The food is good, staff friendly. HOWEVER please check your change. I bought fish and chips paid with £10 note and only received 70p change! £3 short of what I should have received.

Fun Ska music evening. Great atmosphere. Great value bar prices. Great choice of beers and cider on tap. Friendly bar staff.

El pub se ve increíble, muy bien decorado con un ambiente acogedor y acogedor. Teníamos pizza, patatas fritas y algunas aceitunas y pan, todo estaba fresco y delicioso. Jay y Georgia eran anfitriones fantásticos, tan amables y hicieron que todos se sintieran como en casa. Un ambiente tan encantador por todas partes — no puedo esperar a volver!

We had an amazing time at this place. The food and service was amazing and the entertainment was absolutely brilliant. A great find in Wellingborough. Will definitely be coming again, we went as a party and we all had an amazing evening. Money well spent.

First time I have been me and my wife took the grandson for his birthday. We all enjoyed it fantastic food and surroundings staff were very attentive.

Wonderful service and a vast choice of meals for a Sunday! Our food was excellent and I would return to dine here when in the area again. Highly recommended!

Popped in today for delicious tea and cake , It was to say Thankyou to the kind young man and his mum who helped me out with a seat and water yesterday, as I was feeling Steep hill and post Covid symptoms yesterday. Genuine common sense and kindness . As you guys weren’t there please take this as my sincere thanks and a recommendation for fab cakes and teas !

Love this place, really friendly landlady and her staff are lovely 😍 they even do a flea market on a Sunday in the summer, Bingo on a Monday is good fun too. They don't do food, but apparently will be doing food soon..

Went yesterday on a Sunday (13/04/25) with two cousins as the new Mumtaz lounge have now moved to Merlins. Ordered King Prawns for starters but it wasn’t spicy enough for my liking even though I did ask the waiter to make it spicy Bengali style. In my glass of Diet Coke however there was a fly which I told the waiter about which he just laughed and put the glass on a nearby table. He didn’t do anything about it until I told him I need a new glass! The Keema Nan was good and was fresh but the mixed grill for the main again was not spectacular. The tandoori chops they gave to replace the chicken which apparently they ran out of was quite tough to chew and not soft. Overall it’s nothing special and the fact that there was a fly in the glass when they poured the coke raises questions about their hygiene and so won’t be coming back.

The food was wonderful. Portions big. Really enjoyed the afternoon .6 of us and a23 month child. They couldn't do enough for us. The only thing stopping it getting 5 star, was the dining room. No other on tables. Room very sparce. Just a fewittle touches would make a whole ot of difference. But overall very 😉

Beautiful, food, always a warm welcome, you must try this Cafe, a bit of a mad Road to PARK ... but well worth the walk to the cafe, for the, gorgeous food, freshly cooked.

If I could give 6 stars I would. Had a lunchbox yesterday & was really nice. Today had jungle curry & chips ~ I could eat this everyday. Lots of meat. Staff are so friendly & polite. I’ll miss this shop when I go back home to Nottingham

Esta fue nuestra primera visita a The Haxey Gate Inn después de haber pasado por ella en unas cuantas ocasiones y visto algunos coches aparcados fuera y leer algunos de los comentarios y echar un vistazo a su sitio web que podría tener que ver con la actualización de precios, reservamos una mesa con antelación y se nos mostró rápidamente a nuestra llegada. Aunque el servicio inicial fue bueno el resto de la noche resultó ser no más que la media con esperas para nuestra orden de comida para ser tomada y luego servida y la comida en sí resultando no ser mejor que la media. Quizás un tiempo antes de que elijamos regresar.

Went for first time for works belated Eid celebrations. Food was lovely, big portions. Friendly welcoming staff that kept us entertained!

SHOCKING…. Visited today with family, pre ordered night before but still had to wait over an hour… told carvery would remain open but on arrival it wasn’t n meals plated up!!! Worst carvery ever tasted, roast potatoes like bullets and couldn’t even cut the beef with a steak knife. Cousins 4 year old daughter physically choked on the beef and not one member of staff asked if she was ok or even came over to the table…….. table were dirty. Worst experience of dining out I have ever had. Will not not be returning!!!!
