The best restaurants in East of England

Amazing food, superb service and lovely atmosphere. My partner and I regularly go in for lunch, this is a real gem of Colchester.

Nice pub. Friendly staff and great measure. Good price for drinks and ample parking.

A great traditional pub. Open every day until late. Large car park. Two real ales on when I visited. Different areas of the pub have different vibes.

Stayed here for one night, beautiful room with lots of nice little touches. Complimentary breakfast was super tasty and everybody was really friendly, would come again.

Lovely old pub full of character with old oak beams and trinkets. Food was lovely, beer top notch and even friendly locals, will be back!

Ordered from Deliveroo After waiting an hour, I rang the restaurant for them to tell me they hadn’t even started on the order yet Waited another hour for it to be Delivered not before getting a call from the driver to say they couldn’t find my address The food was cold the time it got here and the drinks were missing were definitely not recommend !

Went for Sunday roast. Had the turkey and the very best apple pie with custard. Really enjoyed it. Plenty of everything. Good service with a smile. Good value for money. Lovely atmosphere. Will definitely go again.

Absolutely love this place. I have been lucky enough to go twice this month and each the time the staff and food were amazing. First time was with a group of around 15 and second time group of 8 and everyone really enjoyed their food and said they would go back. Family fun, fresh food.

Brilliant for understanding food intolerances and allergies. Very helpful owner and staff who had a good understanding of potential food issues. Had a lovely gluten free crepe with fruit. Very accommodating and kind. It made such a nice change to be able to eat freely from the menu.

I am not sure where to start but this was the dirtiest restaurant l have provably ever been to. Cutlery was dirty , my husband had to clean the. With the napkin. When we walked in the small in the restaurant was not great. We had portion of chips to share and some drinks. Chips were under average. Toilets were disgusting... not sure what to say really , it's just a place that shpuld close down because of the hygiene standards. We will not come back

Great breakfast and great price. What a cafe should be. Ordered a full English and wasn't disappointed. Service was friendly and quick despite the cafe being very busy. Don't think this cafe can be beaten in Diss. Will definitely be visiting again.

Had a takeaway order of haddock goujons and gefilte fish balls for a family of six. There was enough for two meals. All have gone with no waste. Excellent.
