Food was really delicious and good value for money, and the service was attentive. Nice Turkish wine too!

I was initially drawn to this restaurant based on its favorable reviews and secured a reservation in advance. However, upon arrival, I was disappointed to find that we were not seated in the main dining area as expected. The experience continued to fall short of expectations. Our starters were served cold, and although the staff assured us they would be replaced, the same dish was returned after a brief reheating rather than a proper preparation. Additionally, our main course was significantly delayed, which further impacted our dining experience. I also found that the service was lacking in attentiveness, as we had to request tap water multiple times. Overall, these issues combined to create a subpar experience, and I would not recommend this restaurant based on my visit.

Great food great atmosphere recommended 100%

This restaurant could kill someone that has allergies. The waiters and manager were advised of two guests having food allergies. There was no regard for the customers safety, and both customers were served food with those allergens. One guest had a severe allergic reaction to nuts. We specifically asked the waiter for a cake that had no nuts, he did not even check with anyone and recommended the red velvet cake. When the cake arrived the guest ate it, only to realise that there were crushed up walnuts all over the plate and frosting of the cake! Thankfully, she had some allergy medicine present, but this could have easily taken an unfortunate customers life! We write this review, in the hopes that the management will take the allergies of their customers seriously, and realise, they could have potentially killed someone. The outrageous thing is, there was no remorse from the manager when they were alerted, they simply offered to "take the cake away" and even charged us for this cake on the bill. Its a real shame as the food was amazing, we will not be going back.

Ozzy is a charismatic man, he was on point with his service and professional attitude. Good was fast out, especially considering fully booked out at middle of Saturday night. We'll done to the team effort. Atmosphere was difficult for acoustics, but half of that was due to a very inebriated table next to us. Apart from that the draft from the front door was a little annoying but these things are difficult to address. All in all, we'll priced, great service and good experience.

The Nazar Lounge is a great spot with super friendly staff and really quick service. The food is delicious, and the lamb ribs were a standout—tender and packed with flavor. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

The food at Nazar was amazing, the service from Ozzy exceptional. This was our first visit but definitely won’t be the last, the food was quick to come out and delicious, great all round. Thanks also for supporting the blue light discount.

We had set meal for 4 people and had to say for £25 a head it wasn't to bad, the squid I think needs to be two each not one but apart from that it did fill the gap. 8/10

My review isn't a true reflection on atmosphere as we were there on opening 4 a early lunch and as expected quiet. Although it having been valentines it started filling up as we left. We had been recommended for the great value 4 money lunch time deal - but with it being valentines- cheap deals are off the menu - understandably. We ate from the main menu. 2 diners. 2 starter. 2 mains . 1 alcoholic drink . 1 coffee. 1 soft drink . Approx 65 pound. Restaurant is beautiful- looking.4ward to an evening return where I believe sometimes they have entertainment.

Amazing restaurant. Came for my mother’s birthday and the wonderful Ozzy brought us a cake with a sparkler. 5 star treatment all night. Incredible food (as usual). Highly recommend.

Husband n I came for a romantic dinner 💕 When we first arrived the young man who greeted us and directed us to our table was very welcoming and friendly. Food came quickly not much waiting time at all . The rice was amazing and of course the hummus (which I love 😍) the chicken was not the best but I think it might had just been my chicken that I didn't like maybe the flavour or something I'm not too sure however my husband chicken and mix platter was amazing 😍 We don't have any complaints other than my chicken but I pretty sure I just wasn't sure about the flavour of my chicken . Orange juice was fantastic aswell . We would definitely recommend:)

I’ve been to the Nazar lounge on several occasions with family, friends and work colleagues (for work-do’s). I cannot recommend the Nazar lounge enough. The food here is amazing, there are plenty of options to choose from on their menu at reasonable prices. The food is delicious, I often go for the wings. I don’t normally like salad but at Nazar lounge, their salad is the most delicious I’ve ever tasted. My plate is always empty when I come to eat here. Because of this, I am always eager to bring people here that have not been here before! On top of that the service here is always amazing, staff are kind and attentive. They always make sure that we have what we need and check if we are enjoying our food. I appreciate how genuine and hard working they all are to make sure our experience there is a good one. In addition, the Nazar Lounge has a great aesthetic and is perfect for hosting celebrations and dining in big groups (they have a separate section to host for bigger groups), as well as catering for smaller groups. Highly recommended.

1st time dinning here and wish I had been here a long time ago. By far the best Turkish food I have had in Bedfordshire and I could not recommend this place enough.! Excellent service by Ozzy, with no rush or push to get you in and out! Wine served with great care and expertise. The flavours I can’t describe, you need to try the food for yourself to understand what I experience. Well done Nazar, keep it up and you will definitely be seeing me again.!

Staff were very kind and helpful from the moment we entered, food was great and served quickly, there was an amazing live singer and the atmosphere generally was really good.

Please avoid this please. We recently had a Christmas dinner and they have charged an extra 5£ service charge per person and still asked for more money from my manager saying that not everyone paid for their drinks. Very bad organised and trying to take as much as they could from our pockets, rip off literally… so disappointing when you go to have fun and you get this kind of treatment back.

We went last night and it was very busy . The food was amazing and so were the staff. There was even someone to open the door for us ! We had a great meal and there was also a singer ! Lovely evening .

The food was nice, a little pricey. Ozzie was more interested in giving the place a good review, and wanted himself in the pictures we took. If the food speaks for itself, then the reviews will come in.

Over 2 hours I waited for my food which didn't arrive. My delivery time kept being pushed back. I rang the restaurant which they said it was out their hands and it was just eats problem. They took zero responsibility and just passed blame. Joke!

Tonight, we were here and had a truly delicious meal – one of the best dishes you could ever taste in the world. As an Iranian who loves kebab, tonight I felt like I was in an amazing restaurant right in my own home. The staff and management were incredibly kind and took the time to explain how to source high-quality meat. Their friendliness went above and beyond. This is the only place I am confident about choosing every single time!

A very impressive meal. The service was exceptional, the food delicious. Grilled meats are obviously cooked on charcoal with a smoky flavour, the bread cooked to order and was the absolute best flatbread I've tasted. It's not the cheapest restaurant to dine in but is certainly a level above 95% of Turkish restaurants!

Great food and service as usual. Ozzy our waiter has a great, bubbly personality and was very attentive throughout. A nice touch was the female singer in the background. I would certainly recommend this as a venue for a large party group as we were or even a cozy meal for two.

Just been for a lunchtime deal. What amazing value recommend to anyone. £11 for starter and main course and it was very good food. I had lamb steak skewered and my wife lamb shank. Delicious 😋

Visited here a couple of times for lunch, each time the service was excellent and a great atmosphere. The lunch menu is not as extensive as the full evening menu, but it has a good choice and the price is very reasonable. I look forward to my next visit

Nazar is a lovely lounge in the usually lively High Street area and it does impress you with a fine interior decor and the ambience. But what's interesting is the authentic Turkish menu and if you haven't yet tried much of it, picking a dish can be quite tricky. We ordered a family platter and got a lot of items in it, including starters which were lovely, and something new for the tastebuds. The main course in the platter you get is really tasty and quite heavy as well ; more than five people can eat it easily. The food is flavorful, making it tastier with each bite. Note that it is one of those fine lounges so it is a little bit pricey.

We love this restaurant, The owner is a great host. Food is always fresh and exceptional.

The price for a mixed grill and chips was daylight robbery. £25 for 7 pieces of meat and some (admittedly flavoursome) rice, then £5 for a small foil container of soggy chips - won’t bother again

A very poor takeaway experience. Pictures says it all. Edit: Nazar kitchen, I appreciate your reply. However it is concerning and upsetting to hear that the portion sizes shown are correct. The Lamb Humus dish, had perhaps one tablespoon of humus, and the salad, along with being a very small portion, was missing the pomegranate dressing. It is a great shame as I have eaten in and had takeaway from you many times in the past. If you stand by that these are the new portion sizes, then perhaps I'll be headed somewhere else in town next time.

Chips under cooked. I believe all restaurants are cutting corners to get the food on time rather than cook it properly.

received my order to find a tray of 'humus kavurma' with absolutely no humus, just oil and lamb. the 'nazar salad' had no dressing on it at all. Hiked prices since the last time I ordered from Nazar, sad to see the quality no longer matches the price.

Myself and my friends have been regular customers of Nazar for over a year now and I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough! The staff at Nazar are great, particularly Ozzy. He always makes us feel welcome and his customer service skills are great! The food is always excellent and I think the lad doing the card tricks is an excellent edition to an already great dining experience!

The Nazar Lounge Bedford October 2024 Very bad experience in this Turkish cuisine restaurant. Very high prices: a single dish consisting of 5 strips of chicken with a bit of mixed inastala and a spoonful of sauce cost 20 pounds each, around 25 euros! There were 6 of us at the table and out of six orders they got two wrong, one of which the waiter arrogantly claimed was right. After asking for the menu for comparison, he realized his mistake and remade the dish, making everyone who had already been served wait ten minutes. To the final bill, around 180 euros of which 6 shameful minimal dishes based on chicken strips, two beers, three cokes, two liters of water, 1 dessert and 1 coffee, they added 18 pounds for the gold tip decided without our consent . Unfortunately my friend who paid only noticed when we left. Absolutely avoid!

Popped in for the lunch deal. Two courses for £10.90 was unbelievably good value and the food was amazing. Quick and friendly service and the restaurant has a great feel to it!

Hubby and I absolutely love The Nazar Lounge!! The staff were efficient and friendly. The restaurant was bright and elegant. We ordered the hot meza plate, mixed grill, and sarma lamb beyti. All our dishes were delicious!! We will definitely go back again before we leave.

The deliveroo prices for this place are nuts - £27 for a single 'mixed grill' which came in a tiny box. What a scam

I visited the other day and they had great food and a nice interior. Waiters were also friendly and very helpful however the way they get treated is absolutely appalling by management and completely ruins the atmosphere as I do not want to be dining in this environment. It is always different employees serving me as no one wants to stay. I saw plenty of other reviews agreeing with me claiming that the establishment values money over their customers and own employees and how the boss is ill-mannered and greedy. It is such a shame as it is a nice place. I will return when they learn how to treat people fairly and with basic respect !!!

Fantastic service team, warm welcome from the moment we entered. This makes our experience all the more special when small touches like opening the door and immediate smiles are readily provided. The decor is special, gorgeous setting. And wow, the food was just incredibly tasty - grill meats are served tender and juicy, and they also served the best Ali Nazak I’ve ever had! Perfect for date nights, family get togethers etc - service is efficient and they’ll serve at your pace. Reading other reviews - we were not rushed at all. If you need more time, just ask. Went away to Bedford for a bank holiday weekend and was looking for some food to eat. Came across this restaurant and was blown away with the great hospitality from the staff. The atmosphere of the restaurant was amazing and my guy ozzy was an excellent staff member. Me and my wife got a small platter to share (Ozzy’s recommendation) and boy was it tasty. The meat was soft and succulent. It was also tender and not over powered with salt like other Turkish restaurants. Definitely a place to visit if you’re in the area. I’ll even say to people that are reading this, I’ll drive down from London, Tottenham just to come eat here again. Keep up the great food. This restaurant has got my respect

Such a disappointment. Went in for the lunch deal. Ordered starters and mains. Before we had even finished our starters the young waitress brought our mains. We asked why are they here already and she just walked off. The food was not what was stated on the menu and the food was inedible due to them giving us food we are allergic to. They recooked one of the dishes and refused to reheat the other dinner due to it being cold. We asked for a discount due to the errors and they took 30 mins to respond with a flat out no. Never going back there again!
