⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ – 25 Years of Pizza Perfection, Delicious Extras & Unmatched Consistency!
I’ve been ordering from Babylon Pizza in Nottingham for close to 25 years, and I can honestly say they are one of the most consistently excellent, reliable, and downright amazing takeaways I’ve ever had — and I’ve not had pizza this good since Leicester, nor anywhere else in the world.
The pizzas are consistently hot, fresh, and full of flavour. Whether it’s their classic margherita or one of their more adventurous options, the toppings are generous, the crusts are perfectly cooked, and it’s always delivered piping hot. The quality has been unwavering for as long as I can remember — and that’s saying something. They’re THAT good.
But if I had to pick a standout, it would have to be the Chicken Tandoori Hot Pizza — it’s to die for. The spicy tandoori chicken, combined with the right blend of seasoning and heat, makes it one of the most incredible pizzas I’ve ever had. If you like your pizza with a kick, this one is an absolute must-try. It’s become my go-to, and I look forward to it every single time.
The service is always friendly, fast, and professional. I’ve never once had an issue with a delivery, and if something minor happens, they are quick to fix it with no fuss. This kind of reliability and care in their service is something you don’t find every day.
My family has loved Babylon for years, and whenever we’ve had friends over, they’ve always been impressed. I’ve introduced several people to Babylon, and they’ve become regulars themselves. It’s the kind of place that earns your loyalty — one taste and you’ll understand why.
And it’s not just about pizza. Babylon also offers a vast range of incredible desserts — often from The Cake Solution or similar top-tier suppliers. Their dessert menu is perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth, and everything I’ve tried has been absolutely delicious.
Right next door is Poppdom, their incredible Indian takeaway, which I also have ordered frombefore. Whether it’s their flavour-packed curries or their perfectly crispy poppadoms, everything is made with care and quality. The combination of both Babylon’s pizza and Poppdom’s Indian food is unbeatable.
The pricing is always fair and reasonable for the quality you get, and you can always count on Babylon to deliver on value, portion size, and taste.
After 25 years, I can still say with total confidence that Babylon Pizza is hands down the best takeaway in Nottingham, and I’ve yet to find anywhere that beats them — not in Leicester, not anywhere else in the world. If you haven’t tried them yet, you’re missing out on one of the city’s best-kept secrets. Here’s to another 25 years of mouth-watering pizzas!
My husband and I decided to stop by Amaravathi Leicester for a quick dinner on a weeknight around 7pm. We were warmly welcomed by the waiter and promptly shown to a table. The restaurant is small but cozy, ideal for small groups, and since it was quiet, we were seated right away without a booking.
We were served water and our drink orders were taken immediately. The menu had a good variety of options, and the décor added to the warm and inviting atmosphere.
We ordered the poppadom tray, vada (which came with some really tasty chutneys), and a plain dosa. Everything arrived hot and fresh - the dosa in particular was absolutely delicious. You could really tell it was made fresh to order.
The service throughout was excellent. The waiter was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. It was also nice to see other customers clearly enjoying their meals, which made the overall atmosphere even more pleasant.
One thing to note: there's a minimum spend of £20 if you're paying by card, so it's worth keeping that in mind.
Great food, good service, and a comfortable setting. I’d definitely visit again!
We stopped here overnight in our motorhome. After a long drive, we were starving and had the pizza. Wow! It was amazing.
Staff were very welcoming both when we called to ensure there was space for us and when we arrived.
Beautiful church opposite and the bells didn't bother us at all.
The barmaid rudely asked us to not stand talking at the bar as we were blocking the way for out of control children to run around.
Food was very small in size and beer £6.50 per pint. Not recommended 👎
Fantastic boozer, massive screen outside, loads of comfortable seating and great grub and even better beer. Greene King IPA let me forget about my diabetes. Watched Ireland beat W.Indies easily, sat outside in the sun.
Stayed for the evening to watch SpursvUtd in Europa final. Yeah we beat them 1- 0 and I loved it.
Ordered butter chicken and chicken Jalfresi. Sadly butter chicken was like a korma it had coconut in it. Butter chicken should not have coconut in it. The Jalfresi was better but certainly not the spice (chilli) level I would have expected. I have eaten in at this restaurant and the owner and staff are really nice people its a shame the food let's them down. Price is also reasonable.
I often come here with either my mum or friends and we love it every single time. Great value for money. Considering we order a lite bite, we feel so full afterwards. Definitely recommend it as the food tastes absolutely delicious and the customer service is amazing. The pub itself is also a really good atmosphere
