We had a Christmas function for 25 people last night. The food was delicious and the service was excellent . It was so nice to go to a friendly place , without a big corporate feel. We walked in to a pretty bar with a roaring fire, and then could make our way to the restaurant . We were not rushed even though they must have had a timetable to adhere to . Excellent value for money, attentive staff with a welcoming feel Thank you

As good as the reviews say. Food is delicious and the staff are friendly. I opted for the big breakfast and an Americano coffee. Both were excellent, with the presentation on the plate very mouthwatering. Place gets busy. I saw one table was reserved while I was there. Place seems pet friendly, but dogs should be well-behaved as there is limited space. I will be back for more food!

We visited the centre and tea rooms on a whim on a random Sunday. Hoping to find a gift for my rail-enthusiast dad, we managed just that and so much more. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by a lovely lady who took the time to show us around the building and gave us a tour of the ticket office. She was so very knowledgeable and really friendly, answering our questions and making sure we had a great experience. We stayed for a spot of lunch, which was lovely and great value for money. I managed to get one of the calendars made by one of the staff, which was an extra special present and great to hear the stories of the photos he'd taken which were in the calendar. We'd definitely recommend the centre and tea rooms to anybody looking to spend a couple of hours.

I went for lunch and had a goats cheese salad . It was delicious and massive! I didnât know whether to eat it or climb it ! I thoroughly enjoyed it and was absolutely stuffed by the time I left . They were also really accommodating to be allergies and the staff were charming .

Amazing afternoon tea. A real treat with fantastic service aswell. I loved that you get given to start with rolls and we were given fritters but it could be sauasage rolls (we were told they there would be sausage rolls) the fritters were nice, a bit different. Then afterwards you get served by silver service to choose your sandwiches. Lots of choice to choose from, 6 different filling. Then you get the stand with the scones and deserts. All delicious. They provided boxes to take away the ones you can't eat because your full. There is a list of different teas with a large variety including lemon and ginger. I highly recommend this afternoon tea. I was also spoilt by the chef with writing Happy 50th Birthday in chocolate on a plate, that was a nice touch, thank you Pontlands.
