The best restaurants in East of England

I’ve just bought a house round the corner so I’ve ordered a few fish and chips to date, but never from here until the other day and today… one word, amazing! There fish is fresh and clean, no aged smell. There chips are crispy but but fluffy in side. Loved there wally gators, there saverloys and pies. There establishment screems old skool with nice classic upselling of meals and deals, nice little take on children’s freebies. And finally the lady and gentleman that run the show there, she is kind, has a blessed aura and ambience about her, the gentleman cooking is also a really nice guy. A honest beautiful couple. Oh and it’s super super clean there! Straight away that’s the first thing that you recognise before seeing the mouth watering fish and chips, I saw they do ribs and chicken I’m yet to try, but I could confidently say there probably just as nice, from experience of there other food. They also serve take away in a really cool handy box! Thank you very much, and look forward to many more orders from my family, I will definitely be telling my local friends!

A 99p cheese burger from McDonalds is bigger! I wish I’d taken a photo before sending it back to the kitchen. No apologies but it was remade. Slightly better. Not worth £11! Will never go back and I would not recommend to anyone

What a beautiful find. Delicious cakes, sweet treats, with a lovely story of how they are made, and enjoyed in Portugal. We will absolutely be coming back!

Ordered Burrito and Gringas for takeaway. Both were fresh and amazingly tasty. Spice levels are chosen and salsas were so delightful. Will order again definitely.

Birthday dinner with family. Highly recommend this cosy restaurant with excellent menu choices, first class service. We will be back!

Ordered a takeaway for my wife’s birthday. Ordered at 7pm and was given an estimated delivery time of 8pm. I called at 8:30pm to see where the food was and was very abruptly told that the food was on its way. I called again at 8:55pm and was told that the driver had broken down but that another driver had been sent to collect our order. I called again at 9:24pm and they said they would get in touch with the driver to see what was going on and call me back immediately. Of course, nobody called me back, so I called again at 9:39pm. Now they seemingly had no idea what had happened to the two ‘missing’ drivers (or our food) but I was assured that yet another driver had been sent with a “new” order they had just cooked for us. At 9:51pm I get a call - apparently the latest driver had also broken down - by my count, the third driver that night; the 10 min drive from the restaurant to our house is either the most treacherous road in the UK or maybe, just maybe, they were lying. I was told that if I wanted the food, I would have to come get it myself (they obviously didn’t want to lose a 4th driver into the Bermuda Triangle that has apparently opened up in Ipswich). I politely declined. Luckily I ordered through Deliveroo who processed a full refund immediately - I wonder how many times my refund would have gotten ‘lost’ if the restaurant was processing it….. One to avoid if you like to actually receive your food

Authentic, friendly staff, great Italian food and not badly priced. Highly recommended. Would return!

A hidden secret this cafe. From the outside it's a jewellers but enter and go up stairs to find a little jewel of a cafe. Very good standard cafe, good service and a bit of a treat to be honest. Great place to bring your partner for a treat!

A fabulous Guest House. Excellent rooms and very efficient staff. A lovely cooked breakfast.

Very unassuming outwardly, until you find the entrance at the back. Walk in to the "Backstage entrance" a courtyard sheltered from the wind, and enter the bar to find live music, (Sunday). Drinks are relatively inexpensive and a very nice, friendly atmosphere.
