Food was unreal, everything cooked to perfection. Very friendly staff and quick for a busy Saturday night

Came here tonight for the first time with my partner. Initially, the queue was long and we figured we’d be there for a good while. However, they were adequately staffed meaning the queue moved quickly. we ordered large chips, two jumbo sausage and curry sauce. It was superb! Chips were fresh and arguably some of the best chippy chips I’ve had. Sausage was also good. Curry sauce had a nice sweetness to it but I think the pot could have been a bit bigger. Will be returning again, thank you :).

We've used these guys a few times now, fish and chips are always fresh, fish and chips are fried separately from other items as well which is a bonus. Staff are all lovely, and constantly on their feet - not had any bad food from them yet. Honestly best chippy in bedford, and we've tried quite a few!

There's amazing fish and chips and then there's Luci & Linas. If you speak to the owner you'll appreciate and understand exactly why they get all the awards that they do. Truly obsessed with fish and chips like no man I've ever met, and it shows in the quality of every meal you have here. Outstanding!

Best Fish & Chips! We had fish and chips we bought here on 03 Dec. 2023. Lovely good quality cod in a fantastic light crispy batter. The chips were great. Oh, and the mushy peas were lovely too. Owners we also very friendly, polite and helpful. All in all, great food and we would highly recommend :)

Disappointing to be honest, given its position as top fish and chip shop in Beds. Was there Friday evening around 7.45pm, service achingly slow despite seemingly plenty of staff, who were admittedly pleasant, always a bonus. Chips were pretty anaemic, fish was ok but frankly not worth the prices. Stunned that even though I asked for two medium cod, I had to pay for a large one because “it’s all we’ve got left”. I’d have expected them just to throw it in at the end of a busy night. High hopes not realised, unfortunately.

Love the food from here, we did have to wait a little but was to be expected.

Went to this chippy for the first time last week and it was amazing! Great food & great staff. I’ve never been to a chippy where all the staff are so polite and friendly. 5/5. Will be visiting again soon

Great simple burger. Less then others charge too. Cheese n onion pastie..not many do anymore. Yum. Only down side was my daughters kids drink was broken and leaked..had to empty into cup after I wiped carpet clean.. I pre ordered by phone, May aswell have not pre ordered as wasnt any faster

I've been going here for quite a few years . Fish and chips are fantastic , fish cooked while you wait. Only downside is that it can get very busy on a Friday evening.

Best fish n chips and kebabs. Queuing is worth the wait or call up before if you are in a rush. The fish has definitely got smaller the large doesn't look like a large!

Plan in advance, I was waiting for my son, who was at a youth club, and I decided to try out this establishment after a recommendation. I only had an hour spare and 40 minutes in a long queue. The food was excellent, and I can see why it is so popular and the long lines. Literally, when I arrived, people were queueing towards the pub. I have never seen anything like it, but it was worth the wait, and I ordered, ate my food and got back in time to pick my son up, next time if I'm short on time, I will make a telephone order to save time, if I have time id be happy to queue for quality food.

Had haddock and chips from here. The staff are great always keeping you informed how long your food is going to take to cook. The food was delicious.

Took the family for some delicious take away. Fish was fresh, chips were hot and thoroughly enjoyed the battered sausage! Staff were friendly, polite with a good sense of humor. Parking can be tight, but food was delicious! Definitely worth the effort.

Freshly tasting food and friendly atmosphere. Getting a take away from here is quickly becoming a regular ritual with my mate.

Food has gone downhill. We had kebabs, chicken was over seasoned as smothered in mayonnaise as was the doner kebab. Pitta bread was like rubber. Chicken pie was rock hard, definitely wasn’t cooked today. We certainly won’t be going there again

I have been a regular customer for six years now. The quality of both the fish and chips are simply the best, I know they have also won awards for the quality of their food. The service is brilliant and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Twice in a row (sat & tuesday) I went there to find it was closed, the food is usually nice but unfortunately there too incompetent now which is a shame. Back to pauls fish & chips from now on, atleast there efficient and know how to run a business unlike this place

Staff and food keep you going back as both are at the top of their game! We as a family are regulars every single week and its a bonus that you can tell Luci and Lina really appreciate it. Highly recommend!

I’m unfamiliar with the area and encouraged by the great reviews I gave this chippy a try. I was not disappointed. The batter is divine. Chips are lush. Curry sauce is delish. I’d definitely go back.

High Quality Fish & Chips. uses Oil to cook with, personally I like Beef Dripping cooked F & Cs, that's traditional.

I was going to leave a review and saw the below review so In response to the below comment I was there when this happened - the ‘gentlemen’ in question was very rude to the lady which the main issue seemed to be her size rather than anything else - hence that no one in line came to his defence - he actually made the lady cry !!! Horrible comments and absolutely no need for it - there are full size big screens (unlike other shops that only have half if that ! )that separate staff and food to customer - there was plenty of space for him to move around and comply with social distancing- unfortunately some people like to cause trouble Food is amazing as always , regarding to hygiene this is the ONLY shop that actually does what they should be doing and more Amazing food , staff and portions

Used them for years but tonight they allowed a morbidly obese woman to enter the shop and then sit inside without a mask without challenging her. Probably their best customer looking at the size of her. I pointed out (wearing my mask) that I would not be buying from them as they failed to take basic hygiene measures. I went to King Cod instead. That will be my last ever visit to Luci and Linas. The woman claimed she had a medical problem and had exemption from wearing a mask. Ignorance and gluttony is not an excuse. Shame on the staff in Luci and Linas.

Great fish and chips but the 'Vegetarian kebab' was a few bits of salad in a pitta which was not great and was a bit of a rip off.

Ordered fish and chips for tonight - phone answered immediately order taken efficiently - arrived at appointed time and a little disorganised outside with people who had and hadn’t placed orders - quickly dealt with - perhaps a motive on the window with instructions would help - Absolutely superb fish and chips - we ate the lot - 5 Stars

Do not have fish and chips very often, but found this little gem last year. Well worth a visit, batter crispy and not soggy. Chips are also crispy. Enjoyed every mouthful. Have revisited after the forced closure, and the food is just as good, and at the moment offering NHS workers discount. Food orders taken over the phone and ready to be picked up

Taken the effort to keep the staff and customers safe, whilst delivering the usual high quality fish and chips - can’t fault them!

Not had a bad meal yet...... normally a massive cue.... but that’s what you get if you offer good food at reasonable prices.

Food is of a good quality and good portions. Good selection and always cooked fresh. Only issue is it gets really busy on Friday and Saturday so get there early. Definitely worth a visit for great fish and chips
