Ordered a birthday cake online at relatively short notice. All ready on time. Absolutely beautiful cake that tastes amazing! Lovely guy in the shop too. Thank you so much

I ordered a birthday cake, that was absolutely beautiful and delicious! Will definitely be ordering again!

I called to request a last-minute cake which they agreed to have ready by 3 pm the next day however by 5 pm, the cake hadn’t even been started! We received a rushed sponge cake with just whipped cream filling and a few poorly prepared fruit pieces which still had skin and orange rind on them. It felt like a money grab, and we were left very disappointed. After a few mouthfuls the cake ended being binned as nobody liked it. I had been so thankful when they said they would accommodate the request when I called before hand, I wish they would have just said it was not possible so I could have explored other options.

I ordered a cake very last minute and they graciously agreed to make it for me. The cake was an Italian Vanilla sponge with an italian creme patissiere. The cake was light and not overly sweet. If you dont like a dense cake and find cakes with regular icing / buttercream too sweet, this would be a great alternative.

Two days ago, I've had the chance to buy my first cake with fruits and custard to celebrate the birthday of a friend. I've spoken to Francesco, who works at this beatiful place and got very useful suggestions. He was very collaborative. Upon his suggestion, I've ordered the cake via their website and I went the day agreed to collect the cake and it exceeded my expectations. Fresh and delicious. I searched for a cake company locally having never used the Amalfi Pattisserie or heard a recommendation and it was incredible So fresh So tasty you could smell the vanilla with the box closed, attention to detail and lightness of the sponge was incredible. Couldn't recommend it enough

I went to buy chocolate toothpaste today on Saturday 07th January 2023 in the afternoon. I told the chef that l am a part time seller on Echo Bay Technology Group United Kingdom. Then the chef asked to can you help some candles for me on the same platform. Then the chef asked me what is your number. I said to the chef no and you need a passport to register with the platform and with PayPal account, after that the chef asked to do return tomorrow on Sunday 08 the January 2023. I then left the shop. I will never ever will return to Pasticceria Amalfi Cakes. It is not professional for a chef to ask me such question and l told the chef that you need to go onto the platform for your information as l cannot help you. This was a very serious issue and l have told my family not to buy from this shop and a very bad experience. Be aware.

Ordered a tray of 21 Mignons (mini cakes and pastries) and a larger chocolate toothpaste to sit in the middle, as an alternative to a birthday cake for my daughters 26th birthday..I have to say they were absolutely delicious and everybody enjoyed them! Highly recommend, thank you

I ordered a birthday cake online, the website was a bit tricky to use, I managed to order and arranged to collect the cake. We recieved a birthday cake that maybe didin't look quite as professional as some of the other cakes we had seen, it was nice though.... but boy oh boy what a fantastic cake it was! Everyone at our party commented to say how nice it was and asked us where we got it from, I have never seen a cake go so fast.. It was amazing, light, full of flavour and absolutely delicious it was worth every penny. Well done Amalfi.

Top cake shop for birthdays and weddings. Cakes taste amazing would recommend. I love the small cake selection and the mixed box where you can have a taste of each one. They do a good mocha aswell. Also cakes are just amazing but are a bit pricey but quality is what you are paying for to be honest.

Lovely little Italian cakes and they do gorgeous birthday cakes as well! Brilliant service. I always come out of that place with a big smile as the owners' humour and smiles are contagious. The cakes are super soft and full of flavour. Would definitely recommend buying a tray of little cakes for a tea party or as a treat for a loved one. 10 out of 10, definitely one of my favourite places in Bedford!

Being from an Italian family, its really difficult to find truly Italian foods as a taste of home. I brought a good mix of cakes for family visiting and they were absolutely divine! My family talk a lot but they were quiet for a short time while they tried. Friendly and lovely guy at the shop, reminds me of home!

So I ordered a very last minute birthday cake and even though they were supposed to close at 2pm (Sundays) they managed to get a beautiful cake together for me! Not only that but due to car trouble, I ran late and the chef waited another half hour after closing for me! Honestly the best service EVER and obviously the cake. Entered the cafeteria and liked it from the first seconds. Joyful atmosphere from the doorstep, it feels that owner likes his job and communicating with clients. I bought a cup of cappuccino and a cupcake and the owner just gave me two extra as a present. Wow! I'll definitely be coming there more often. Highly recommend!

Superb cakes made to order...just expect italian levels of service (it'll be ready when it's ready!). I've had to wait around a bit on a couple of occasions, but they made up for it by offering a couple of sweet treats to my nephews who were being well behaved despite the wait. Believe me, the cake is worth the wait!

For us we really like this cafe, we lived it spain for a few years so this little Italian cafe reminds of our time out there. It’s very clean and the staff are lovely so friendly and very helpful. All the cakes we had were very Italian yum yum. Would definitely go back and would definitely recommend. Lots of parking out front.

We love it here. They’re great for cakes for special occasions, or just to treat yourself to some little italian cakes (just as you would have in Italy!) We have got to know the staff and owner who are all very friendly. Great service! They do a lovely espresso too!

We used Amalfi Cakes for our wedding on the 4th August 2017. All the staff are very helpful, and try their very hardest to make the dream cake for you. Our cake was a three tier heart shaped cake and it was FANTASTIC! It looked beautiful and tasted even better. We cannot thank you enough! Also the man who makes the cakes is very funny and clearly a perfectionist! 👍👍

What a great place. I found this place from looking online. Loving food so much I decided to get in the car and visit this pasticceria and travelled all the way from peterborough. What a great decision I made. Very helpful staff, work hard but always have a smile. I met the baker francesco who makes these lovely cakes and again very helpful. Ordered cake for 12, not ready, said we return at 3, still wasnt ready at 4. Finally got it at 4:30 after a rush job to finish decorating it. I know 2 customers who didnt get their orders. Staff moan that theres too much work and not enough people. Manager full of excuses why things are wrong. Fees a like a business starting to go wrong, never again, not worth the risk. Whats the alternative at 5pm on a Saturday when your £100+ cake isnt ready?

Servicio le permite bajar por desgracia, desde Amalfi el grosero chef de pastelería, para el proceso de orden desorganizado y pobre comunicación con los clientes. A pesar de ser clientes habituales también nos cobraron la última orden, que el personal intentó disfrazar, teniendo un pedido de una torta pequeña y brindar una más grande con un precio más alto. Las tartas son muy buenas, aunque por favor su mejor al cliente.
