Riverside Cafe in East Northamptonshire

Lovely cafe right on the river. Very nice people, extremely reasonable prices, homemade cakes (always the mark of cafe quality in my opinion for the treats to be homemade vs. bought in). Delicious toasties and sausage bacon sub rolls. I really enjoyed the cream tea as well, excellent scones. I anticipate we will go back quite often, and I say this as an avid baker who sells treats and breads quite often herself :)

We dropped in on a wet and chilly April morning having been out for a run. Although it's small inside and not officially a 'dine in' cafe, two fold-up chairs and a camping table were found so we could enjoy coffee and bacon rolls in the warm. The daughter-and-dad team running Riverside went above and beyond... and the homemade cakes look like ones we need to go back to sample soon!

Riverside cafe in a small unit with outside seating and gazebo. Next to fast flowing water in winter, lock gates and weirs. Nice staff, reasonable prices. I usually just have coffee on a walk, occasionally a cake.

Stopped off for a much needed bacon roll and a snack for the dog. Lovely little snack cabin in a great location. Staff were super friendly too.

Stopped here as we went through the lock, if you order when you start locking it will be ready to take with you. Simple snacks and delicious looking cakes. I had a bacon roll, loads of bacon! Seems a popular place. Friendly staff.

Outstanding .... The lady in there went above and beyond customer service helpful, our boat had ran out fuel and she took her time, car and fuel to take us to the nearest garage to get some, I can't thank her enough .... The food was also amazing and drinks.... But she was our angel I can't lie xxxx

A terrific little café in a wonderful setting. Outdoor seating only but it was a beautiful day when we visited. Food was good, especially the cakes and the coffee was good too. Staff were very friendly. Footpath to open fields and the Nene Valley Railway. Well worth a short detour from the main Nassington to Yarwell road.

The cafe is fantastic with friendly service and a lovely setting by the river. The coffees and food are delicious, I’d recommend the cheese and ham toastie and the gluten free brownie. We live quite local so have the pleasure of visiting the cafe every couple of weeks.

I enjoy stopping here either on a walk or on a canoe outing. I've only had tea and cake or a toasted tea cake so can't comment beyond this on the food. As it is outside seating the atmosphere is clearly airy so lovely in the sunshine. Tables do have umbrellas to provide shade and protect a little from the rain. Overall a lovely little cafe situated close to Yarwell Lock and a perfect place for a pleasant relax.

Stopped to have a coffee with friends visiting from Oz. Seating under canvas with cushions and blankets provided on a cold wet january morning.Will go back again in the spring.

Only had coffee on a winters day. But staff member made us very welcome with cushions and blankets, friend from australia were very impressed. Cakes looked good maybe next time 👍

What a lovely find. After a frosty walk we chanced on Riverside. We had gorgeous hot chocolate’s and fantastic home made brownies and tiffin. We were also bought cushions and blankets in the marquee. Such thoughtful touches make all the difference.

Small but adequate for a hot it cold snack or cakes. Hot drinks and food as well as cold. Tasty too.

Lovely little cafe in Yarwell right next to the river. Came across this when walking part of the Nene Valley Way. Very pleasant lady owner, cafe sells ice creams, cakes etc. all at sensible prices . A great place to stop for a break and rest.

It's a nice little cafe and right next to the river so very convenient for anyone passing through. Nice selection too.

The food is excellent. The cake homemade and delicious. Hannah and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Thoroughly recommended for a pit stop in a beautiful setting 👍👍

The best cafe around lovely by the waterside had a sausage and bacon sub with red sauce, cup of tea good value and boy it was yummy out this way give it try trust me👍

On a sunny day like today, this place was excellent and I will definitely be back. The coffee is good, the staff are friendly and it's a nice spot. With what I think is 100% outdoor seating though, I don't know what it'll be like on inclement days.

Part of the lovely walk areas in Yarwell Mill. Makes a lovely cuppa also leads to a large dog walking 🚶‍♂️area.

This is just a cabin you can't sit inside not a lot on the menu but my sandwich was well presented with salad and a small bowl of crisps

Stumbled on this sweet little cafe by accident on our morning dog walk and we couldn't resist popping in for a coffee and sausage bap! Was such a lovely experience and the lady was so friendly and helpful - will be back!!

On a circular walk from Elton via Yarwell Junction and Nassington we came across this lovely little cafe. The woman who runs it is friendly and personable and makes great coffee! The cafe is muddy-boot friendly too. Worth a stop to sit, have a cuppa and watch the river.
