I booked the Playhouse for my works Christmas party; Denika was amazing and tailored the party to meet our needs. Nothing was too much trouble; she went out of her way to make sure we had the best night. The staff were so friendly, nothing was to much trouble. The food was great and there was a huge selection of drinks and funky cocktails. Loads of different games to choose from. Had the best night and already planning our next party with them :-)

Denika guided us through our options, she was amazing! Small personal area provided to celebrate our son’s 18th birthday. On Saturday 17th Joe was hands on with her beautiful smile and she provided fantastic service and energy. All the team work hard and the food was lovely. Big shout out to you all for such a great, fun place and your bosses should be proud of you all 🤩

We went as a group of 10 for our works xmas party. Was really easy to book and a great price. We weren't able to book the beer pong as it was fully booked, but on the night they kindly organised it for us last minute which was great, the package was brilliant and the car racing upstairs was the highlight, great food, great atmosphere too, special thanks to Denika for sorting us out before and during the evening :) would highly recommend

We booked Sparky's yard at Playhouse for our work Christmas party and it was epic! We were very well looked after by Denika, everything went smoothly and everyone enjoyed the package we opted for. They were able to cater to very mixed dietary requirements such as vegan and gluten free with no hassle at all. Everyone really enjoyed the games too. Thank you playhouse!

Booked Playhouse for our team night out. Was about 25 of us (between 25yrs -50ish). I booked direct with Denika and from start to finish the whole experience was so easy and straight forward. On the night we were greeted by the rest of the team they could not do enough for us everything was organised and I did not have to worry about anything. Food was tasty, hot and plenty of it. Cocktails fantastic. The gaming brought our inner childness out and was def a giggle. The mini cars upstairs were good fun as well. Everyone said they enjoyed it. Good value for money. I have since been back with friends and our children and it was just as good. Hope to go back soon. Thank you everyone at Playhouse for making our night out one to remember.

Spent a considerable amount of time arranging my daughter's party with the venue - even agreeing what table and food they would get and paying a deposit. When we got there on the day, no member of staff knew anything about it - no table was reserved for us and the staff were clueless! The events organiser that we had dealt with(Denika) was not there and was uncontactable! The party was totally ruined - nobody apologised or made any effort to look after us! So my recommendation is NOT to go here for any sort of party as they over promise and very much under deliver!

This place is amazing, we had my sons 14th birthday here. Downstairs you have arcades where you can purchase a card which allows you to use all the games which seemed to range from £1 per game upwards. I just gave all the kids a card with some money on so they could go off and play what they wanted while I sat and had a drink in the comfortable seating area. They had a huge bar with a good selection of drinks and cocktails, I noticed they did a bottomless brunch with unlimited pizzas (which looked lush by the way) 1 meter long pizzas cooked fresh in the pizza oven. Upstairs they had a racetrack with remote controlled cars which you could play on all together while sat in a race car style seat with a steering wheel. It was so much fun, I think 1 game was £4 then £9 for 3 or £15 for 5. They lasted about 5 mins per game and a DJ played some good tunes while we battled it out on the track. They also had a smaller selection of arcade games upstairs by the race track. If your going with kids I would recommend going earlier in the day, I'd booked for 3pm which was perfect and really quiet. We left about 5.30pm and it was just starting to get more lively with groups of adults arriving for a night out. Staff were fantastic and if any of the boys had a problem getting a game to work they were happy to help them out. Highly recommend this place. They don't have any parking but you can park outside on the meter for 2 hours or i think there's a public carpark a short walk away.

Went here with some friends to celebrate one of them leaving for Germany. It was a great night, the drinks were good, the staff was very friendly. I didn't get to try the food but next time. I really enjoyed playing the games while I was there as well, it really gives the place a different vibe than other places.

We have booked for bottomless brunch. We were the only booking in the building and we seemed like an inconvenience for most of the staff members, except one guy who made our drinks and spoke with us. When I asked when we could get our pizza I was told we can have only one for 4 people and there are no other toppings than pepperoni. So we had pepperoni pizza. Nice place, but I don't think I will rush back any time soon.

Had a fantastic afternoon. The margarita pizza and chicken strips were delicious, brought out in good time, and were well worth the money. I was served by a nice young man, called Cadmus, who was very inviting and had a friendly face, who greeted me when I first entered the establishment. The nice young lady who served me my Pepsi at the bar, didn't catch her name, was also very welcoming and sorted out my refreshment. I really enjoyed the mixture of games; street fighter and guitar hero being my favorite. I will come here again, and I have spread the word of this fantastic place to family and friends. The experience of booking the event wasn’t the smoothest however we booked the raceway for a family birthday and we absolutely loved it. One of my favourite activities we’ve done as a family and would defo do again.

Had a great time here with my boyfriend and some mates. The servers were very friendly and the bottomless brunch menu option was fantastic value for money, as well as great quality. Nice selection of games too! Update: 25/11/23 Really disappointed with my visit to Playhouse today. Completely different experience from the first time around. I will make note that we came at a completely different time, so the vibe, level of business and clientele was a lot different, but I feel like my issues with Playhouse today had little to do with these things. For one thing, my partner and I ordered a meter of pizza, £30 worth, to split between us, and it was somewhat burned. We did have a server come over and ask how the food was and was going to point out the pizza was burned, but he didn't even look in my direction or give me a chance to say anything after he asked everyone else I was how the food was, just shot off as soon as he heard a yes. It completely ruined the taste of the pizza and as a result I only ate two slices. My partner and I both agreed it tasted like charred cardboard and was difficult to eat, and just felt like a waste of money when we could have gotten nicer food for less somewhere else. Second issue was the machines. We were actually excited to see that there were more machines available compared to last year, but when we had numerous issues with the machines (I e., Guitar Hero stopped working entirely, the pedal on Time Crisis didn't work half the time, the aim on the Alien shooter machine was way off and kept flicking off to the side and made it pretty much unplayable, etc) and at one point, at around £1.75 a pop, I just gave up and decide it wasn't worth the money. And god, I probably sound like such a boomer when I say this, but for somewhere this isn't a club the music was so loud...? It made it genuinely hard to speak to each other in the actual building, and we often elected to just stand outside in the cold and chat rather than stay inside. And look, I realize it's a Saturday night, so it's going to be a party vibe, drinking, having fun, but, seriously. Across the street we could hear the music from Playhouse louder than the music from the club on that side of the street! So, combine the disappointing pizza, the lack of functional machines that we wanted to play, the need to actually stand outside to chat, we would have been better off buying a £2 oven pizza from Tesco and standing out me back garden with some friends to get the same experience for a lot cheaper, and even then I'd have the luxury going back inside to enjoy the warmth when I'd had enough. All in all, I can't really recommend Playhouse any more off the back of my experience tonight, which is such a shame considering I enjoyed it so much last time. I don't know what's changed but it's just gotten a bit sloppy and things have fallen by the wayside. I don't think I'll be coming back. :(

Where do I start? I have to say the 2 staff that helped us were good but it was one of those nights where everything just went wrong. We bought £100 worth of game cards, for machines that kept taking the money but wouldn’t work.. some apparently with additional buttons (no signs), and will continue to take credit. We ended up complaining, after lots of back and forth and just giving the cards back. We were given 3 races upstairs as as an apology but was booted off after 1 for ‘people that have paid’, which naturally annoyed the whole party who was out for a birthday. By this point I think everyone just gave up and ended up at the bar. Service was good, but the drinks weren’t good at all! Some of the spirits didn’t taste like what they should’ve been - vodka and southern comfort in particular. We didn’t eat, so can’t rate the food but in all not a great experience. It felt like an absolute rip off honestly.

We came for the brunch option today and it was great. The pizzas were hot and fresh, with a quick service considering they are a meter long! There was a great choice of drinks for both alcohol and non-alcohol brunch options. Staff were so friendly; thank you especially to Adam and Jo for being so helpful. The choice of games is great too - we will definitely be coming back for another brunch as it is great value for money. Thank you all!
