Really enjoyed my night here, was made even more enjoyable by the lovely staff - namely Lola, even though I heard it was one of her first shifts!

Came in recently as visiting Cambridge for the first time and Lola was my server and was so lovely and helpful and recommended us to what food to get and also suggested some other things to do around Cambridge! Amazing staff in general drinks and food we’re great friends atmosphere

Great time in grain and hop today, Jadon provided great customer service making us all feel very welcome and suggested good drinks.

Went here on a Friday at 7 and sat downstairs and the music and tv were way too loud! You couldn’t hear what the person next to you was saying and we ended up leaving early and going somewhere else. It’s a shame because otherwise the food/atmosphere is nice.

Came here the other day and the bartender Max was absolutely amazing. Stellar knowledge of all things drinking and absolutely superb service. Would come again.

Poor staff. Said i was rude because i asked them why they were charging £5 per person to play darts. Place could be great it staff chilled out a bit.

Always a solid choice when in Cambridge - feel i'd spend a lot of time there if it was more on my doorstep. Solid choice on draught for my preference - only let down was the cooler was off on one side so ended up with warm pints! However, once noticed, was rectified with a re-pour from working tap (bonus points for service). Food is reasonably good for price, feel it's what most would expect - enjoy that they have good variety and vegetarian choices for those who need them. Always something different on every day of the week. Upstairs space looks great for private functions. Easily seen if approaching from Parkside, however, easily missed if on regent street side.

Only ever been here for a late afternoon bite to eat and drink. Firstly they do 0% Guinness ✅ Relaxed atmosphere that has a student vibe. Pool tables down stairs and really friendly staff. We tend to sit up stairs where our toddler will have a run around and it’s generally quieter that suits us. Food is really good. I recently had the steak pie which was one of the best I’ve had.

Greene King Pub Trying to write reviews for all of the Cambridge pubs therefore entered this restaurant. I thought this is my 4th Greene King pub review. I found that the sunday roast of Greene King pubs have the very similar potatoes and meat. Probably everything is from the same supplier. Didn't expect the steak sandwich was not hot. I had ordered a similar sandwich from other (non Greene King) pub before, it was a toasted sandwich. I should have asked if it's hot or cold before making this order. My bad. But the sandwich tasted nice. With a generous amount of fillings and sides for a reasonable price. But personally I prefer hot food for such a cold day. The Sunday roast was very similar to other Greene King pub. Relieved that the beef tasted okay, without strange taste or smell. The vegetables were not overcooked either. The pub locates at the quiet side of Cambridge town centre. It's easily being overlooked. So I think it is a good place for private parties. Clean and open restaurant with 2 TVs downstairs.

Went for the pub quiz, Lucy had amazing enthusiasm and we won because of her! Also served Stella pints and gin will absolutely visit again

I Had a wonderful time celebrating with friends here! The atmosphere was brilliant, and the staff were really friendly! In particular Flick (I think) who spent a little time to recommend drinks and serve us! 😃 I will be back again and next time, I'll try the shuffleboard and play a bit of pool. I would really recommend visiting!

I've visited a fair few of Greene Kings pubs in the Bury area but was excited to try Grain & Hop as it seemed like a more modern concept. While the menu is the same, the place has a really nice atmosphere. Went there for a couple of drinks on Saturday. All the staff seemed friendly and happy, especially Flick who was serving us behind the bar downstairs.

I had the best time there! Cracking atmosphere. I was served by Flick (I think that's what she said) who went above and beyond. Will definitely go again.

Great pub/bar, but have the tendency to close the upstairs when the football is on, which causes carnage downstairs. Not ideal.

Now why would you shut the upstairs with all the football tvs at half 5 on a Saturday night

Went for some leaving drinks for a friend and Chris was very chatty and lovely!

The food was not great, mens toilets were overflowing , we were sat in the middle of aload of lads watching football most were behaved, one tried to grab my brother inlaws desert, never again.

Took 30 mins to get a bloody order of squid!! Came out cold. 🥶

Not really a sports bar, it shows a couple of sports on the telly but hasn't got the atmosphere of a sports bar. They sell alcohol free Guinness for £5.30 which is day light robbery even for Cambridge. The food was high price and small plates

I never really drink to be honest, I met this young man who had shared interest in his support for rangers football club. That made me stay and consume more whiskey and honestly that was the best new years of my life. Fraser is the best!

Customer service?!?! The absolute best, the one man who stuck out to me the most was Fraser. His knowledge of the extensive alcoholic drink inventory was great. Grain and hop is my only safe haven

The place ok, food ok but to sit having a meal in the middle of loads of people watching football is wrong, one man tried to take some of brother inlaws desert. We finished food as quick as possible and got out, tiolets over flowing. Service excellent and staff friendly but sorry Would by pass next time. Upstairs tables looked better.

Love watching sport here, lots of screens and great atmosphere. So many beers to choose from and they rotate them all the time. It’s been a while but my faverate is the Bambino!
