The Nourish Co. is amazing! The smoked aubergine and cashew cream cheese sandwich is absolutely delicious. Their sweet treats are to die for. Amazing rich gooey brownies, chocolate fudge cake, and the soft chewy cookies are incredible. The white chocolate and pistachio is my favourite cookie, the flavours are so well balanced. Everyone who works there is so friendly, they make you feel so welcome. I highly recommend The Nourish Co. to everyone, vegan or not, their food is amazing.

During my english studies in Colchester, i had lunch almost everyday in this small and warm restaurant. All the dishes were tasty, including the cakes (the oreo one is amazing) and the two vegan girls are very kind. I'm vegan, but all my non-vegan collegues appreciated the food. They are also close to the enviromental problems, everything is compostable and they serve the water for free in glass bottles. Honest prices. A++

I have visited the cafe a couple times and had a lovely experience but during the covid-19 lockdown I have used them more than ever before! They have been so accommodating with our early deliveries due to my Mum's barrett's oesophagus where she can't eat late in the evening! Not to mention, the food is delivered hot and tastes so fresh and scrumptious 😋. Will continue to use them throughout the lockdown and will definitely visit the cafe once life is back to normal! Thanks girlies!

Cozy and friendly place and 100% vegan <3. Had an avocado vegan cream cheese bagel, so good and filling and well seasoned. The best vegan cream cheese I have ever tried (I dont like a strong cheese flavor). Also tried their warm meal once, potato wedges and black beans, guacamole etc, also very nice with a home cooked feel. Only drawback is that all cutlery and plates are single-use, even though they are biodegradable I would have wished for reusable dishes.

I ate here today. The two young ladies behind the counter were lovely. Sadly ALL the tasty-sounding specials were sold out so I got a standard menu item, the sourdough bagel with roasted aubergine, cashew cream cheese and avo. The result was very tasty but I was disappointed at the very thin amount of sliced aubergine and how small the bagel is for £5. As a native New Yorker it was kind of offensive haha. But the desserts are EXCELLENT. I got two protein balls, a brownie and a chocolate oat cookie. All were quite tasty without being overtly sweet.

Great place, warm, very friendly, calm atmosphere, an asset to the street. Good - Lots of plants. Wide variety of food selection of savoury and sweet. Fair prices for vegan food. Home made food. Amazing vegan coffee. The vegan sausage rolls are better than the Greggs vegan one. Bad - Only small amount of seating, wooden bench shared with another table is uneven and a little uncomfortable, still a fantastic place.

I was really looking forward to visiting this cafe today. I had heard good reviews. I was sorely disappointed :( As we arrived the small cafe was dark and appeared closed, but on closer inspection we could see a few people sat on the couple of tables so we went in. There is a large food preparation area and counter and a very few tables, there were about 5 people in the cafe and no one at the counter as we walked in and only one member of staff. We approached the counter and looked at the menu. The server didn’t even look at us. They were busy preparing some food At the back of the kitchen, their back to the counter... two more groups joined the queue behind us. Still the server did not so much as look up or over at us. We were not acknowledged at all... After an awkward few minutes, we decided to leave and eat elsewhere. Perhaps I’ll try on another day when there is more than one staff member working.

Even before it moved location when it was wedge in next to the music shop like platform 9 3/4 it was difficult but its a bigger shop better location and the signage lets it down. I actually heard a lady come in after me to meet her friend say she walked past this place like 3times. So im glad its not just me who had trouble finding the place. I want this place to be sucsesful for my wifes sake but if people looking for it cant find it then it must be missing quite a bit o business on potential passing trade. Just saying🙄

Visited for the first time today and had a lovely delicious fresh lunch! We thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely return. I had the sushi salad which was very tasty, my auntie had the avacado on toast which was nice however difficult to eat due to the toast being extremely hard!- think it was because it was sourdough bread so that was a bit of a shame. We really liked how it was decorated inside with all the plants. They were very friendly there too! Would be great to see more things on the menu and more cakes but was lovely! Thank you

I come to this café regularly to have lunch, the girls are really friendly and the environment is really cosy. The dishes are rotated regularly which I love as I always know that I will be getting something fresh and homemade. The cakes are absolutely gorgeous (the favourite of mine so far being some sort of sticky toffee/almond one). The prices are OK, maybe a little bit steep for the amount given (the salads, in particular), however I personally think it is worth it knowing that it is fresh and 'nourishing'! Matcha latte is one of the best I have had (if not THE best) and the sausage rolls are a lovely treat too. I would recommend this café to people if they are looking for a quick and nutritious vegan lunch, for a warm drink and cake, or a catch up with friends. Hope they'll expand in the future as I believe this place will become even more popular as veganism spreads. Very authentic, need more vegan places like this in Colchester!

After doing my re-search about ‘vegan in Colchester’, I stumbled across ‘The Nourish Co’ and so basically forced my mum (non-vegan by the way) to go there with me while we stayed in Colchester. We went there for lunch. On arrival the very friendly lady at the till (not sure what you call it in a restaurant! -Waitress? Anyway...) explained about the menu. They have a permanent menu and then a selection of a few dishes which they rotate why one they are serving that day. I hadn’t known this prior to going but luckily for me they were serving exactly the one I had planned on going for that day (I should mention thought that I would have gladly taken any of those dishes, or ones from the permanent menu- everything sounded amazing!). I ordered, as said, the ‘special’ dish for r that day: the Thai peanut salad along with a kombucha, and my mum ordered a cashew cream cheese bagel along with their ‘living smoothie’ I think it was called. The food didn’t take long to come, and after having also tried some of both of the things my mum ordered I can tell you safely that everything we had was amazing! My mum interestingly mentioned something I think is very true, which is that for a smaller place like ‘The Nourish Co’, it’s a very clever idea to have a ‘special dish for the day’, because that way, for those dishes that require a little more preparation, you can get them really right (as they did!!!!). Both my mum and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would definitely return again!

On several occasions I have bought a bagel for lunch and whilst I thought it was pricey at £6 I felt it was acceptable as it tasted good and I enjoyed it. Today, for a change I went for the kale and avocado salad at £7. As a previous reviewer commented, a half filled container with shredded kale and lettuce, some tiny bits of avocado barely discernible to the eye, the odd shred of aubergine, some nuts and a dressing. I came away feeling that they feel they can charge what they like under the cover of 'healthy, plant based, etc etc'. I wont be returning.

Super cute, super friendly, and (perhaps surprisingly) super tasty. You could easily miss this tiny vegan café, tucked under the Music Warehouse signwriting, but that would be a mistake. I’ve been in twice now, both times met with true warmth and conviviality - testament itself that their food does good things to people. On both occasions I had their faux sausage roll (the second time I was fortunate enough that it was still warm, yum) – which made a satisfying alternative to its meaty counterpart and the pastry certainly did not suffer from a lack of butter – delicious! On the second occasion I also had a chocolate cookie which, although an unusual consistency and perhaps ever so slightly oversweet, tasted surprisingly indulgent and left me feeling virtuous rather than guilty. I love the fact that you can see the racks of guitars through the mini kitchen – a truly unique hidden gem.

I'm not normally the type to go straight online to write a review of a place I've just visited but couldn't resist when it came to Colchester's "The Noirish Co". People tend to use the term "hidden gem" all to often but in this case there is no truer example of just that. Still within the town's busy centre on St Johns street, near the new bus station and within the old Music Warehouse shop is a delightful little cafe offering a range of vegetarian and vegan snacks, drinks and deserts. (It's worth mentioning that I am neither vegetarian or vegan myself). Given that the cafe had only just opened its doors for the first time the day before my visit, I was surprised by the choice on offer. Curries, Mexican chilli and meat free sausage rolls, all homemade, and a range of different hot and cold drinks you won't find anywhere else in town. AND SO MANY TEAS!!! This place is a fantastic alternative to your Starbucks and Costas. Owned and run by a small team who really care about where your food comes from and the impact they have on the environment right down to the packaging they use. I look forward to my next visit although there will likely be a queue out the door as word spreads about Colchester's new cool place to eat.
