The best restaurants in East Midlands

These guys are brilliant. Exceptional customer service, Really really good coffee, very friendly service and the food is great too. Definitely pay these guys a visit

Doesn't have an atmosphere, it's takeaway, but the spare ribs have always been excellent and I like the odd meals I go for, I rarely get rice or chips nowadays, my appetite seems to have shrunk drastically, but the food has always been great.

Lovely cafe right on the river. Very nice people, extremely reasonable prices, homemade cakes (always the mark of cafe quality in my opinion for the treats to be homemade vs. bought in). Delicious toasties and sausage bacon sub rolls. I really enjoyed the cream tea as well, excellent scones. I anticipate we will go back quite often, and I say this as an avid baker who sells treats and breads quite often herself :)

Fantastic food. Fantastic Host/owner. Fantastic support staff. One of Woodhall Spa's little gems. Eaten here many times and never had a complaint about anything. Don't take my word try it, you won't be disappointed.

My friend & I booked for a meal one lunchtime, we arranged to meet at the venue, obviously requiring a parking place each. On arrival we found there was only room for 6 on the forecourt because the owner & presumably staff were parked there. My friend managed to park & I had to go on the pavement along the road. The restaurant is nice inside with good decor & nice & clean. The waitress came for our order swiftly, but we hadn’t decided, so had a coke each. The menu was good, but I felt everything was priced high. So we ended up choosing the cheapest option, 2 slices of white sliced cheap bread with 3 pieces of bacon, and an egg, much the same as what I would of been given in a greasy spoon café & it was about £7 each. Nice coffee, priced at usual coffee price. We ate up & it was ok, but the owner came out & made a sarky comment about us having the cheap option, which I was shocked at. After all the hassle with parking as well, I will not return. Top tip Park under the railway bridge heading into Ambergate & walk to the venue.

Shisha is good and well priced. Tea is very well priced. Love it

Don’t get much better for the price, food comes quick and tastes banging. The guys in there are super chilled, top service and the new loaded fries are unreal 🔥

Coffee to go, called in like several occasions before, ordered a coffee told to wait outside, after 10 mins I asked nicely was it ready as waitress walked by, she walked back in saying for ffs, came out with the coffee slammed it down telling me not to bother going again. Don't worry I won't. Pity coffee was good.

The China Garden food is so consistent in quality and is absolutely delicious. I have been coming here for a few years now and quite honestly wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. I have been to various Chinese takeaways in the past but none compares to the China Garden.

Lovely food, prices and chef! Really recommend the chilli paneer wrap, I've ate here many times and would recommend to all!

First Chinese Takeaway I came to in Northampton and can definitely say, I will be returning. Clauria was amazing and the value for money was great. Could not finish the food as the portions were huge for such a small price. Most importantly the food tasted Great!!

If you want a proper good old pub this is the place and worth the walk. Good variety of drinks, friendly locals and good prices. Live music also.
