Ying Lung in Northampton in Northampton

We are regulars here at Ying Lung. We really enjoy it and find it's the best in Northampton. The only thing I wish they did was accept cards for payments but a lot of Chinese takeaways are cash only so this isn't unique to Ying Lung, and the food makes up for it!

The best takeaway in town. Delivery is extremely fast. I've got my order for 20 minutes tonight. Food is always hot and super delicious. (Kudos for the the understanding and delivering food for hungry coach drivers at the rail station)

Friendly staff , but after 13 years of orders I think I will give up . Sweet and sour prawn balls are halved, all dough no prawn . Liberty as not a cheap dish . Need to find a new one in NN4?

The best Chinese food in Northampton. Good quantity and spicy just as i like it unlike most others that are too bland. They mixed my last order up last night but still the best so far.

Red Thai curry not nice, sorry. Other meals quite bland. Never again.

I used to go here quite often to get Sweet & Sour Chicken, but I’m pretty sure their recipe for it changed suddenly as it tasted different and not as nice as before. I could be wrong, but it tasted different. Still a good place with good food.

Have always enjoyed the food here. Last night I had the first Chinese for about two years and was looking forward to it so much. I had Chicken Chow Mein. Sorry to say it was tasteless, hardly any strips of chicken as well as dry and cool chips. My son had the Mushroom Foo Young and said it was the worst he has ever had. Foo Yung was dry and over cooked. More like a well cooked omelette and cold chips. Sad as was so looking forward to it.

Favourite go-to Chinese. People are friendly and helpful. Food is well made and priced.

This was hands down the best Chinese take-away I've had from Northampton, and I've had a fair few. We had prawns with cashews in yellow bean sauce, sweet & sour special chicken balls, roast pork Kung po, satay chicken and BBQ spare ribs, just couldn't fault it, it was delicious! Will definitely be returning.

It's quite good. Some dishes better than others. I often get a headache after chimes food due to additives but this generally seems ok.

Great Chinese! This is now definitely my local. Food tasted great and the service when I got there was really good. Slightly over priced and the chicken satay was a bit dry (hence the 4) but me and the family overall enjoyed it!

Ying Lung is without doubt the best Chinese takeaway in Northampton. The chef is happy to adapt the meals to your taste. If you want more garlic or chilli, they will do it. Great food, superb service and good value.
