Las Vegas Fish & Chips in Southend-on-Sea

In the area and fancied a bit of fish and chips so after a walk along the front I chose to pop in here. Found a table near the back and chose what I was going to have before heading down to place my order. Two members of staff on and the younger of the two served me, firstly apologising as it was table service and she didn’t realise I was ready to order. To be fair to her I’d only been sat less than a minute. She was really happy in her work, not false happy, really pleasant and welcoming. She was also very chatty when she brought over my food. She’s a credit to this business. The food was good, a decent price and I left full and happy. What more do ya need on a cold Tuesday night in November?

Our first visit to this restaurant and probably our last . There must have been a staff shortage on the day of our visit as service and the cleaning of tables was painfully slow.The burgers for the children were fine,the cod was good but the rock eel was greasy, small and not very fresh .The hot drinks were poor including a watery hot chocolate. No enquiry made to see if everything was correct and to our liking. Would not recommend.

We was greeted with amazing customer service, we had a choice where to sit and was ask to call over when ready... when coming to order the lady was very polite and it was really quick service too, when the food came it looked amazing the presentation was lovely and the first bite to the end was perfection i enjoyed every single minute of it I didn't want it to end amazing portion for the price and it made me wanting more and for the price i would've, the place was lovely the service was amazing the food was delightful I was made very welcome if I didn't live so far I would be in there everyday .... 1 million stars for this amazing place ..

My partner and I chose here due to the signage outside. The service was good. You have to pay before u eat. They accept cash and card. The meal was nice. . I had a large cod, chips, and a mug of tea. The fish was meaty and plentiful. The chips were a little disappointing. My partner had 2 fish cakes, chips, and mushy peas with a mug of tea. She again said nice meal but chips were disappointing. With other alternatives around, the quality of chips needs improvement. However, clean restaurant and pleasant staff.

Lovely place to grab a bite to eat. Reasonable pricing like most you find on a seafront. Great people and service.

We came from London for a day trip and found this place to be very friendly. Excellent service & Fish & Chips was awesome too.

Found this fish and chip seated /takeaway whilst on our last day of a weekend trip. It was early 11.30 ish but was open and were invited in to choose a table. The lady serving was lovely, polite and friendly. We ordered and were not disappointed. We had cod, chips and mushy peas and a mug of tea deal , well worth the money. The fish was beautiful white fresh , the batter was light and crispy, the chips amazing and the mushy peas very tasty indeed, all cooked to order. We would recommend this place, it was clean and inviting. We were very satisfied and would definitely go there again .Thank you.

Very good restaurant serving excellent fish and chips We eat here on Halloween weekend and the area was teeming with visitors. There were queues of 30 or more waiting for take away but inside we enjoyed unrushed courteous service without lengthy delays and first class food. The restaurant is beautifully clean and the tables were sanitised after every use. Special thanks to our lovely waitress Alyson.

We ate here today the fish was amazing really nice meal , and the waitress Alison was so friendly and helpful , will definitely be back .

Enjoyed a lovely meal as always today , however, found the Manager very abrupt and rude and when spoken to everything seemed too much trouble!!The waiting staff I must say were lovely.Think the Manager needs to cheer up so he doesn’t scare off his customers!

Went here on Friday after a day in southend. The best cod I’ve ever eaten and the chips were really nice to. Lady that runs it was very friendly and accommodating. Looking forward to going back very soon.

We went for an evening trip in memory of my late mum who we used to take to Southend as she loved playing on the slot machines and loved fish and chips. She would have had them every day if she could. So we came across the Las Vegas Grill and was welcomed by a lovely waitress. The meal was just what we wanted and the service was excellent. Nothing was too much bother. Very warm and friendly service and the food was great. Would recommend and will return.

On a day trip we decided to stop here for fish and chips , ( when by the seaside .... ) . All Covid measures in place , restaurant clean and tidy . Haddock and chips twice , buttered roll , mugs of coffee and then a huge knickerbocker glory , ( took me back about 45 years lol ) , food delicious , hit the spot and our waitress , Allison , was an absolute delight . Will be back when the weather is warmer and hopefully the pandemic subdued .

The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming,the hygiene is absolutely amazing the staff throughly cleaned everything and even washed the floor before the next customer can be seated,the food is out of this world,the fish and scampi was so fresh,my daughter enjoyed her 1/4 pounder so much,she wanted to bring one home with her on the train.

Just along the sea front ,this chippy is a great place! To eat in or take away ,Very reasonable prices and the food was lovely and hot,and the lovely staff , makes Las Vegas a Gem ..I had the Haddock/chips special , bread and butter and tea all just over £8 (Nov 2019 prices ) .They also have a wide menu variety from pies to burgers to omelettes. Plenty of seating inside and out and extremely clean everywhere. Enjoy this great Chippy ..

I recently visited with my grandchildren for. Meal in the restaurant section. The service was excellent, friendly, helpful and quick, despite a busy Saturday before the fireworks. The fish was fresh and not at all greasy, batter crisp and chips perfectly cooked.

I love this place. Hidden little gem with fantastic staff, deliciously stunning fresh cod and chips and a clean and welcoming restaurant. Can’t wait to return.

We arrived on a really busy Saturday night and just wanted to grab a bite before the fireworks. We were seated immediately and did not have to wait long for our food which was delicious and reasonably priced. The best thing about this place is the service. So friendly and welcoming not just by our main server who was so lovely, but all we dealt with. Can’t rate this place highly enough.

We dined here today and experienced excellent service and simply gorgeous cod and chips - my plate was empty! :-) My son also loved his burger and ate every bit (he is a fussy eater so that says how nice it was). We are looking forward to returning. Thanks for a lovely meal.

We were staying in Southend for the night as we’re going to my friend’s party so we had lunch here. We sat inside as it was very windy and we were served immediately by the friendliest waitress, she advised us of offers going and was very helpful. We had haddock and cod and chips. The portions were huge and looked and tasted delicious. We would definitely go back there and recommend.

Went as a family for an afternoon out in Southend. This place is clean,friendly, good value & the food is great. Well worth a visit.

It was bright, sunny and very very cold this Sunday- with lots of places closed. So the warm welcome and great food here saved our lives. Friendly service and good value. Recommended.

We visited today after a trip to Sealife Adventure, Alison served us a lovely lunch of cod and chips with mushy peas, absolutely delicious! And my cappuccino was really tasty too, I would say the food was slightly pricey for fish and chips but it is to be expected when eating at the seafront. We also had my 1 year old with us, plenty of high chairs available and great changing facilities. Alison even advised us that in future to buy Sealife Adventure tickets on the day from nisa supermarket across the road for half price and that it’s better to park at the nightclub car park up the road rather than the Sealife Adventure car park.

We visited this restaurant today after a walk along the seafront. It was really busy but once seated the service was quick but also very friendly and helpful. We had a really lovely meal - cooked perfectly, good quality and lovely and hot. The waitress was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely make sure we visited again if in Southend for the day.

This was our second visit to this restaurant for some lunch. The restaurant has a prime position in front of the beach hence the slightly raised price. Alison our waitress was attentive, courteous and knowledgeable. The fish and chips was hot and freshly cooked. Lovely chunky potato chips. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Visited yesterday with my daughter on a day trip. We always go to the Las Vegas Fish and Chip Restaurant when in Southend-on-Sea, as we know we won't be disappointed. Great location, food and service. Waitress Alison is an asset, very friendly and helpful.

the restaurant/takeaway located on the sea front was bright clean with plenty of customers , which on a cold miserable day , was a good indication that the fish and chips would be good -- we were not disappointed , we were well looked after by our waitress and the food was freshly cooked and superb quality at a reasonable price. -- when we visit southend again we shall make sure we will eat in "las vegas"

After many years of making our way to Las Vegas on Southend sea front for one of our favourites fish chips bread and butter and a cup of tea great value. We found it was open while hubby ordered I went to the loo. I wasn’t happy at all I think the cleaner had a week off , poo splatters around the toilet bowls doors dirty floors dirty. If hubby hadn’t ordered we would have left. I did ask the waitress if it was under new management but she said no. Staff very polite and I did inform her of toilet state and to be honest the standard has dropped in my opinion disappointed sad will not be returning.

We visited as a family after a nice day in Southend. The food was very nice The lady that served us was absolutely wonderful. Friendly and polite and really couldn't do enough for us and our 18 month old baby. Thank You.

We all had lovely food from the Las Vegas fish and chips shop and it was delicious. Really hot and cooked to order. ..the best I've ever had. Can't wait to buy some more next time I'm in Southend.

Me quedé muy impresionado con el bacalao y las patatas fritas que comimos allí. No estoy dispuesto a base de pescado y normalmente no como mejor, pero cuando en Southend! ! ! Ja! Nunca he visto tan blanco y cod era precioso! El bateador era ligero y no grasienta y comí también. ! ! Las patatas fritas eran también agradables y no grasienta. La señora que nos fue muy bien y el servicio excelente! Que terminamos mi viaje de día con mi madre muy bien!

Visitar Southend por primera vez con mi madre. He pensado llevar para el día. estábamos viajando desde Londres así era de unos 1,5 horas en coche. finalmente cuando llegamos allí nos estábamos muriendo. Pedimos 2 bacalao y patatas fritas, que eran encantadores, y 2 coca colas. Nuestra camarera era preciosa y ella también era bonito! Sin duda volveremos cuando Southend es nuestro próximo destino!

Un restaurante de pescado impecable y chip en el paseo marítimo con generosas porciones de pescado de calidad y patatas fritas (y todas las otras opciones de menú que se esperaría de un buen chippie) a precios asequibles, con un equipo muy amable del personal. Opciones para niños. No puedo esperar a volver! Gracias!!!!

On a recent visit to Shoeburyness and Southend to get some fresh air after Christmas, we felt the need for some chips by the seaside. We were looking for somewhere which didn't stink of vinegar - Las Vegas delivered! We had fish and chips, garden...

We had a delightful afternoon tea here, the staff were really friendly, they were particularly welcoming to our GDP Poppy, they were genuinly interested in what we had to say about Guide Dogs, and would certainly visit again The foid was nice aswell😃

La maltratada salchichas y patatas fritas eran muy buenas, sin embargo, nos sentimos decepcionados por el tiempo que tuvimos que esperar para que nos atendieran, y luego cuánto nos esperó para nuestra comida a pesar de que el restaurante sólo tener una familia de 4. La salsa curry era horrible, lo aguachento! Usted puede apenas sabor que solo hay nada de lo que pegan las patatas fritas!

Vine aquí con mi marido y mi hija en uno de los días más calurosos este año. Esto significaba que el mar estaba muy, muy concurrido y esperábamos encontrar ningun dónde comer. Este fue el frente. Nunca había comido aquí antes, pero nos sorprendió gratamente. La comida se servía increíblemente rápido, salía bien caliente y muy buena relación calidad-precio. Todo el personal era muy amable y acogedor, y se podría decir que era una agenda apretada viajera negocio familiar británica! Era tan bonito que ver! Sin duda volveremos!

The fish in this place is just the best ever.So fresh and cooked there and then, great batter, proper chips.A must if you are anywhere in the area.Clean toilets also. Been using this place for years, and will continue to do so.
