Holly is the loveliest bartender there is and we always come here for a great time!

Really pleasant pub, lots of space and well appointed. Drinks were okay pricewise and served by friendly staff. Good selection and a nice place to watch sports.

We hit the jackpot! Walked in and Andy greetes us right away. He was so patient as we tried to decide what to eat and drink. In the end, we opted for his recommendations: - Crispy battered cod goujons - Battered hammoumi - Crispy smashed potatoes Can not decide on a favorite! Everything was delicious. Perfect playea to share over a pint of Old Mout Cider and a passion fruit martini! We’ll be back!

Great place! Good food, nice vibes, variety of beers and drinks. A particular highlight is the chicken & halloumi platter. Dom at the bar was super nice and helpful!

First time trying this pub as I’m new to Cambridge. Safe to say I was so pleased with the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff here. Freya especially made me feel so welcome and recommended me some drinks to try! Such a great place I would definitely recommend to a friend. 🥂🍔

We had a pleasant lunch here (nachos and refreshing cider). However, had I been to the bathroom first I would not have touched the food. The sanitary bins were overflowing, one toilet was absolutely filthy and the floor littered with paper towels - which were also squashed behind the doors. I hate to think when they were last cleaned. We had already noticed that the ceiling vents downstairs were clogged with dirt which was hanging down over tables. Very disappointing - I hope the kitchen is MUCH cleaner.

This is a conditional score. On 03/04/24 all of the male toilets were unavailable on either side due to being out of order. That was very inconvenient. Once I get back to the pub I'll reinspect the facilities and will update the score. But for now, giving a low score is the only way to express my frustration and disappointment with being unable to access a facility because of being one gender over another.

Had a really nice time! We were a bit early for our booking but that was not a problem as we were seated very soon. Although they didn't have some of the dishes on menu on that day, the steak was delicious and the pie really worths trying it! The triple-cooked chips is a cool idea as a side. Lui provided a great service! We are definitely coming back!

Really disappointed by the food here. Went for a night out with friends, arrived quite late so kitchen closing soon. Ordered a flatbread with houmous as thought this would be quick and easy. It came and was a very pitiful 4 small pieces of flatbread with a spoonful of houmous. £5.75 for something so small and unfilling. Really disappointing and left me very hungry! 😬

Stopped in for beers while visiting Cambridge. Dominic(server) was quick to help with excellent drink recommendations. He is such a pleasant bartender, he offered such great conversation that we decided to say and enjoy a good meal and great vibes

Nice sports bar. Plenty of large screens for all the major sporting events. When I was there it looked like you can also book/reserve tables. There's also a large screen outside with plenty of seating.

Lovely big venue the door staff are professional Michelle who was in the garden area dealt with an underage group of boys very professionally and she was very nice well mannered so was the manger with blonde hair

Went to play shuffle board and pool here, they have a wide selection of draft lager and beer available. Would definitely check it out if you are in the area. The staff are so friendly, we had Scott serve us and he was more than helpful aswell as cheerful.

One of my favourite pubs in Cambs. The menu has been pleasantly renewed and the staff is very friendly. Scott greeted us getting in the pub and was extra attentive making sure everything was going well during our visit. Atmosphere feels calm and cosy, always a great spot to meetup with friends. Highly recomment.

Went for team celebration with 20 people, service was too slow and non-cooperative. Manager refused to check if certain contents are present in the food or if chef can customise. Despite calling them 3 times and giving them number of people in party much in advance, most of the food on the menu was not available, and they dint bother to let us know when we got in or gave us that information on phone when i called them an hour before to check if everything is fine. Staff refused to come to table and explain to people what is not available so that people could decide and order quickly, we were 20 people pub was not so busy when we got in, so they could have helped to make event special. All we got was repeated rude apology which was useless.

This was my third visit & want badly to have a good experience here, but each time has been a bit of a let down. Severely overpriced. A great venue hindered by poor management, slow service and expensive but rather standard food and drink. £15 for a burger with a small scattering of french fries (pictured). This was commented on at the time when asked. To rub salt into the wound, the bar staff were unable to honour a Green King offer that was available on the app. There are far better options within a short walk. This was my third visit & want badly to have a good experience here, but each time has been a bit of a let down. It was clear the staff were doing the best in the situation given, so no criticism on this front.

Wouldn’t recommend. 1. We’d made a reservation but the staff told us they didn’t have our booking, even after showing them our confirmation. Staff didn’t give two hoots, shrugged shoulders and went back to doing nothing behind the bar. 2. Staff generally quite ignorant, as if you ordering something is too much effort for them. Some were on their phones behind the bar and didn’t serve even though there were clearly people waiting. That said, one lady upstairs was phenomenal - sadly didn’t get her name but she couldn’t do enough for us. 3. They served our passion fruit martinis in two different glasses, one clearly much smaller than the other. We were brushed off when we questioned it. Total rip off. 4. Food was uninspiring and all just fried stuff. Tasted bland and came out cold. Two stars are for: Dog friendly Vegetarian options (albeit not great) Service from the one fantastic lady who truly showed up the rest of the team

I'm not normally one to write bad reviews for places but this is my second bad experience getting food here (out of 3). The first time I ordered the salmon which was so overcooked it was like eating a pencil eraser, this was a couple years ago though so perhaps they've improved it. This time we had poor service and poor food; with one rude bartender (who looks like a knock off Mr. Beast, wearing a somewhat ironic "Perfectly Executed" T-shirt considering our experience of his service), and one polite bartender who, had we only had him, probably would have raised the service to a 4-star even with the poor app experience. If you're going for drinks, it's fine as long as you're ordering from the bar and not the app. Our experience: The place was relatively busy but not packed. We ordered food and drinks via the app. After about 45 minutes to an hour, 2 out of 7 drinks were finally served, none of our drinks were complex cocktails, just beers and one spirit + mixer. Another 15 or so minutes 4/11 dishes were served, a mixture of 2 starters and 2 mains. When we asked about the other drinks, the bartender who was serving us basically made it sound like it was our fault we ordered via the app as it printed out the drinks poorly despite nowhere saying this and them being available via the app. He then made it sound like he could do us a favour by getting us our drinks (that we've already paid for), but also suggesting that we go up and order our drinks again (defeating the purpose of using the app in the first place). We asked if he could just serve us our drinks. During the next 5-10 minutes, the bartender who spoke with us before seemed to be making no effort with our drinks, and at no point chose to mention that he was unable to. Instead, what what we saw was him serving food and chatting with groups of exclusively young attractive women. Later, another bartender comes over with 3 more starters (one of which was for someone who had already had his main). He actually seemed genuinely apologetic and explained the situation again, before saying he'll make sure we get our drinks. We actually saw him going through our order and dealing with the drinks (showing it was possible and bartender 1 had chosen not to do so), before coming back and serving our drinks to us before chasing up after our food, even bringing us some extra fries while we waited. Almost 2 hours after we had ordered we finally got the rest of our food. Also, as I've not mentioned the food yet: the fried chicken starter and steamed bao buns we both cold (below lukewarm) and the bun in particular was undercooked somehow? The fries were good, but the burger was similarly not particularly warm. To staff: Please, remove drinks from your app if it can't reliably handle it. After our order was messed up, if you know our table number, please make a pre-emptive effort to get our orders again instead of waiting for us to grow impatient, I've had this happen at other places and it leaves the experience far more positive. Also, and I feel like I shouldn't have to say this but one of your staff members doesn't seem to know, please don't pretend you're going to try to make an effort when you're not going to. That interaction was probably the one that left the most sour taste in our mouths and, in all honesty, is probably the primary reason for my review, there are bad days and bad things happen but that interaction was fully in your control. It seems like your system doesn't keep track of what orders you've actually served or not (we were told orders could be "lost" by bartender 1). When bartender 2 came along with our drinks he also brought a repeat of the drinks we had already been served. The only reason we didn't get them for free was because we mentioned we already received those drinks but would pay for the new ones anyway.
