Lovely place! Food was really good

Another Cafe in Bedford to add to my short list - The Gallery Cafe (aka ‘You For Coffee’)! Haven’t tried the cakes but the Americano was excellent! Must come here more often …!

Lovely place for coffee and cake. Can't wait for them to start doing savoury food in the New Year.

This is now one of my favorite places. Just escape and have a coffee. Wonderful surroundings, great art on display, real plants; even the toilet is a retreat. Bliss Update: 2 yrs on. Not visisting this place more often could be one of this places ongoing promlems. Seemed quite busy when I was there today, it's a dam shame the place has lost its soul. Glad I took a picture of while it was. Place had purpose, now it's just full of niknaks thing people don't want. Cafe gone alightly down hill. Felt cramped and unorganised. Food was okay but service was hit and miss. Bring back the live starting with apcking the place full of plants again. This was a real eutopia.

Such a great place! Great food and coffee, excellent sourdough bread and really friendly and helpful staff! Also good selection of food, different from all the other places. Focaccias are really good! Love the outdoor seating spaces, Bedford really needs more outdoor sitting coffees or lunch places!

Happened to stumble upon this place as I parked in the adjacent multi story car park. Really good sandwich and nice coffee. The staff were friendly and I thought it was reasonably priced. The shop had some really nice bits as well, would recommend to people to visit

I love this place! It's a really nice place to sit with a book and have a nice coffee. The cheese on toast is SO good, and the salad it comes with is really delicious. Staff have always been upbeat and friendly whenever I've been in. My one gripe is that I think some of the chairs could do with cushions, but it's okay.

staff was lovely and the whole place very much gives DTLA with farmers market vibes.

Needed a few pictures framing, so I nipped in here, great service, great advice, hopefully all will be good when I pick them up. As it's located below the car park, it was also free parking, bonus. EDIT: Pick up my pictures, everything was awesome, a really good professional job done, one of them was very old (1936)and it came out really well. Very pleased.

Great place for coffee, cake and real sourdough bread. Also good for working remotely.

We asked for alternative milk, and they still served with normal cow milk. It upset my stomach and the other person's stomach. Tables and chairs were dirty when we sat down. We needed to ask to clean them for us.

I like this shop. There are home 🏡 articles you can buy. As well as coffee. Chilled relax sit in or out. Friendly. I go there often.

Nice surroundings in the Art Shop, friendly service, limited menu but well prepared. Been there a number of times and always been satisfied.

My wife brought me a bread from this bakery because we love french bread et heard good reviews. Honestly, this was the most disgusting bread I've ever eaten. Maybe the cakes and coffee are good but stay away from the bread even if it's appearance seems fine.

I bought a sourdough bread and it clearly wasn't freshly made. It tasted off, chewy and stale. I am so disappointed as I had could only read good reviews.

Been there first time. Was in rush to have coffee so found this nearest one on google. Really enjoyed my coffee. Didn’t stay there longer but love the atmosphere. Like to location not in crowded high street. So peace & calm. Service was good too. Let me come back for enjoy more stuff specially bakery 😋

One of the very best venues for coffee and food in town. Plus they sell the finest bakery goods around. Trust me. I've tried a lot of them.

Praise where it's due: this was the BEST cortado that I have ever had. Delicious and presented well. The staff were absolutely lovely too. An absolute gem!

So glad this place is open for sitting outside again. Great selection of food: sausage rolls, open sandwiches, cakes etc. and I even bought a loaf of their amazing sourdough bread to take away with me. They also sell locally roasted coffee, jams and chutneys from The Stables charity, Bedfordshire honey. Lots to love!

We have been going here regularly. Sourdough bread is amazing as are the coffee and cakes. Very friendly place to go would definitely recommend

Have used The Gallery several times to frame tapestries. Received good advice on the frame itself and the colour of the surround that will bring out the best of the picture.

My favourite coffee house, best flat white in town. A salad that even I like.Sausage rolls and cakes. Fresh sourdough bread baked on the premises. Definitely worth popping by.

Good art shop friendly staff and helpful and ok coffee

*THIS IS A REVIEW FOR DELICES* I have been here several times and always loved it - my most recent visit was for my mum's birthday breakfast - authentic cafe au lait with croissant for her, croissant aux amandes and mocha for me and pain au chocolat for the chocolate monster 4 year old, who also sampled the hot chocolate. I can say not a drop or crumb was left by the end, all delicious. A great place to take someone out for a special treat, so far removed from all those run of the mill chain cafes. I had also taken the plunge and ordered one of their made to order celebration cakes - the Gateau au Macaron - so we collected it at the same time. I cannot praise it enough, it is a true special occasion cake. It is absolutely stunning to look at, both inside and out, a total work of art. The flavours are fresh, fruity and delicate all at the same time, with lychees and rose cream in the middle, and the biggest juiciest raspberries you have ever seen on the edge. To look at, I thought it would be a really precarious construction but it does not fall apart or squash up when you cut into it (carefully obviously!), it is incredibly well put together. I can tell you that we will be talking about this cake for a long time! I would have no hesitation recommending a made to order cake from here - it was a bit of an impulse order in that I didn't really know what to expect but it exceeded all my expectations.

A great shop with interesting art and crafts section, as well as an excellent cafe. A great combination and an hour well-spent.

What a find. Great variety of Quality gifts/original cards & pictures and a delightful café. Had a light snack, tea and brownies! Fresh produce served by delightful team . Will certainly visit again.

Second time here- good coffee but extraordinary local sausage rolls - tried another one today and they are really amzing! And I am not a fan of sausage roll!

I am so glad to be able to return to this place! The new team is awesome, the food delicious, very good coffee. Lovely atmosphere with the art gallery under the same roof. And, oh! The bread!!! Thanks for being so close to my office too.

A very nice cafe. Food and coffees are of a high quality and the ambience is pleasant enough to stay a while. Very much a "secret cafe" feel, as embedded in an art supplies store, but this cafe also attracts a few business types. Overall the customer base is mixed, those interested in or practising art, mums with young, and town center professionals. Currently there seems always plenty of room to find a table which I find surprising since the cafe is very high quality, but maybe the prices reflect this, or I am lucky with the times I visit. Management are very good and service is always excellent.

I love visiting art galleries in London's but as a mk resident, it is fantastic to have art brought closer to home to go and see. Great too to get free entry on a Tuesday. Love the novel things in the gift shop as well. Volunteers are always very friendly and helpful.

Excellent coffee and tasty snacks served by people with welcoming smiles and a friendly manner. Their brownies are sheer perfection with lovely gooey middles. The biggest attraction here is Companions Real Bread. They relocated from Mill St recently and were able to increase their capacity. That means that more of their fabulous sourdough bread is available on a daily basis.

Delicious lunch here today. Yummy cake and coffee too. So sad they won't be here after Christmas,but wishing them lots of luck in their new venture.

It was ok. Lovely woman who served us. Decent coffee (which can be rare to find) and although the cakes are more pricey than some places, they are no more pricey than a dessert in a restaurant. Oh, the art in the shop itself is beautiful.

I've been to a few countries and can say they do some of the best desserts in the world. Lucky to have you guys in Bedford. I go here quite often.

Let's make this quick. This coffee place is in an art shop, the space is bright and airy. The latte was one of the best, I was pleasantly surprised by it. There were a variety on sandwiches on display although a little pricey. The bread was good and very tasty. You should at least come in and give the coffe a go. Our final bill was quite steep and it's the only thing that will stop us from coming back.

Lovely food and lovely tea. My only recommendation is providing syrup for coffee, some of us are pure neanderthals. Great atmosphere though with a huge wall of glass and natural light.

Good gaff...pleasant, clean, comfy place. Wooden Hill coffee good, superb cocoa bread bun....warm, gooey, extry chocolatey. Not the cheapest place in town but there's real quality here....mmmmmmm!

Great cakes, bread, coffee and atmosphere!

I visited the shop just yesterday at about 2:30. I was so unhappy and angry that since my wife and daughter, just after our long duration of travel, want to use the washroom before we can properly sit down for our meal. However, the male counter attendant stopped is to use the washroom and said to us in a rough manner that the washroom is for customer only. I wondered how did he knew we are not customer although we came in for toilet in urgent need before we could purchase our meal. I did extremely not like the way of the staff training of this shop that expelling customers by this impolite male worker. Being a customer-serving organisation, I think proffering people convenience for using the toilet is a simple and heartfelt welcoming manner. I hope the boss could have a good explanation of this.

Best place in Bedford to have a delicious cake, tasty and nutritious baguette and a fantastic coffee. I love the fact that they use organic ingredients. You can see the artistry in everything they do. Wonderful people serving wonderful food.

The Cortado I ordered was served cold, most likely served with cold milk. A sandwich is £4-£5 which is double the price for half the size of a French sandwich. They need price changes and a more consistent delivery of beverages

I ordered a cake for my wife's birthday. Delices prepared a beautiful and delicious fraisier with a nice "French touch". I definitely recommend. Since then, I come regularly for their baguettes as well

Very pleasant, swift staff. Airy, light atmosphere inside and gorgeous to sit outside when the sun is out enjoying a cup of tea and a Bombe Rouge. They have an excellent selection of tasty sandwiches, quiches, desserts, pastries, jams and more.

Just passing by and was drawn inside by the breads and cakes. Bought a fresh crusty loaf which was delicious with butter and apricot jam! Diane and Géraldine made me feel very welcome. Didn't have time for coffee, but smelt wonderful. Will definately return for the coffee and a slice of cake very soon. Well worth a visit when you a looking for somewhere different to stop, chat and enjoy the atmosphere inside this lovely French cafe.

I ordered a big birthday cake for my son's birthday. It was delicious! Everyone loved it.
