite off and not as fresh. Price has gone up too so I don’t know what happened.
