Since the new owners have taken over this pub has been improved 500%. Much cleaner more choice friendly owners and staff always welcoming. Went to the derby tup in September for the first time since May, they have a good selection of real ales and the place has been decorated. It's a vast improvement on what it was before.

No real ale on at all, not one ... because of a busy weekend, but it's Tuesday. Thinking of coming back on Friday but not if there's nothing on the pumps.

Hands down the best pub round Chesterfield up and coming with fantastic regulars with the warm, classic homily and welcoming feeling competitive pricing on all services and without the watering down unlike many others. Will reman my regular watering hole till my last breath

Really enjoyed myself and my experience there was great and the staff were really sweet and was very much approachable and helped me with any needs that I had. All in all a fantastic experience.

Pub full of the great unwashed, terrible beer selection and no idea how to make a G&T. Would not recommend at all.

Went in here thinking we were going to watch a singer ,turns out it was the night before 🙄 Never mind ,Josh the wonderful barperson kept us entertained with his funny stories about his Mother's escapades 😂😂😂😜

An old stomping ground that went sadly down hill for a few years. Nice to see it's on the up again with friendly staff and more importantly, good beer....

A proper old ale House, lots of character, fine ales and ciders.

Old fashioned real ale pub. It's like something out of the 50s inside - just lacking the sawdust, smoke and spitoons. Place was buzzing with regulars when I went in last night (April 10 2015). Had one and half pints of Doctor Death Porter. Good ale, but at £3.60 a pint I can't afford to do this very often. Food to be available soon so they say.

Two seasons ago away match, parked up, first pub in view. Wow, an ale drinkers HEAVEN,I counted 14 proper beer taps and sampled a fair few, not one duff un. Deffo return !
