We attended a music bingo event last night , a family of 7 adults with our grown up children We had a really great fun filled night , It was very well organised and some of us ate food . Which was good. The lady who organised it , I think her name was Kerry , was so fun ,engaging and friendly, we really had a great time and will be back for more events !

20 years ago me and my wife and I got married at this venue, we had not been back since, so for our 20th, we had a meal in the restaurant (did not book a room). We had booked a table beforehand and was seated right away even though arriving 20 minutes early, our waitress was very polite and gave us plenty of time to settle and decide. We were seated in the section to the right of the door, so we did not get to really see the venue as it felt rude to wounder around. Food was lovely, hot, and good portion size. The atmosphere was a bit more formal, felt a bit like it was a business meeting, people talking quietly, no one left their seats, just a bit flat. Overall, it was a nice place to have a meal, a little pricey compared to alternatives, but if it's a treat or an occasion, you can overlook the price.

We had a fabulous meal here, we were served by Caitlin, she was incredible, one of our party is gluten free and she even brought out a member of the kitchen to check our order. She was so friendly, couldn't help enough. The food was delicious! And cost was brilliant. Honestly Caitlin is a star! X

I had a brilliant experience staying a night at the Saracens Head in Towcester. The staff were particularly friendly when greeting us and giving us information on our room and where we would be staying. We had a drink at the bar before exploring the town and again the staff were very warm and welcoming. I would say Towcester was one of the friendliest towns I have been to as somebody who has not visited before. We ended up going through the town for dinner and then came back to a cosy room even though it was -6 degrees outside. Which was very clean, well presented, and we both had a good night sleep. The breakfast in the morning was delicious with lots of options and we thoroughly enjoyed that before we set off. I would recommend!

After three consecutive Christmases at other places where we'd had experiences that would make Basil Fawlty cringe, we booked the Saracen's Head for Christmas lunch. It wasn't cheap, but nowhere is on Christmas day, and it was definitely worth it. Our accessibility requirements were handled perfectly. Drinks orders were taken before we'd even settled down. Drinks, starters and mains all came particularly quickly and were great. Some places cram as many people as possible in for Christmas service. I know there were 50+ tables being served but it was all done really efficiently without you ever feeling that you were one of many tables there that the staff were trying to juggle. Great staff, great food, a great place to trust with a special occasion.

Last minute table for 20. The staff went over and above. First visit, we'll be back. Thanks to the whole team.

Went for a late lunch after visiting Stowe Gardens war memorial installation. The service and food was excellent and at a reasonable price. Couldn't fault it.

Expensive for nothing. Overmarketed and overadvertised. Portions are small and overpriced. Pay for what? For the view on the naked wall called "Roman corner"? After having visited Cyrpus, İstanbul etc. You think we are unedcuated fools to give you all my money for your Roman corner view? They have stolen not only the head of Saracens but the wallet of yours too

Went to the Saracens head hotel for a meal it was very nice and the staff were welcoming and friendly.

Great location, ample car park, great customer service from Tracy and Sarah and excellent food and drink at a reasonable price.

Staff are friendly and attentive, food came quickly and was delicious. The yorkshires are fab! Portion sizes are good but there are also sides to add additionally. Great spot for a Sunday roast!

Called to book a family party for my aunts 95th birthday. As there was 30+ in the group we were given the Pickwick suite. As we were a large group we were asked to pre order and of course there were mistakes made by us which the staff picked up on and helped me get the order right. All communications with the staff before the party were efficient, professional & exceptionally helpful. - nothing was too much. This made it very easy for when we arrived on the day as we were given a single point of contact Jo - she was absolutely amazing. - even so there were a few things that we needed - an extra table for flowers, a knife for cutting the cake nothing was too much. Jo dealt with it all, always calm and unflustered They also allowed us to decorate the room - using blu-tac. Everyone commented on how good the service and food was. We’d like to thank the whole team. We had a very enjoyable day. We’re hoping to go back next year.

Lunch for 30 to celebrate a 95th Birthday The staff, particularly Jo, were amazing; so accommodating of our every need, kind and efficient. The food was great with generous portions. A really excellent, friendly and professional venue. We will be back.

Would like to thank all of your staff for making my Son and his Wifes Wedding such a wonderful occasion yesterday September 30th 2024. A fantastic venue for a small and intimate wedding. The ambiance was welcoming cosy and inviting. The service and the food excellent. A great choice of menu but happy to adapt to individual dietary requests too. There was a young baby in the party and they went out of their way to cater for his needs too. Would highly recommend The Saracens Head and look forward to visiting them again in the future.

Just had a great stay here for one night. I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful lady called Lucy. I was very early for my check in but Lucy kindly allowed me in to my room where I could continue working. She also gave me 2 vouchers for use at Greene King, one I gained 20% off my dinner in the pub. Food was great as well. I would definitely stay here again, thanks Lucy for your help.

My friends wedding was held here this weekend just gone and it was such an amazing day. I stayed here for 3 nights and you just couldn't fault anything, the staff were so friendly, the rooms were amazing, the beds were comfy, the food was gorgeous. And Michelle & David went above and beyond. Highly recommend this beautiful place to anyone wanting a wedding here.

We booked this pub restaurant for a family evening meal, as my husband was having a driving experience at Silverstone. I made a booking in advance & was called by the pub a few days before to ask if we could bring the time forward to 6.15, which we were happy to do. We arrived a few minutes early & the restaurant area was relatively quiet. We were seated at the table by the waiter & our drinks order was taken & duly arrived. We ordered starters & main course. We waited until 7pm, no food, no explanation, so my husband asked the waiter where the food was, he replied he had no idea, there was a function going on! More people came into the restaurant & were sat at tables. We waited another 15minutes & the waiter came over saying the party were only just onto their 2nd course & he couldn’t say when we would get our food, but we could have a free round of drinks! We left after over an hour, seeking food elsewhere, as did everyone else around us.

Tiny portions and a steak full of fat . Save your self a fortune and go somewhere else . £15:50 steak meal, a few chips and a basketball for steak

Came here for a quick lunch on a weekday afternoon. Service super friendly and helpful. Food choices great, and our order came out really promptly. Delicious fresh cooked food. A proper pub with clean spacious eating and drinking areas. Could not recommend highly enough.

I enjoyed my Saturday night dinner so much that I brought my wife for Sunday. We were in town from Wisconsin to treat my daughter to the F1 race. Both nights I thoroughly enjoyed both meals, beef pie and fish and chips. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was inviting. I would highly recommend to everyone.

Had a family party here at the weekend and the food was fantastic (buffet was organised) - we certainly didn't go short! The staff (Michelle in organising) and Matt/Rob on the night were excellent along with all the others who were super helpful. Today 6th July celebrated our 50th Anniversary with a celebration meal at the Saracens with our family . From booking our table to choosing the meal super efficient. Good and friendly service and nice interior but beer tasted like it had been in the barrel for a year or more and the food was very lacklustre for £20 each, side salad clearly came straight out of the fridge, didn’t have any steak, chips were decent but that was about it.

Just visiting Towcester for the Greyhound Derby & decided to eat before hand. Popped in to The Saracens Head & the food & service provided was fantastic. A very welcoming place to eat & drink. Second time staying here and cannot fault. Stayed Saturday 22 June during Towcester’s Midsummer Festival. The setup in the car park of the hotel was great and we really enjoyed the entertainment, we saw the Beatles tribute act and he was excellent. The bbq was outstanding, highly recommend!

This is a great place to stay. The staff is very kind. They keep this place very up to date and clean. You can walk to grocery stores easily and any pub in town.

I don't usually go into the Saracen's Head, but today's trip was great. The food was really top notch. I had a chicken in a basket and it was moist chicken with crispy batter and a lovely presented side salad. My wife had the steak and cheese baguette. The prices were great value for money. I see another trip in the future.

Welcoming staff and a lovely room Didn’t want a heavy meal so opted for a pate This was presented partly frozen When I returned it the rather large orangutang that was perched on a stool in the corner kicked off and started to square up to me, what business he had in this I do not know, Thank goodness the bar manager told him to sit down A lovely pub but watch out for the monkey !!!!

We went to the Saracens Head on a off chance, and we were highly delighted. Great food and great service. This prompted us to return on Sunday, where we had Sunday lunch and was not disappointed. All the staff , very friendly and very pleasant to chat too. Hopefully, we will return in the near future.

Just came back from a long weekend at the Saracens Head where we celebrated my son's wedding.The venue, rooms and facilities were excellent and all the staff without exception, were so welcoming, friendly and very efficient.I had some worries about the wedding meal having choices for all 3 courses but there was no need to worry -the kitchen and waiting staff handled this with ease and panache.This is an excellent hotel that I would recommend without hesitation.

Great for food, even better than our local greene king. Food was presented great and drinks were perfect (perfect amount of ice and lemon). Slightly more pricey than our local but more than worth it.

We went to Towcester for a funeral. It was an early start but Lucy on Reception made sure at least one of the rooms was available for us to use. Her and housekeeping were amazing. We returned to the hotel later that evening after the wake. We had not booked a tabkle and the restaurant and bar area was incredibly busy. Jo asked us to wait 10 minutes and managed to book us a tables, again amazing. Customer service second to none abd what a beautiful building.

Had a two night vacation fantastic hospitality met with a warm welcome and splendid room absolutely faultless. The evening meal was lovely and presentation was fabulous had a great night sleep but the best by far was the breakfast. Came down to a lovely warm greeting in the morning from staff and a fantastic fresh cooked breakfast. Thank you for such a a lovely stay your staff were superb.

I was on the way to the work meeting. But as of school holidays had to have my children with me. We decided to stop for a quick breakfast. Breakfast was delicious however my children did not eat because of being fussy. Member of staff noticed that I keep on nagging them to eat and approached our table and did magic, she promised if they finish their plates they will have a nice surprise. Plates were empty in no time!! I thought they will get a biscuit each, but I was pleasantly surprised when they got Easter presents! We will definitely come back again! We felt very welcomed and all our questions about food were answered, and food was very delicious! Thank you Tracey and Sarah for getting my children to finish their breakfast and being so friendly to us!

Mother’s Day meal and the food and staff were fantastic. We had a table for 12 and we were well looked after. The team did an amazing job.

Booked room for night as meeting up with family from area and we travelled in. Room was absolutely lovely. Really well decorated and bed so comfortable. For such an old historic building it has been refurbished sympathetically and retained its character.Had a fab nights sleep. We all had a meal in restaurant Saturday night. Was very busy throughout pub but didn't faze staff ! We all enjoyed our meals, huge portions too. Got 20% off of food bill too as was staying there so that was a bonus. Had breakfast Sunday morning. Good choice on menu. Full English was plentiful and delicious. Young waiter on duty morning of 25th February was so nice. Really smiley and nothing too much trouble. Didn't catch his name!! Absolute credit to business. Looking forward to another family reunion soon so can stay again. Thanks all team.

Stayed a week for work. Staff were great and we both loved the food.

I was meeting up with a friend after many years. He had visited this restaurant in past years and we arrived for lunch. We were given a choice of tables. Menus were available on the table and we were quickly served with drinks. Time was given for us to study the food choices. There was a good range and my companion chose the steak pie and I had the Macaroni cheese. Friendly service and pleasant surroundings and good food helped to make our reunion very enjoyable. I was particularly delighted to see that the tables were sufficiently placed so that conversations could be held without feeling other diners were able to eavesdrop. We had some room. Lovely Highly recommended

Staff very friendly and polite with some good recommendations on what to have. Had the crispy chicken with kiev sauce and it was delicious! Cosy and pleasant atmosphere my only issue was the steep stairs to the toilets. Couldn't fault the staff or food it was really nice.

Met some friends here for Sunday lunch, we hadn't been to Towcester before so were just looking for a pub in the town centre which had reasonable reviews and this seemed the best choice. The staff were absolutely lovely, couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating, however the Sunday lunch was really quite bad. I'm sure the broccoli was straight from the freezer into the microwave, the 'crackling' with the pork was one of those thin straws of crackling which you get in a packet in the supermarket. The Yorkshire pudding was so nuked that it was like a crisp, and to top it all the roast beef was just a chewy fatty mess, it was so gristly and fatty that you couldn't even cut it. The staff were very apologetic and offered a replacement for the beef, they couldn't do enough for us, so no complaints on the service or the general atmosphere, but come on Greene King, is this the best you can do for a Sunday dinner at £15/16 a head? It must be the easiest of all meals to cook, our meal was pretty much inedible. Won't be returning :(

Fantastic Sunday roast, the food and service was so good we went on 2 consecutive Sundays. We had made bookings for the roast and the serving sizes were generous. We enjoyed our family time at this pub and would highly recommend it to anyone in the area.

We just had a lunch for 16 that the team at Saracens managed perfectly. We were visiting from the US (we used to live in Towcester) and they worked with me from the US to organize everything. They knew exactly what we needed when arrived...
