The best restaurants in East Midlands

Went on a busy Friday night for the first time. I was impressed with the service, the speed of service for such a busy night and the food was absolutely stunning!! I’ll be back now I’ve found this place!! Solid 10/10

I’m registered disabled as the photo shows and was suffering with heat exhaustion where I was sat outside on a Halcyon chair to be moved on by a rude member of staff. Fortunately Morellis further up the road allowed me to sit down and even gave me a free glass of water. Charity cost nothing. Disgrace to Queens Rd

Under new management which is worst. Booked hall, Food was disorganized. Food kept running out and was not refilled properly. Appetizer was gone when Some guest came. They served dinner -Some time rice was empty r or veggies were gone. The guest who showed up in event was lot less than head count given / paid but food was still less.

Visited recently for a Sunday roast, best roast we’ve had in a long time and we’ve had a fair few! Portions were a great size, nice to have cauliflower cheese included, good service too - would 100% recommend

Popped in for a milkshake but decided to get food. It was delicious! I had the ‘veggie burger’ which came with spinach fritters, I really enjoyed it. Something different and so very tasty. The staff were very friendly, helpful and patient as we had a big order. Will definitely be returning.

Nazar BBQ House in Evington is a real gem! The food was absolutely delicious – every dish we ordered was bursting with flavour and cooked to perfection. What truly elevated our experience was the excellent service. In particular, a young lady, who I believe was called Neera, provided outstanding service. She was attentive, friendly, and made us feel incredibly welcome. We'll definitely be returning soon!

Not bad, not great. For context, nobody is actually expecting anything that looks like authentic tapas in a pub in Derbyshire, but the effort was a bit of a mixed bag. Nice place. Good service. Lovely staff. Some of the best cooked squid I've had anywhere - 5 stars, big points! Patatas bravas wasn't bad, might have gone a bit OTT with the paprika, which leaves it with a weird dusty taste. Chorizo and meatballs were pretty good. Without doubt the worst hummus in the world - what on earth was it meant to taste like? Vodka? But the crispy chicken! What sort of crispy chicken possibly equals a chicken goujon chopped into pieces? It's neither actual chicken nor crispy! Bit of a gamble depending what you order.

Best tandoor mixed grill i've ever had

After visiting Thailand it’s been difficult to find similar flavors, but The Basement is the closest we’ve found to it. Great Thai flavor! We had the Tom kha, pad Thai, green curry, and spring rolls. All were fantastic

I bealive the pizza dough comes from france franchise, the pizza taste like its got alcohol in the dough!not halal, i told the algerien and albanian staff on opening day dont sell this to muslims but they still selling without knowing i mailed woodiz in paris they wouldnt comment on alcohol being in their dough. Avoid!!! When you opened up i brought a pizza from you you said your dough comes from france! I said there is a wierd alcohol like taste in the dough you told me to contact woodiz france and find out. If you make it in store what are you putting in it?
