A nice cafe in a lovely setting. I bought the small breakfast with a can of lemonade for £8.00, the breakfast contained toast, baked beans, one rasher of bacon, one sausage, one tomato (in exchange for not wanting mushrooms) and one fried egg. The food was all very nice apart from the beans which were only just about warm. The service was good and the general atmosphere of the cafe was very nice, especially with all the Christmas trees around the church If you found this review helpful please click on the heart icon, thanks.

I cannot rate the service, food and good vibes this place provides. You are always made to feel welcomed. Food is good quality and portion sizes above average for the price. Dining within the church adds to the atmosphere and they have a wonderful children's play area my son loves.

Used to use when it was simply a table with a volunteer serving tea, coffee or squash and biscuits. Whilst a lovely full blown cafe, now comes with high prices matching other outlets. Presumably staff are patrolled and some profits to church?

What a fantastic idea, cafe in the church. It can be chilly in the winter, but that's OK, the warm welcome and friendly staff make up for it. Excellent menu, gluten free and vegan options available. Dog friendly too. Lovely homemade cake selection. Lunchtime specials. Well worth a visit. I go regularly with family and friends, never disappointed.

A really friendly and welcoming cafe that’s moved from the museum to Stowmarket church in recent years. There’s plenty of tables which is good as the Osier’s a popular spot for lunch. It’s a really unique cafe because of the church location. We all enjoyed our food. The rainbow salad with felafel was lovely and the quiche was really nice too and was served with a salad and baked potato. The portion sizes are generous and reasonably priced too. There’s an excellent selection of cakes on the slices of cake are large! I’d happily recommend the Osier cafe to others.

My son takes singing lessons in Stowmarket and we discovered this little gem of a café which is literally a 3 minute walk from his teacher's place 🥰 the food is hearty and delicious, the cakes are divine and coffee and teas great! The place is located within the church and has got a welcoming atmosphere, great place for families with young children as it's spacious and great if you have dogs too!! The staff are courteous and efficient. Will definitely back again very soon. 3 June 2023 And we've come back!! The veggie quiche with salad and jacket potato was yummy, the coffe walnut cake and bakewell tart delicious and of course, the all day English breakfast is amazing!! Needless to say the coffees are spot on 💛

This cafe moved from within a museums grounds and is now located within a church. I had visited several times before it moved and was keen to try it in its new location. It actually is a nice relaxing space within the church with a pleasant atmosphere. The staff are friendly and they still have a good selection of food and drinks at a reasonable cost. I had a generous portion of veggie quiche and salad - which was very tasty. Due to their new location they no longer can offer fried food but there is plenty of other options to choose from. Will certainly return when next in area.

I have been a visitor of the Osier Cafe many times now and can only say what a great Cafe it is, run by Helen and her team. Always ready to help the staff are wonderful and provide good old fashioned customer service. BUT if you really want to know that makes this cafe shine, it is their breakfast which if you like cooked, will transport to your traditional English Cooked Happy Place! A great way to stoke up for the day, the journey of simply because you like a traditional English Cooked Breakfast - and always served with a smile! Highly recommended.

New to Stowmarket and have spent each weekend over the last 3 months sampling the fried breakfast within 10 miles at a different establishment each time. I'll be back just for the breakfast alone but the great/friendly service, cleanliness and good cause (warm fuzzy feeling included even as an atheist) are the cherry on top. Both egg yolks were runny, toast buttered and bacon actually fried (side eye to you lime tree with the single hard egg no matter how many visits are made or wetherspoons with the microwaved pale pork and rock hard butter) I only wish that they had the sign on the main road so I had found it sooner My first review in these 3 months

Went to visit the cafe at 3 05pm as it says online that they close at 3.35pm wasn't a warm welcome ladies behind the counter where packing up and looked at each other when walked in and mumbled something then started putting the cake stands back on the counter I asked if they where still open for a ice cream nd drink and was told well we do close at 3.15 so information online isn't correct. We would have happily taken our purchase outside with us but git the impression they didn't want to serve anymore.

The prices are astronomical for thr quality,, the food is mediocre. The staff had absolutely no idea what they were doing , we had to wait for so long for our tea to arrive that we went and got it ourselves, but the staff are very friendly. The location is beautiful, as it always has been. It's a crying shame,,,when it first started many years ago, the bistro was once the best place to go,, but its changed hands a couple times and has never been the same since .

Today we chose to walk the 2 minutes from home to have breakfast in the sunny garden at the Osier cafe. What a difference, not only was the breakfast great and good value for money, but they welcomed Arthur and treated him as a normal guest. My breakfast arrived with an extra something for Arthur. Well I was recommended this place for a good breakfast ( never tried the lunches) it was packed, that was a good sign, once we finished queuing up and found a table ( it's well worth waiting for) the breakfast choice was very good, unless you have a very good appetite don't order the large full breakfast it was huge but very tasty and good value but not good to waste food. The service is nothing but fast and very good. I'm sure that the lunches are equally as good. Give it a try.

Had father's day family breakfast at Osier Café today, there were nine of us in all. Sat outside as it was lovely and warm where the littlest member could play on the ride on toys in the safe garden area. Lovely lady brought out tray of hot drinks soon after ordering and hot breakfasts followed soon after. We had a variety of breakfast meals which were all hot, well cook and nicely presented. The chef had even cooked a sausage for my daughters dog. Teenage daughter had eyes on the very polite young waiter! I can honestly say it was one of the most relaxed and pleasant meals a family could ever experience when out. Definitely recommended.

Lunch during visit to Museum of East Anglian Life, with son and daughter and three grandchildren. Adults had Scampi, and Ham, Egg and Chips and the suchlike - children had sausages and nuggets - there are healthier options. All seems freshly made, the tartare sauce with the scampi was just-right zingy. Quantities plentiful. Hand made chips. Salad, including homemade red cabbage slaw was excellent. Café is in characterful old building, tables and chairs fill most of the main space but there are settees at one end with free to read newspapers and, at the other end, a really good children's play area. The staff and friendly and helpful, service was quick but not hurried, and we fed four adults, two toddlers and a baby for £41 including drinks which we thought good value.

I recently had a week in the Suffolk countryside on holiday from a far flung corner of Cambridgeshire and went to this pub on my final night for a bit of solo dining. My experience was delightful, I had a superb rustic, silky garlic mushroom starter and an absolutely delicious fish and chips main. The landlord and landlady were lovely people and kept me entertained throughout. This pub was the gastronomic highlight of my week and I'll definitely be back ASAP... ideally on a Sunday. A terrific experience all round. Thanks very much.
