The best restaurants in East of England

Had no issues previously, but this time I noticed that they took strawberries straight from the pack, cut them and put on my bubble waffle unwashed. When I pointed it out I was told that's the way they always do. I removed them before eating, but will keep an eye in the future. Waffle was still good 🫡

Absolutely love this place. I have been lucky enough to go twice this month and each the time the staff and food were amazing. First time was with a group of around 15 and second time group of 8 and everyone really enjoyed their food and said they would go back. Family fun, fresh food.

Lots of people having meals on a Thursday evening, & a wide choice of ales, lagers & ciders for the drinkers.

Very clean place with friendly staff. A few chips to eat while you're waiting for the food is a great touch. I had fish and chips, good sized portions. Both chips and fish were a little over greasy for my preference compared to others I've had. Cash only.

A great traditional pub. Open every day until late. Large car park. Two real ales on when I visited. Different areas of the pub have different vibes.

Very poor service overall. Waited a long 55 minutes for brunch, arrived with a few slices of mushroom and tatty scraps of tomato, no avocado ( was informed they didn't have any avocado at start) Partner asked for sugar wasn't brought over so had to go to counter to ask for it, drink ordered not brought over with other drink .... had to ask for it ...... unlimited brunch was a pretty dire looking offering tbh. No apologies for the waits or forgotten items ....

Great value, location and quality cafe. Right on the beach with an outdoor seating area and friendly staff. They even offer puppachino drinks for dogs!

Horrible coffee. Toilets absolutely 🤮 disgusting, if you saw toilets before ordering drinks or food you would never entertain the place. Look at the photos of the disgusting toilets. When were these last cleaned hygiene should be upper most 🤮🤮🤮🤮 this was first thing on opening and toilets had not been checked and no check list on the wall either. Sorry can not come back it was just too bad.

Very disappointing roast dinner on Sunday 26th may for 3 people: it was Luke warm and the lamb was awful no decent slices it was like the end of the joint , when mentioned to the waitress she advised they were short staffed, did take off 20% which worked out £14 which I was still not happy with as didn’t eat even half but left it at that. Never again.

Delivery so 2.5 hours, staff at the shop were great, but the whole delivery was a nightmare. Driver sat in the car for 4 minutes in the phone before even coming to the door. Not the restaurants fault mind!

after 40 mile cycling this was a very welcome stop for lunch - fantastic men, location and service . Thank you Paddy for your warm welcome and to allow me to charge my bike ready for the next 40 miles ! pleased to say we completed the ride to Aldeburgh !

I've wanted to try this restaurant for a long time, and although I haven't gotten to the restaurant proper, I had beers with a friend on their outside tables on one of the first warmish nights of the year, and it was a lovely experience. The outside tables are great for some mates catching up, and the beers are really good: carefully chosen craft beers from Poland, served just right. Very friendly wait staff, too!
