Visited on a Saturday afternoon with friends to kick off a birthday celebration around a few of Nottingham's pubs. Personally I’m not a fan of craft beer but it was even more disappointing to get the choice of around 10 pale ales and 2 stouts, nothing at all in the “bitter” department. I did try one IPA and it wasn’t a good experience. Worse however were the prices, which were “craftily” displayed on the board for a 2/3 pint measure, so most were around £4.50 - but that’s almost £7 a pint, crazy prices! It was very busy and a good atmosphere, so not everyone was put off; but for me, I’d never choose to go here again!

Lost its way compared to three previous visits. Rooms and bathrooms are looking tired. Service in the Spa was not on point as previous years and not all appliances were working.
What a terrible welcome after 8 Mike walk …. Two lagers ordered, mine host stated I’ll be closing at 8 as it’s dead and it was. Blamed the owner not his terrible attitude.
Maybe clean your tables

Clean your beer lines, we paid £10 for two pints we left as cloudy and smelled poor. Such a shame as a great village- go elsewhere Anywhere but here. Poor.
Ordered takeaway on Saturday for 6pm. Called at 6.50 and 7.50, even had a call back at 7.00. No food or refund as promised. Have used takeaway several times before.
UPDATE. Call back from manager, with a lovely apology and takeaway this evening . Thank you.
We decided to go for a meal out on Wednesday forgetting it was pizza night! But my god the pizza was lovely! Lovely restaurant and staff and very reasonable prices... Two pizza and two drinks for £25 (one of which was a glass of wine)
Can't complain.. The only thing I wish is that they did the normal menu through the week as I'll struggle to make it on a weekend.
Popped in whilst walking the dog earlier .great little spot to sit in the sun next to the river and enjoy a pint.
Great walks either way. Drinks averagely priced with a good range .
We will be back

This place has gone downhill. It used to be excellent for food and have a great atmosphere. Not anymore. Trying to find out if the chips were suitable for celiac was like trying to get blood out of a stone and the owner was rude about it. It was easier just to order the rice instead in the end. I had the turmeric chicken. The chicken was tough and dry, sauce and rice were bland and when I got home I had to cook more food because the portion was so small. I'd hate to see what the child portion looks like. I give 3 stars because I've had good meals here in the past and have had some good evenings in this pub a long time ago. Otherwise it would have been 2.
We have used this fish and chip shop several times but this was first time in along while . The fish and chips were lovely and warm and tasted like the ones you would get at the seaside would recommend this chip shop to all my friends.
Came here and food was delicious with very fast service by our waitress Mia. The drinks were amazing and I will definitely be coming again! Overall lovely atmosphere and yummy food!!

Expensive for a chain especially starters. Food is good but even for what looks like a new building it feels untidy and a bit run down. Service was excellent and very friendly
