Excellent service mainly by the Host. A lovely welcome, he explained clearly the options available, asked if we wanted porridge. Checked with the chef about the situation regarding my porridge, brought it to the table, asked for my cooked breakfast order and personally delivered when I had finished my porridge. We were amazed at his efficiency in the first hour before other staff had started their shifts. The porridge was excellent and the breakfast was beautifully cooked and lovely and hot. one of the best experiences we have enjoyed.

Hubby and I treated our Goddaughter and her brother to a lovely meal at this restaurant last night. Service was great and all the servers, Theresa - Angie and Arthur were exceptional. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them and they love to make sure you enjoy your meal in every way. Even though fairly busy for a Friday night - very little waiting time and the food was lovely and hot and well cooked and presented. A big thank you for a great night

Turned up at 615. No bar staff Nobody accepting our arrival even though staff were around (to even say someone will be with you ). Grumpy head of house to be told (well barked at) no roasts available - on a Sunday and ran out by 630 shocking shouldn’t be This was the second time in two weeks that they have had no roasts - time before we were there at 5 and they didn’t have any then. We didn’t stay we left and went somewhere else who were very accommodation friendly went out of their way and had roasts available at by then 7pm !!!!! Not what we expect From the turnpike

Went to celebrate the end of school holidays with the grandchildren Ordered our food and drinks that was served fairly quick. All was of good quality which we all enjoyed. The only disappointment was the potato skins that were tasty but we're actually just chips in cheesy sauce.

Had a lovely birthday meal the waitress was spot on (Angie ) she was super busy but gave us her full attention the service and meal was wonderful

Excellent service by the team especially Lauro. My husband has allergies and they were very thorough as always. We come back to the Turnpike a lot as food is always nice and we know we are in safe hands. Very friendly hard working staff who work long hours but give it their all thanks Lauro.

I had the pleasure of having breakfast and dinner for 3 days while in Northampton on business. The breakfasts were all cooked perfectly, which as a fussy eater can be tough. I sampled the fillet steak for dinner and it was superb. Compliments to the chef (for all the food). Arthur and the team are always smiling and make you feel welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommended if you want a hearty meal in good company.

Walked into chaos at breakfast 9am dirty cups and plates surrounded coffee machine and toasting area open full bins fresh bread an crumpets etc empty ordered full English for 3 poeple received someone else's order for 2 poeple not three by time other order was ready 20 mins later had enough and left after being tried to pay for 3 breakfast s so not the best and wouldn't recommend this place again

The Meerkat site clearly states that Beefeater offer 25% to Meerkat Rewards members from Sunday to Thursday. We visited the Turnpike (Northampton) Beefeater restaurant today (Sunday), & were told that Beefeater had told staff they were no longer offering this discount. We walked away without ordering any food, but anyone intending using Meerkat rewards at this restaurant need to be aware that we were not allowed to use these We simply will not return (& were regular visitors)

Our first visit to this Beefeater and won’t be our last. The food was excellent with a great menu choice and was served piping hot too. Our server Angie was superb, so friendly, attentive, excellent customer service and we would say a huge asset to this Beefeater restaurant. We will definitely return again when in the area.

Wonderful food all bought to the table together, and there were six of us, and most importantly the food was hot. My two grandsons especially like to finish off their meal with the kit-kat sundae.

The restaurant was very well laid out with partitions between all tables, the staff were all happy and friendly especially Angie who was our table waitress. The food was great and throughly enjoyed by all, we will definitely be returning soon.

We often used to eat out here before covid, today was our first visit back since. The staff greeted us, remembering our surname and family. The food was delicious as always and the staff, especially Julie were as helpful as ever and very friendly.

Went out last night (1st July) had nice food but this was let down by lack of presentation, food just on white plates no salad leafs, no making it look pretty. Menu still quite minimum do understand but this could be expanded or changed a little bit. Big thank you to Theresa who looked after us very well, nothing was to much trouble.Will come again but not for a while hope by then things look nicer

The whole restaurant is well managed with regard to current restrictions. We used the restaurant for the 3 nights we stayed and the food and service was excellent. Angie our waitress made sure we were well looked after. We would not hesitate to come back when visiting this area again.

We have regularly chosen the Turnpike to meet up for dinner and a catch up. Before lockdown it was pretty much a fail safe place to go. Good value and always decent food. However, we have now been twice since restrictions lifted and it really isn’t quite what it used to be. The menu is fairly limited to what it was, and although the food is still nice, the portion sizes are nowhere near what they were and the presentation of the food seems to of gone a little downhill too. It really wouldn’t take much to get back back to the old standards, so hope this feedback is taken on board. What has remained a constant through out is the lovely friendly waitress we always seem to have. Nothing is too much trouble and she is always smiling, even behind the mask! So a big thank you to Theresa, keep doing what you’re doing. She is a real credit to the place.

Had a lovely evening out with my boyfriend which was made especially nice because of our waiter Julie who was welcoming, friendly and very helpful. We will be returning for sure.

We had a wonderful meal out with the family at the Turnpike. Julie, Kai, and Hannah were very attentive to us. We required a bit extra attention due to some dietary requirements, but Julie made sure everything was perfect.We have been here many times before COVID, and this was our first time back since they reopened. I have to say the site was well set up and we felt very safe the whole time.Thanks again to all!

Really nice care in the restaurant by our waitress Julie last night. Care and consideration throughout, in a natural way and not forced.Food good too.Sadly the decor is very tired and in need of a refurb. With the current Covid situation that might have been scheduled, hope so.

We booked at the last minute using the on-line booking app. We were welcomed and seated as soon as we arrived and the food was excellent. The staff were courteous and helpful and the whole experience was one of total pleasure.

Had dinner and drinks here whilst staying at the Premier Inn next door. The food was well worth it and Jessica provided excellent service throughout the evening. Will definitely eat there again.

We visited the turnpike for a family meal in June and the food was really nice. I would like to comment on the service from Ange who was brilliant from start to finish, nothing was too much trouble for her. Thanks Ange for making the meal even more enjoyable. Will defiantly visit again.

Took my husband to the Turnpike for Fathers Day and food was served promptly. Lovely Sunday roast dinner with variety of vegetables. Our waitress Julie was extremely friendly and helpful and took our orders soon after we arrived. She also brought the bill when we asked without delay. We would recommend and go again.

My husband and i went for lunch at our favourite beefeater grill restaurant,Turnpike,Northampton.Once again we were greeted with a very inviting,relaxed warm and friendly welcome.Given a choice of table,and given menus to browse,whilst our drinks order was taken.they arrived promptly. Another lovely bubly waitress,Julie,came to take our meal orders,with sides ect..everything was fresh hot and cooked perfectly,with generous portions.We recieved great service,quality and value for money,and a lovely relaxed time,wonderful background music,and a real holiday feel,even though it was a lunch treat out.

En route to Windsor and stayed at Premier Inn Northampton West. Had dinner at the Beefeater and the food was lovely.

We had a really nice family meal here but what really makes the experience so much better and more personable is the service we receive from Angie. From the moment we sit down to the moment we leave she is always on hand with a smile and warm and welcoming service. If it wasn’t for her we may not be as regular as we are. Went to my local Beefeater Turnpike Northampton after at least 6 months due to the pandemic. Prior to this me and my wife and on occasions additional family were going at least once a month. Every time we visited we always had a waitress by the name of Julie and most recently we got her again. Me and my wife would like to say thank you kindly to this waitress Julie, always very welcoming, very friendly/bubbly and always makes our experience at Beefeater really enjoyable. Always at hand and attentive. Any problems (not that there are any under her wing) it gets sorted. Thank you Julie and see you soon!

This establishment is very clean, the staff are polite and friendly and the food is great and comes very quickly even when relatively busy. Highly recommended.

Visit was for a late lunch , did not book but received a welcome and showed the nhs app , after logging in was showed to seating all staff wearing masks.Julie was our waitress who was really pleasant and answered any queries we asked.In all Julie made our visit enjoyable and food was exactly what we expected .A nice meal and enjoyed the day

We come fairly frequently for dinner to this restaurant and the staff definitely make it an enjoyable experience, they are very attentive and great with the kids too. Our server recently was Angie (who we've met many times over several years) and she's always great, we're always happy to hear she'll be our server, though others are lovely too of course.We've been for breakfast a few times and I have to say that part of it does need some improvement, both in terms of the food and the service (I never see lunch/evening staff at breakfast times and it's been a noticeably different experience).

Visited for a late lunch as a birthday celebration for hubby (who was 65) - this was the first visit since 'lockdown release' on 17 May to eating indoors! The screens in situe and the one way in/out system make you feel very comfortable about visiting this restaurant. We'd booked our table - no waiting time to be served our drinks - food came out quickly too. A bit disappointed that our calamari was not as crispy as we remembered it but it could be our memories letting us down now that we are getting older !!! However our waitress ANGIE always makes us feel special (as she does all her guests) and always checks to see if the food was ok / or whether you want another drink or anything more to eat - she's very attentive no matter how many guests she is serving. A credit to this restaurant that's for sure over the years she has been there.

Went out for family lunch for 6 of us. Was greeted by manager on shift by name of kayleigh. Very perfessional, officiant and friendly. Took our drinks order and food. Jess lovely girl brought over our drinks. Then the lovely waitress called Angie who is a professional in her own right and a absolute star, friendly lady she looked after us. Brought our food over sauces and anything else we needed. Was great atmosphere. Food was delicious as always thanks to fantastic chefs. Dougill and Ryan I believe his name was. Definitely will be visiting again

A table of four. We had a lovely meal. Great atmosphere and lovely food. Our server Julie was amazing, very helpful and talkative, a very confident lady and smiling even through the mask. 2 of us forgot our masks but the restaurant provided us with masks which was very helpful. They didn’t turn us away and was happy to assist us. Would recommend for a comfortable, calm and happy atmosphere.

Lovely food and great atmosphere at this restaurant. Staff made us feel very welcome upon entering and clearly explained the Covid practices in place and one way system. Food was very tasty and arrived freshly cooked. Our server was Angie, she was very warm, fun and great with the recommendations. She was very helpful in assisting me with slightly adapting my dish to meet my needs. Often go to places where it’s often a chore, but for Angie nothing seemed to be a problem! Thank you. The staff make the difference and makes it worthy of repeat visits. Plenty of space in the restaurant and there is a relaxed, unhurried ambiance. Top marks.

This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly. Trish the sever is so friendly and professional. Trish is probably the main reason we have been coming back each year! They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is pretty good, some real classics and some twists, and for their prices it’s 100% worth it.

I was here for 2 weekends for the Rugby and Julie happened to be my server for both weekends, i cant fault her at all and she went out her way to help and make sure our meals were exactly how we wanted them.

Julie was incredibly polite and helpful, very accommodating with my son’s dietary requirements. We’ll be coming back again

Five of us had a great evening out. Great choice of food for all of us. We have been 3 times recently and each time has been consistently good. We had the same server each time (Julie). She was unobtrusive, polite, attentive and friendly. We didn’t feel rushed. We live locally and this is our first choice of restaurant to take family to, and we will certainly be back soon with other family members. Thank you for your hospitality.

The lamb chops yummy, the trio of fish yummy - the desserts disaster and the bill - watch the bill, they added three things on (£15) that we did not have

This is the second time of my trip to the turnpike! I haven’t been able to visit but I’m glad I could this time! What can I say? Breakfast was so lovely, Trisha was on and working hard making sure every customer was happy and settled. While doing other jobs she kept herself Busy during the time I was here. Nothing was ever to much for her to do. She was amazing my food was delicious and hot. The Lady chef looked very presentable, her uniform was nice and clean, her hair was up and out of the way. Thank you for an amazing breakfast.The restaurant was nice and clean the toilets were clean and topped plenty of paper towels. But most of all thank you to Trisha for an amazing time at the turnpike ! She had a great smile through the hard time and was very presentable. Thank you Trisha for an amazing time at the turnpike. Visited today for a late lunch - always feel 'Covid safe' due to the great measures the Turnpike has put in place. Great service, drinks arrived promptly and food was hot, well cooked and absolutely delicious as always! Our waitress known to us as Angie (Angela E) always offers her diners such ab fab service with a smile despite wearing her 'mask' - such a pleasure to visit this restaurant - we even tell Radio Northampton when we visit. I visited here on the first day of reopening after the recent lockdown. I booked a table whilst booking a room at the Premier Inn next door without any fuss.Covid measures in place. Food was good quality as was the service. Prices standard Beefeater prices. Overall an enjoyable visit.

Visited today for a treat - haven't been out much since Covid but feel very safe coming here to the Turnpike - Fabulous welcome, fabulous food and great service what more can you ask for. Our appetites have diminished greatly but we thought we'd treat ourselves to a Mixed Grill (to share) and the portions are so good, we still had some left (so puss cats have chicken & a bit of steak for tea tonight). Service for drinks on arrival was very prompt - as was ordering and the wait for the tasty hot food was not long at all. Angela E makes sure all her customers are well looked after. In fact all the staff were their usual attentive selves. Well worth our visit - looking forward to the next visit already - YUM.

We haven't been for while due to our last experience being so bad (Sept 2019 - we had booked a table but they were so busy they turned us away!!) anyway, today we decided to visit knowing it would be quieter due to the current situation. We were served quickly by very nice staff. Everything was clean and spaced out. Our starters and main were amazing! The roast beef dinner was one of the best I've had in a restaurant. There is an offer of unlimited gravy, roast potatoes and yorkshire puddings but this wasn't needed as we had plenty on our plates already.We will be back!

I just wanted to say what a fantastic upbeat member of staff you have in Arthur King.I just wanted a couple of drinks after a long day and the guy was great and positive to me and ALL others that he served.Nothing was too much trouble.Changes your impression of "just a place to eat" when staying away from home..

Great Service by Angie with huge smile and hospitality, Mix grill and T-Bone Steaks are cooked for perfection ( compliments to chef ) and safe environment with lots of measurements from entrance to all parts of the restaurants. We love our dining experience an we will be back :-) Highly recommended !

Staff gave us a warm welcome and that friendly service continued throughout the meal. Our server, Kayleigh, was very attentive and took time to ensure that we were happy with everything. The food was well cooked and tasted good too. I had the vegan burger. They use Beyond Meat for their vegan burgers. It's a really good brand and you can taste the difference. The covid safe measures here are also good with plenty of hand sanitising stations, table sanitisation between customers, socially distanced tables and a one way system. Excellent lunch out with the family.

First time out for a while. Felt very safe, all correct procedures followed, sanitisers, one way system, tables far apart, dividing walls, masks etc. Food was excellent. Serving staff kept as safe distance as possible, but still friendly and welcoming. Definitely revisiting soon. Well done Turnpike.

We arrived at the restaurant and were shown to our seats with no delay by a very happy young lady. Our waitress was very attentive and chatty and the service was very quick and efficient. I ordered the mixed grill and every piece of meat was cooked to perfection. If your passing and are hungry then this is the place to eat.

The food was impeccable, the service even better and the new safety measures put in place due to covid-19 ensured we all felt safe and welcome.

We had a good meal from the lunchtime menu. Good food , great prices, good service especially from Angie. She always has a smile however busy she is.

My family have been coming here for some time for a weekend breakfast treat, maybe once every other month. The deal of 2 children under 16 eat free breakfast per 1 paying adult makes the price amazing value when you have 5 children !. Unfortunately I only have 1 under 16 now. It does make the "expensive" breakfast very good value. Never had a bad breakfast, really attentive servers/manager. Nothing is too much trouble despite Covid. Very safe. Any problem just mention and it will be sorted. I am only commenting on breakfast service. The manager, the chef and the waitress are so kind and friendly. You can't go wrong.

Me and some friends visited the Turnpike Beefeater on Tuesday, it’s the first time we had been out since February and were made to feel very safe, sat wellAway from anyone else but that didn’t take away from the atmosphere. You could see the chefs wearing protective masks too. The food came really quickly considering it looking quite busy our food was hot and tasty. I had the Bbq ribs with chicken and it was gorgeous. I wanted a dessert but was too full. The waitress was really attentive, I didn’t get her name but she took our order whilst stepped back and was warm and friendly too. We’ve already booked a table to return next week.

Came in for breakfast this morning great service and even better food just what you need to start the day, I regularly visit the restaraunt and always a great experience

Been regular customers here for years and it’s sad to see it slip into what it’s become. Had a meal as a family of four today and it was terrible. We did tell the waitress but nothing came back to us. The food didn’t seem fresh, the kids meals were woeful and most probably microwaved. Just over priced for what you receive. I paid the extra for a sirloin with my mixed grill at over £20 and it was just watery and flavourless. I don’t expect those prices with the meal quality. 4 meals, a drink each and two kids puddings was over £60! Won’t be returning. You can get a better meal in Kislingbury and surrounding villages for less. Covid or not, you’d expect better from a Beefeater chain!

We were greeted on arrival and everyone met us with a smile. The menu was limited slightly compared to normal but there was a good selection and we had no trouble choosing something we fancied. The food was good and well presented. Our waitress, Jessica, attended to our needs very well without crowding us and it was a pleasant experience with well-thought-out Covid systems.I gave the food very good because it is not Egon-Ronay, but neither is the price.I cannot comment in the questions on the vegan/veggie experience - not interested.Will return.

Family Birthday meal for 8. Well organised to ensure Covid disciplines on social distancing observed. Menu understandably more limited but main steakhouse favourites still available and good choice on kids menu. Use this place a lot and food quality consistently good and service is excellent with attentive and efficient staff. We had a great evening.
