Carluccio's - Fenwick, Colchester in Colchester

Amazing food, superb service and lovely atmosphere. My partner and I regularly go in for lunch, this is a real gem of Colchester.

This restaurant is consistently good. Today my daughter and I visited for lunch. After having an aperitif at GreyFriars (which has improved) we went to Carluccio's and had Arancini to start followed by confit duck. We also had a bottle of house red. All spot on.

Another very enjoyable lunch. Service as usual first class . Not to be missed Coffee and Hot Douughnuts filled with Pistachio Chocolate.

Very nice atmosphere, and as busy it was, Greg was always around when we needed him. Sharing antipasti with a side was good enough for 2, highly recommended! Affogato is a must try! We will be back!

I had a delightful lunch with my friend at Fenwick Carluccio's. Although we weren't very hungry, we still ordered plenty of food and a bottle of white wine. The waitress was polite and friendly, and the service was fast even during a busy lunchtime. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Thank you, Roxana (I hope I'm spelling it correctly). X

Was looking forward to some good pasta but my parpadelle with braised beef ragu was shockingly bad. The pasta was over-cooked to the point it had no flavour at all. The beef was minimal; I counted two pieces. In fact the total lack of sauce was quite a feat. The dish was so poor, I just couldn’t eat it, which isn’t like me at all. My daughter had ordered the same dish and she had the same complaint of over-cooked pasta but at least she had more sauce.. The manager removed the cost of both of our meals but despite eating at this restaurant since the opening day many years ago, the experience today has but me off returning anytime soon. How can an “authentic Italian restaurant” cook pasta so badly? My wife and son also ordered pasta dishes, and their pasta was over-cooked too. My wife’s seafood linguine lacked flavour too. Not at all like it used to taste like, and not as described on the menu. Never mind, we’ll vote with our feet and eat malware in future. Antonio Carluccio would be shocked at how bad the food has become.

Carluccios’s never fails with good Italian cuisine. Treated our daughter and grandchildren,so enjoyed the children eat for £1 . Wish we had one a bit nearer

Great lunch today- tried the new risotto di mare…delicious! Huge wild prawn 🦐 on top, beautifully cooked and delicate crab/ seafood flavoured dish. Our waiter Daniel was attentive and friendly. Great place for lunch or brunch in Colchester.

We always have a great experience here & yesterday was no exception. We were welcomed on arrival & shown to a table. Our drinks orders were taken promptly & shortly after we ordered food. We chose the tuna salad and beef ragu with (I think!) tagliatelle. Both were well presented and delicious. We also choose 2 cakes from the counter to take home for our children. The atmosphere was relaxed and the restaurant is pristine. As always, all the staff are friendly and professional. Well done and thank you 😊Just a shame the restaurant hours are constrained by the department store opening hours or this would be our go to evening dining choice too.

Visited yesterday for birthday celebration as its one of our favourites. Really good food, we had the Lasagne, but slightly disappointed that the Focaccia was served cold. Apparently you have to be there at 12 noon to get it hot which is a shame as we love it as a starter. Our regular waitress Agga(?) served us an she was as efficient and friendly as always.
