The experience started very well with a lovely female staff member who said on the phone that they could surely "rustle something up" even if we were late arriving. In the end we arrived around 8:30pm to go to a wedding at Crockwell Farm the next day. Claudio welcomed us warmly and the chef 👩🍳 (owner as well we believe?) prepared a lovely dinner even though it was probably past their serving time. Our room was compact but had everything needed. A bit more shelf space or a chair and some hangers would have been handy; but with an old coaching inn there is only so much that can be done! For the same reason, the rooms on the upper floor are reached by narrow stairs - tall individuals (and those having consumed a few beverages)beware! Breakfast was continental with some extras, all self service. We had a lot of choices but obviously there are limitations. The Earl Grey tea was very nice, the Cafetiere coffee less so. But within the facilities is was altogether a well thought out spread. Overall we would certainly recommend and will return if in the area.

Fabulous pub with amazing accomodation. We stayed for only one night as we were attending a wedding at Crockwell Farm. We arrived early and Nathan was very accommodating for early check in. We were hoping to book a taxi from the pub to the venue, but unfortunately the taxis were only available from Banbury, and so Ben the barman offered to give us a lift and was very polite and courteous. We were unable to try the breakfast as we had to leave early for work the next morning.

I rarely give a bad review but really, this place should probably just give up and shut down. Massively over priced for portion size and quality, seemed very surprised to have our one table of 4 arrive on a Friday night, had to clarify drinks order and errors on food order with some vague excuse about the chef getting confused but served it anyway. Faulty Towers II. Food quite bland and basic compared to expectations from menu description and price. Only positive was the Asian chap who turned up after we'd ordered and tried his best. And even for other staff, not their fault. Lack of management and training and it appears, customers. Nearly £70 for 3 adults and one child burger and kids treat a complete let down.

We have been so disappointed since we moved here to find not only that most Chinese takeaways want a cash only delivery, but they have been tasteless and full of MSG. At last, today, we have found the most excellent take away. The food was really tasty, hot, delivery was so polite and we are so happy at last to have found our new go to. Well done Rice Bowl. You have won us over!

We`d just finished a Croughton circular walk, and needed "refreshment" afterwards. One of the locals said hello as we walked in. Staff were friendly, and there was Tribute, Wainwrights and Directors on tap. I went for the Directors, which was very good. The menu was on the wall, and was varied, lots of it homemade, and great value for money. Sadly, we`re quite a drive away, otherwise it would be become my local. Note to self: have a meal BEFORE going on Croughton circular walk.

Went here for an evening never again, awful cheap drinks and food was not cooked properly. Please avoid this pub at all costs. Previous owner was lovely but new owner is a Fraudster and steals people’s money. If your thinking about going here with your husband think again, as the owner Vicky has a history stealing peoples money. And brought this pub with fraudulent money , the locals are all aware what kind of person the owner is and will be avoiding this place for now on.
