Golden Fry in North West Leicestershire

Good fish and chips. We’ve been twice now. The first time we got a bigger fish but the chips weren’t piping hot. But the second time we got a lot more fresh chips and a piping hot fish. For the price I think this place is a good shout :)

I have a couple of Australians staying with me and they both said it’s the best pizza ever. Lovely toppings and lots of it. Very tasty. Would highly recommend. Delivery guy was lovely n friendly n polite.

This takeaway no longer seems to deliver on just eat. On 5 separate occasion they have cancelled my order. Fed up of dealing with hungry kids won’t use them again. They should not advertise on this site if they can’t deliver on non busy days ie a Tuesday night

food was cold on arrival and 15 mins late, golden fryer had already added an extra 30 mins on the original tone. food looked anemic. Delivery person told me I was a bit far out the way for them, so perhaps don’t have Ellistown as a delivery? won’t use again.

Delivery was late and food was cold.

Fantastic value for money, tasty good quality food, was a little cold when it got to us, I think we was last for delivery as we had a text at least 15mins before it arrived (not that far from us) asked for chilli sauce in a tub and it was put on the kebab, will probably call the order through next time, just used just eat as needed to pay by card. Overall very good

Ordered for delivery at 8, rang at 9 and they said i Had to wait for the manager to come back if there is a problem, the food never got to my house until 11.

But received wrong order and food was cold.

food starting to get like a motorway service area....... small portions and overpriced cannot beleave how small the fish has got from how it used to be and now it’s starting to get bones in it. the chips are half the size from what they used to be. apart from that its ok ish................

Food arrived half an hour late and was luke warm at best and everything seemed to be soggy, have had food from here before and it was much better previously, would recommend that this restaurant reviews the delivery service.

Kebabs were lovely but the chips were not fresh chips stale and over cooked just looked like they been warmed up instead of fresh out the fryer!!! So bit disapointed really gone down hill from wat you used to be like ! And delivery was late as usual

Very poor service it’s not that far from my house but taken 50mins more than it should have 2 hours for a pizza to feed my kids is pore service don’t use

The food was half an hour late & lukewarm when it arrived..

45 minutes late on an hour long wait- so 1hr45min total wait to get food. Called a couple times to ask how long to just be told ‘soon’ (despite then having to wait a further half hour) Delivery driver (although I’m sure not his fault) didn’t apologise for the lengthy delay. Not required, just seems poor customer service. Unfortunately the food was not worth the wait. Fries were inedible as they were very soggy, chicken was okay and pizza was just fine- slightly burned if anything. Pizza also doesn’t come with dip This was my first experience here and subsequently my last

excellent food and very cheap compared to other places was a little cold due to the long wait but overall really good will order again deffo.

Good food which arrived hot. Spam fritters looked a bit weird though but everything else was good.

absolutely amazing food tonight!! it arrived hot and steamy rather than cold like normal!! gave the delivery driver a good tip as was absolutely fantastic!

All round brilliant. The Rockstar was under desert, when it turned up it is an energy drink. If I knew it was a drink I would of ordered the cheesecake, bit disappointed but the food was more than enough anyway.

Our order is said to of been “delivered” yet has not showed up, plus we payed by card so we can’t even keep our money. I am not happy at all!

This for me is a 50/50 takeaway outlet sometimes good sometimes terrible but never great I'm afraid.

Order from these most weeks, but unfortunately wasn’t happy with the food we received yesterday, only just warm and the amount of kebab we received was not good even though we paid for extra large., it was very small. think all depends on who serves the food.. Overall wasn’t happy!

Really great pizza and chips where lovely just a bit to much cheese for me but the kids loved them. Will be ordering again

Foods nice a part from the chicken wrap which was ok. Good service friendly delivery driver. Good value meals. All in all a good restaurant.

I ordered food at 17:30 it arrived at 19:30 so I rang up to find out where my food was to which the member of staff replied I could of always collected it I was so ashamed I won't be ordering from there again and I ordered nearly every week

Had the best pizza ever from here. I would highly recommend this place and I will definitely be ordering from here again. Brilliant.

Order from here alot never normally have an issue, ordered an extra large wrap and turned up as a regular wrap, also chips were really greasy and the order was over 30 mins late and that was after they had put my delivery time back twice

Very nice pizza and kebab and gave me a hot sauce like I requested.

Also I only received one of the battered mars bars.

Twice their has been a problem with your restaurant and my order on the last 3 weeks

not the best, small portions on meal deal. used to be a great take away despite the rubbish delivery time, now the food isn't that great either.

Best chippy I've ever eaten - not greasy, battered sausage crispy and the gravy was tasty and thick - spot on, will be using Golden Fry from now on as our local chip shop - delivered early too, which was nice when really hungry! 5* rating from us!

Food was tasty although portions seem to have shrunk. Ordered from just eat app so order was writen down, they still managed to mess it up. Was told it would be ready at 6, had to wait 30 mins because of staff not knowing what they are doing and they had forgotten to even cook the pizza.

Food was average. The only put off was the bones in the haddock.

As a long term customer of Golden fry, we can safely say that this was the worse takeaway we've ever had from them. The order was wrong, cold and took over an hour to be delivered. Sorry to say we won't be back

I went to collect but food was 15 minutes later than agreed time. I wasn't kept up to date with what was happening as to why I was waiting beyond my time. the staff only spoke to me when they wanted my money

We ordered kebabs, they were just the right amount for us, only downside can only have salad so had to order small chips as Well but really good food.

Food is lovely but I ordered cheesecake this time and it came frozen??? That's supposed to be for dessert, I'll be having it for breakfast by the time is defrosts!

Took a while for collection time and wasn't ready when we arrived 40 minutes after our order. Pizza we ordered just tasted like tomato and meatball. Very bad combination

I ordered a cheese burger with lettuce onion and mayonnaise but instead I recieved a cheeseburger with chilli sauce.

Food was good but portion size gone down 👎👎👎 Why do you now serve fish and chips in trays for delivery?? You only get half the portion of chips but you still charge for a large portion??? Its bad enough paying delivery charge now ..

Got the order wrong. Argued that it wasn't when I knew it was. Finally agreed to replace and insisted to take cold pizza back as chef still didn't agree it was wrong. Not the 1st time they got it wrong and at time delivery takes ages despite reminders

Have had pizzas, kebabs and fish and chips and never had a bad meal. Always hot when arrives and none of it has been too greasy. First time for fish and chips and was fabulous. Always order from them and the delivery time is excellent always arrives before the estimated time given. Excellent service

Always nice food hence why we order from you every week, but this week the food was no where near the amount usually get. Hubby very disappointed.

When i arrived to collect my food at the time stated to collect it was told it wasn't quite ready it was going be at least 10mins , so I said that's fine . 40 minster later I asked how much longer is the food going be , I was told 10 minutes , I was altogether waiting for the order 1 hour . Service shocking x

Sorry to say but always been great and ordered many times but tonight's was not good , very greecy and full of fat , like a tub of lard cooked with the Kebab , also cold and hardly any salad . Not going to order again I fear that the food will turn up like this again , very very disappointed.

The Batter on fish was soggy and swimming in fat So was onion rings Fudge cake was lovely tho

Another great dinner..lovely fish and chips..a light crispy batter, chips perfect, no grease. Great price on all the food and friendly delivery drivers who love to talk to my 4yr old and make his day, a great business with good staff.

Kebab meat was dry, French fries over cooked. I usually have my order delivered but decide to collect it tonight. There was 6 staff serving and not one smile or a friendly greeting and when my order was ready I just got pointed at. I appreciate they were busy but rude service.

Food turned up cold when rang to complain had to go to the takeaway to receive fresh food instead off it been delivered
