WT's Sports Bar in Cambridge

Really nice place, very welcoming. Plenty of tables, everything seemed well stocked. Also very reasonably priced. Had a few games of English pool, no issues with the table which is a huge plus! Will return for sure.

Used to be good, now it's a bit of a grubby dive. Don't bother with the juke box, chances are they'll skip it anyway.

Please, enforce no vaping policy. A lot of people do vape and it stinks very badly

No food so can't score it. Big club that should be absolutely heaving...but....dead.....staff were sooo nice and friendly tho.....that alone made me stay for a few more drinks

Hadn't been to the place for 20 years & was really looking forward to playing some American pool! Staff were super friendly & good atmosphere, HOWEVER....the tables were appalling, the cloths hadn't been replaced in 20 yrs, super slow & the pockets were just as bad! Come on guys this is your core product, spend some bloody money on your product & keep your customers happy?!

WTs has been a key part of pool and snooker in Cambridge for the 15 years or so I’ve been a customer. Lately it’s taken a sharp turn for the worse - most of the staff can’t wait to finish and will lock the door an hour or more ahead of closing. The tables are nowhere near the quality they used to be - the pool tables you can access (a couple are privately owned and unavailable) are slow, stained or off level, the snooker tables each have their own issues (one has a shattered area of slate on the baulk line, another has torn cloth and broken pockets). One side of the building stinks of the toilets. I know one or two of the staff really do care about this place. I believe Mickey does. It’s a shame to see it in such a state.

Great place to play snooker. Good quality balls, tables and ques. Gets quite busy during peak times and can lead to waiting for table availability but it is great. Good beer and venue for socialising as well as pool, 8 ball and snooker.

Nice place to play snooker. Has a lot of British pool and American pool tables and a poker section. Some of the snooker tables were a bit worn but at least they didn’t roll off. Staff were friendly and tables cost me about £20 for 3 hours which I thought was reasonable. Parking close by on the Adam and Eve car park was very cheap, bearing in mind it was a week night. Would definitely go again.

Pretty cheeky to ask two clearly sober people on a dead Monday evening "you arnt going to start a fight are you" when trying to sign in for a few games of pool and then denying access because you clearly didn't like the look of us having different accents from you. Not impressed and will warn others from Scotland to avoid your establishment. Hope you remain as quiet and you looked this evening. Won't be long before you shut down if this is the way you continue to treat new potential customers👌👍

Plenty of tables, change machine, nice modern bar

While you do need a membership (£10 for life or free for students) the staff are very nice and if they’re not busy they really take an interest in the Uni life with the students. Pools tables are fairly nice. Not the best I’ve seen but they work perfectly and have been re-clothed fairly recently. They have a jukebox which anyone can request a song on for free but it does have a limited number of songs. When major sporting events are on they have large projector screens that can be seen from almost everywhere in there. Drinks are fairly cheap and the pool is £1 for 8 minutes so depending on how fast you can get through a game can work out better value than pay per game ones. If you need cash for them there are note to pound coin converter machines and (I think) they offer cash back (apologies if I’m wrong on that). Overall a very nice place that is well located

Drinks are expensive and you don't get very much alcohol in the drinks with mixer and the shot glasses are smaller than standard but it has a nice atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and the place is kept well

Good place to play pool and chill

We were looking for a good place to watch a football game… despite the place being pretty much empty, we were told: “You must be a member, membership is £10 per head for life”… just a ripoff for non locals… stay away!

Was denied entry simply because me and my brother are people of colour. Said there wasn't any spare tables even tho there were several and lied to us about closing times in order to deny us entry. Place was full of old white skinheads and you'd probably get a letter bomb through your house if you looked at them wrong. 1/10 Definitely avoid if you're a minority

The best sports bar in the UK. I learned the American pool and the English pool there in 2014. Great memories. Highly recommend!

Dive bar, if you’re not a member the ex-con bartender will look down on you as if you’ve committed the crimes he probably has - avoid at all costs.

Good venue for snooker and they also have poker nights. Generally good but tables not always perfect. Friendly staff who helped me out when I left my cue extension there. Quite lively sometimes.

Great pool and snooker but drinks a bit expensive

We arrived as a group having pre reserved and had a great afternoon’s entertainment playing pool for the afternoon. The bar staff and manager kept us charged regularly with beer and the atmosphere friendly. If I am back to Cambridge again I would be sure to drop in again. Thanks for the hospitality

I am a student who goes and plays poker there and for poker and snooker the place is decent (the people aren't) but its the best you can hope for especially for the free-roll. If you're looking for a night out or a place which isn't filled with lonely men who are in their 40's+ then steer clear from here. I have been quite literally threatened with violence for just looking at someone the wrong way and yes it's filled with not exactly the creme of society to say the least... However if fat, scruffy and very uncouth men with loads of tattoos is your thing then this is the place for you! xd

Like a Jason Roy test innings, this place is unreliable and doesn’t last long. Turned up two hours before close of play and was denied entry. York’s 153rd best snooker player had travelled a long way to grace the baize and lost his head when he wasn’t allowed in.

Really enjoyed an afternoon playing pool here. The beer is cheap and the atmosphere is great, it makes it feel quite like a secret club that not many people know about. There's no charge for the pool itself, you pay for the lighting above the table, so if you're fast, you can get good money's worth out of the time spent there. If you're slow at playing and take your time, it might be worth playing somewhere else as you may get frustrated at the expense of paying for the lights.

Cheap little bar but with awesome selection of pool and snooker tables. Highly recommend the toasties! You have to be a member to join and play (students can get a free membership) good selection of alcoholic and soft drinks with friendly staff and good music :)

Some great tables some terrible ones...get good and play on a great 1. Love the toasties....but...they need to be more generous with the sauce and get some heinze in

It's a nice place for a drink and a bit of pool and sooner but the table cloths are old and in desperate need of replacement, the tables require tou put a £1 for every 10 minutes which is highly expensive considering they don't invest on new equipment quite frankly does not compete with Rileys or similar players in the industry!

Really lovely bar staff, reasonable prices on items such as pitchers though individual drinks are quite expensive as are the table prices for snooker and pool. The facilities are not great but adequate. Very cool that they have poker tournaments too. Membership is 10 pounds for a year but only really stops you paying the guest fee. It is always a good night out though with mates.

MEMBERS ONLY!!! Thought I would drop in at noon for a pint and watch some of the local talent before heading to Gatwick to fly home to Canada. Upon arriving I noticed sign that guests must be signed in by members. I asked the bartender if he would sign me in (which has worked everywhere else I have been). He said you can buy a membership. I told him I was going home to Canada that evening. He said "Sorry, cheers!".

It was a nice experience with good facilities, however when I go to play snooker I like to have peace and quiet and that was not going to be found here!

Love the place, have had many good nights there, but recently people have been verbally abusive over our choice of music, including a couple of the staff. We're paying to use the jukebox just like anybody else and sometimes need a break from listening to the same handful of radio songs on repeat.

Great sports bar. Loads of pool and snooker tables. Drinks are extremely reasonably priced and I love the jukebox. Usually playing football rugby or racing during the day, and on projected for big games. Worth a visit for any sport/beer fan

A good place if you're into playing pool or casino games while having a beer. Not a place I would go to if you wanna just sit and chill, but definitely recommended if you wanna get some competition goin between friends! It's a bit pricey for what it is, but I think that's to be expected of a place like this.

You have billards, poker's tournament, football to watch and drinks. Not too bad.

LADIES: AVOID AT ALL COSTS. They're totally fine with women being sexually assaulted. So, they won't be seeing my coin again!

The billiard tables are dated, orherwise a really nice place.

Free lifetime membership if you are a student (firms are only available during the week day-time as far as I'm aware though) Drinks are fairly reasonably priced To get in you have to go up up a set of stairs, pretty sure there's no lift so not great for disabled patrons

I've been a member and a customer here for years, I keep coming back because the staff are excellent, the atmosphere is always good and let's be honest, pool/snooker, poker, jukebox tunes and reasonably priced drinks are just about everyone's cup of tea. They also do some pretty decent toasters if you're peckish.

Cheap beer if happy hour, very nice pool tables and the staff is very good. Although sometimes it looked like the beer(my choice as poison) was not very good served, it always meets my minimum standard as a beer enthusiastic fellow

Always a good night with good beer. Recommended for those who want a nice evening playing some English/American pool, Snooker or Poker. The bar also shows regular sports games on its many screens and two projectors, very enjoyable atmosphere.
