The Greyhound Inn in South Northamptonshire

Luckily, we ordered our Sunday lunch a couple of days ago when the table was booked. It's a very popular pub for food so you need to plan ahead or you could be a little disappointed as they sell out very quickly. Food, as always, was very good staff very friendly, we will use again.

Incredible food - especially the steaks with a blue cheese sauce - at amazing prices, great value. A regular for us!

What a nice pub,we had not been in before but had heard good things and we were not disappointed. Food was hearty and very good quality, value for money was great. We will definitely be returning.

Lovely pub for drinking or eating lots of people eating and booked tables. Nice partially covered inside and uncovered areas. Friendly staff good value. Would come back and try dining also.

First time visitor on a late Sunday afternoon but food still available, which was well presented and very tasty. Good choice of beers available and a friendly ambience.

Nice pub but where refusing bookings for a table

We popped in on a late Sunday afternoon. A very quirky little pub with bags of character and charm. The food was cooked to order and was worth the wait. Good selection of beers and wines. Lovely friendly staff, attentive. Watch your head as you enter, the beams are low!

Food was amazing and freshly cooked. Good portion sizes and fairly priced.

We had a very pleasant evening meal at the Greyhound Inn. Food is very tasty and portions are big, very! The staff is welcoming and goes the extra mile to help. Can't think of anything more I could have wanted for our family meal. Not to be missed if you're in the area!

Great staff and good food. Beer is Greene King, which is ok. We were just a bit confused by the food situation to be honest, we may have missed the signs telling you how things worked. There are menus on every table, with table numbers, some said reserved, some didn't. We sat at a none reserved table and started looking at the food menu. A very nice lady asked if we'd reserved, we hadn't, and she said she'd have to ask the kitchen if they could accommodate us. Ok. Luckily they could so I went to order at the bar, but it's actually table service. Which is all great, but the table numbers suggest you go up yourself. So there seemed to be a secret handshake to food, but we could have missed a sign explaining this. In the end the food was ok-good. Seemed like standard pub food to me. Great staff and service, you just may need to reserve to guarantee food.

Turned up on Sunday with no table booked. Welcome was lovely. Vegan choices few, but burger was very tasty. Really lovely service and happy atmosphere

We walked in while travelling through in what agitated to be a fairly busy Thursday evening. The young staff were both attentive and polite 😊 Food was absolutely delicious! I had the butterflied chicken with salad instead of potatoes, which alteration wasn't a problem, and my hubby had the goat cheese salad. We both enjoyed the food very much! Given the size of the portions, very reasonably priced! I can only recommend the place.

This place was recommended to me for the service and food. We visited at the weekend and they didn't let us down. We had their steak and wine offer and the service and food was fantastic. The steak was cooked to perfection, the meal was delicious, the environment was warm and cosy and the pub is immaculate with super friendly staff. Highly recommended for food!

Local to home. Had the opportunity to visit and have a Christmas evening meal, absolutely superb and gluten free. Quality and service of the food was great. Recommend this pub for the food.

Everything was very good. The atmosphere was somewhat spoilt by screaming child. That has happened on a couple of occasions.

Couple of burgers and drinks. Best burger I’ve had in a pub, chips were also soft on the inside crunchy on the out, like old school home made chips, delightful 10/10.

A great traditional pub with friendly staff. Had a delicious Sunday roast and when I was unexpectedly back in the area a few days later I went back. The bar meal was equally as good and good portion size. Highly recommend.

You get a proper pie here! No silly ramekins with puff pastry lids. Great food and value for money. Lovely atmosphere and friendly efficient service. I'll be back for more.

Great pub, very friendly, lovely meal

We had lunch at the Greyhound on this recent visit and both had the sirloin steak which you then get to choose a bottle of wine. The steaks were beautiful and came with onion rings, jacket potato or chips, a large mushroom, tomato & a bit of salad. The staff are always welcoming here and the food was very tasty 😋

Well cooked food and every attempt to accommodate the different needs of the 3 people in our party. We had a comfortable table next to the fire - a lovely atmosphere. However the highest accolade must go to the person who served our table, who did everything possible to make sure we enjoyed our lunchtime meal today: friendly, good humoured and very efficient.

Me and my family went on a Monday, was busy, but wasn’t a long wait till we was served. Great service, 3 off us had the steak deal, which was cooked perfectly, and got more than we thought for £10. Amazing deal. I had the burger, was tasty. Thank you for a lovely evening. Highly recommend!

Went for son’s 18th birthday meal. Food fantastic. Staff absolutely first class and friendly and the pub was dog friendly (we had booked and checked first so suggest do the same)

Good size portions, price is good, staff are great which is why there is a good atmosphere to the quaint village pub.

My work colleague was staying at a local hotel in Brackley and we decided to find an alternative venue to dine. Being mid week and not having booked anywhere we decided to have a drink at the Greyhound Inn. We were served immediately and asked if there was any possibility that we could order food. Within minutes we were seated and browsing the menu and specials. We both ordered steaks and they arrived promptly and were delicious.

Fabulous Christmas 🎄 meal, lovely staff who worked endlessly to make the experience worth the 200 mile round trip. Special mention for Jan who along with the other staff all worked their little socks off.

Wonderful local, super friendly staff. Food was amazing and great value. We had a 2 steaks and a bottle of wine special for £40. Usually you’d get a set steak and no chance of having rose! We got a choice of steak (rump or Sirloin) and a choice of dry or sweet rose!

We went for the pie and a free drink special. The meal was okay, the pudding was meant to be strawberry cheesecake, but was in fact vanilla. Very nice, but the servier insisted it was strawberry "because that's what it said on the box". When the bill arrived it gave us only one free drink. It seems I'd ordered the wrong drink for the offer, but this was not pointed out when I ordered. We came away somewhat disappointed with our local pub.

Lovely pub. In the main part it is more an eating place but there is a cocktail section on a Friday and Saturday night. Food is plentiful and I've never had a bad meal here. Book in advance though to ensure you get in. Our go to local 👍🏻

It's changed a lot over the years, not as cosy as it once was as there used to be lots of lovely comfy seating. It is however a nice pub and the service is always friendly and fast. X

The food wasnt good and my cheese and bacon burger had no cheese in it, pricey too £3.50 for a late
